Waze works fine in UK. Haven't used it for a while but some of the reported incidents had amusing descriptions, mostly blaming women drivers and their parking abilities lol

Uhm in México Waze works fine too... I started using NDrive, was the best for me for a while (In that moment I have a Xperia Mini [X10i]), it was the best, today I still use it (and works very very nice for me, but the maps are the same since then..... ¬_¬), Waze I dont like because the amount of data it use, I'm starting to using Google navigation, its very cool, and it work with Google maps so... they are actual, but it consume data traffic too, so I still preffer NDrive :silly:

A friend of mine recently installed GPS softare on her PC and it looks great. My phone is SE X1, and I want to know is there some GPS software I can use on my phone.
Yes, of course there is - I think of two that you can use - iGO and TomTom. I myself have tried iGO and it works. However, in my opinion it is pretty good but quite too often it goes stuck. Im considering trying TomTom but havent done it yet because of my laziness
"working" are tomtom, igo, navigon mn, garmin mobile xt (which i am using).
garmin works like a charm!
gps software
i think that Automapa have best maps and software. you must try this one

Wow, never heard of it.
However, I do confirm Garmin and Tom Tom, both version 6 and 7 works great.

Well it is a Polish GPS program. In Poland the consensus seems to be that it's the best software available for this region. There is also a broader version available with complete Europe coverage. Whether it's still so good for the rest of the European territory - I do not know. I don't think it has maps for the rest of the World.
My Xperia came bundled with free Automapa XL (Polish territory only) so that's what I've been using. Aside from some icons a bit too small in Xperia highres (not menus, but +/- for zooming for example) it works great and has helped me a lot so far (bought a car charger and car holder, otherwise it's not very comfortable to use).
Thank you all for your replys. So what is the price for Tomtom and Garmin? I'm afraid I cannot afford too much. Do they provide free trial? After all, I am new to GPS.
Get CoPilot - It's awesome and only $35. And you can download it. It's amazing that the price is so low. I can't figure out how to buy Garmin and TomTom legally anyway.
Ok I know it may be silly or everybody knows that....
Anyway as I was really frustrated with current Bing performance,
It was so sweet to discover that www.maps.google.com JUST works on IE... !

I really don't understand how there are so few comments on this thread...
I believe that this device is what xperia play owners are waiting for....
For me, one handicap of the xperia play is the lack of hdmi connection... With this, my xperia play becomes complete and gain two more years of lifetime.
How is the state of art of this xbounds?
Is there any release date?
It's going to be sold to general public?
Where to find it?
I want to spend my money now...
My xperia play would be gratefull...
seems like a gadget for the extremely lazy
and how long before u lose one of them?
Why would you lose it lol and for the extremely lazy!? What are you even talking about the best thing about the xbound is no cords and no lag I can not washout till is available
Sent from my R800a using XDA App
I really don't understand your point.
First, put one thing in your mind... Things are not to lose. Specially those you buy. If you are lazy enought, and if you try you can lose everything, like your xperia play.
Second, are we talking about the same thing? The gadget is not for extremely lazy. The gadget is for those who turn their xperia play to a pocket multimedia center.
I carry my xperia play to every where, to play games, listen music, see movies, navigate on web...
Wouldn't be wonderful to be on vacantions and connect xperia play to the hotel tv and see a movie that you kept on the xperia play?!
I think yes.

haha oops i got directed to the xbound which is like dog tags, that u put ur xperia play by and it just changes the settings, and u can have several of these dog tags eg one for work which turns up the sound, one for home that turns on wifi etc,and one by ur bed which turns the alarm on and puts phone in silent mode etc etc
sorry lol
Still those can be very useful if your a runner or a snowboarder or basically any sport because if you can keep it in ure pocket and just use those tags then you lower the chamce of breaking a very expensive phone those tags dont work on the play as far as I know but when they come out they better come in a pack of 10 for under 40 bucks or its a waste of money

If there was a perfect product to hook up a play to a tv i would be excited.

Hi All,
I receveid this information from Dreamchip, company responsible for the development of XBounds.
It seems that the dream of connecting XPeria Play to TV could be near...
"
Dear Joao,
sorry for the slow reply. xBounds is not available for end-users yet, as it is not
an app that can easily be installed on the phone.
We are talking to numerous cell phone makers and are confident that xBounds will
become available by Q3 this year.
We will let you know as soon the technology is available
Regards"
They require NFC, which the PLAY does not have. It's hardware and cannot be implemented.

Why would it require nfc isnt it a wifi connect

Not even close. Try putting a Wi-Fi router in a coin size shell.
The xBound hdmi does not use NFC why would it. I think people are getting 2 different products confused.
From the sound of their reply though I don't think we will see the hdmi accessory on the Xplay .

I have searched forum and havent found anything useful yet, so i made new thread on this. I used igo for some time and i am not very satisfied. Can anyone recommend something else? (preferably write some specs about it, and i dont care about the price as long as it is good)
Im using navigon. Its not about the software its just the UI that is defferent. u have to check the maps.Naviteq are good .Navigon is the best for meh atleast for bulgaria
Yeah i am from Serbia, so if maps for Bulgaria are fine they should be also for me

looking for the best offline navi app for my note 2. i'm willing to pay for one license but i would like to use them across 2 devices at the same time.
i was looking into sygic but seems that the software is only good for one device at a time. is that still true? this is for north america.
any other suggestions ?

I use to drive a ambulance, this worked great for a year for me, very accurate, no need for data plan. the best one to use is route 66, there is a yearly fee. They have like a 15 day trial, download map and try it, the offline navigation is the yearly fee... I tried them all, and this was the best one if you have no data plan.....it take a little to get use to entering address, but is highly accurate...nevrmind the re iews, the dont know jack...jack.
Oh, route 66 is only good for one device license tho, still best offline navigation bar none.

thanks. yea i saw the bad reviews mostly from countries outside usa, have you tried sygic?
Have you try TomTom Nav? A little pricey, works great on tabs and on the phone as well. Beware for the data storage on your phone. I have US & CAN TomTom on my tabs and phones is about 2.3GB.
