Xtremeguard screen protectors 70% off with code - Code still works! - LG Nitro HD

I just ordered two screen protectors for my Nexus 7 and thought I should share this deal with you all.
I found it here: http://goo.gl/9Yx6U
www.xtremeguard.com is still having a Black Friday sale with promo code "70off1", and use "80OFF3" if you need three for the discounted price of two...
I don't know anything about this brand but a screen protector for $1.50 and FREE shipping is a good deal. The code appears to work for everything in the store

I have used XtremeGaurds back since when I was rocking the T-Mobile G2 a few years ago. They are VERY comparable to Zagg Invisishields and are made of the same kind of "self healing" rubbery material. Do not clean these with alcohol and you'll be fine, use some soapy water if you are crazy about sanitation like me. Alcohol will react with coating and create a cloudy streak if you press down against the screen with an alcohol wipe and get it to react.
I've always used 80off3 code, they've had that code for at least a year now. Get these instead of Zaggs, they are just as good.

Do they have some screen protectors for the nitro hd. Are they really nesicary because this phone has gorrilla glass.

What screen protector is everyone using. I have boxwave on my HTC amaze but wondering how it is on the xoom
Zagg here.
I'm using the Zagg invisishield for the Zoom screen. The thing is awesome. Keeps fingerprints to a minimum, cleans up really nice and it's super durable.
I keep looking for the Zagg in store and no such luck, its the only time I remember to look for it. I keep finding the family edition xoom covers now
Go right to the Zagg site HERE.
Iam using Zagg Full Body, great protection screen and low finger print...
I have just one issue with back part protection... the film is freeing and it does not adhere more in the rounded off part.
I just contact Zagg, register my product and Zagg send me a new product.
Great deal.
I am ordering Exim screen protector from ebay. I used this brand for my previous phone and it works great.
I'm using the ScreenGuardz HD from Bodyguardz.com. It's great. It gets rid of some of the glare on the screen and actually feels nicer to touch than the bare glass. I played with it at CES and liked it so much that I ordered it when I got home. It's also a static cling shield so it can be re-positioned if necessary.
Just ordered Zagg screen protector.
I fitted one to my HTC desire over a year ago. Still as new, expensive but very good.
I was using a Zagg screen protector for the first 3 months, but about 2 months ago I took it off and haven't looked back. The XOOM screen is very durable as it is made with Corning Gorilla Glass™ (I know there is allot of speculation about that) but if you go to the Corning website the XOOM is listed in the Motorola section of "Show all devices"
I have an "Acase" leather Folio case to protect it when I'm on the go, as for regular use I just bought some "DustOff" brand LCD screen cleaning spray and a I find that a cheap $3.00 micro fiber cloth from the automotive section at Walmart works best and leaves absolutely no micro-scratches or lint on my screen.
Just be sure to take care of your screen by cleaning your it at least once a day. Having the natural feeling and look of the screen the way it was intended is well worth the effort....of course that is just my observation, there is absolutely nothing wrong with using a screen protector to protect your investment, but honestly I haven't had a screen protector on in over 2 months and my screen is still absolutely as perfect as the day I bought the device.
Anyway just my 2 cents lol

I agree, I don't believe a screen protector is necessary!

good screen protectors for the glide

does any good screen protectors for the glide? theirs a lot of sticker ones but i looking for a one that help reduce scratches as well.
I heard LiquidArmor is pretty good. The company I work for sells it. However, I am not one who is pro screen protector. Use the gorilla glass your momma gave you

i was thinking about a protector cos i'm living outside of the NA region and afraid that it will be hard to replace/fix the screen itself.
I use this, Xtreme_guard ones.
I'm very satisfied and they're very cheap.

Gorilla Glass isn't exactly scratch-proof... While it's a fair bit better than typical glass, I live in the desert, and sand sure does a number on it.
I already bought a few screen protectors, but failed everytime to get it on in a decent way.
This "lip" at the sides of the screen keep messing it up >:
Have you guys some tips to get it on easier?

I use this : http://cgi.ebay.fr/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=221009080994
Zagg Invisible Shield is a very good protection against scratches and dirt. One was gifted with my phone at first, and I ruined it in my pocket with my keys. I really think it saved my phone this day. So I bought this again but it was hard to found. Happily, it is easy to set with the provided fluid. ^^;
Now I have the full zagg protection (screen and back) with a Speck case.
didnt understand how it can help protect the back panel,
i bought the extrme_guard one, hope it will be good. didnt received it yet.
quick re-cap on extreme guard screen protector, it does it jobs pretty well, but the screen protector itself get scratch rely easy. but as i said the scratch don't pass to the screen it self, so it 75 percent good. its pretty cheap via eBay. cost like 5 bucks with delivery and got a replacement straight after the first one scratched while appalling (maybe its my fault for not doing it right).
so take it with a grain of salt.
maybe next one i will buy will be zaggs one.
ok, the extreme guard is not good, it peels off after few days. i will go with the zagg one hope it will be better.
Just a heads up, xtremeguard has 70% off the entire site and shipping is free. Use the coupon code 70OFF
You can get a screen protector for the Glide for $1.50. Considering most screen protectors are this cheap anyway, might as well invest in a quality one.
It's a pretty good deal for those of you that are into wet applications
http://www.xtremeguard.com/Samsung-...de_screen_protector.htm?CartID=1#.UPSet2cwhPc
The full body protection is a much better deal, but sadly there isn't one for the Glide
I'm with xtremeguard ones. They last for about 6-7 months but i think they're totally worth the price and the quality is great. I've bought three: the first one has gone a few months ago due to accidental rubbing that slowly pulled up the corners and the whole protector; the second is the one i have on. It's great. The third is in my drawer just in case of need.
It would be a very good choice (especially consdering the price).
I bought three cheap screen protectors for US$3 on Amazon and overall I'm happy with them. I don't have experience with the more expensive ones, though.

XtremeGuard screen protector Question

Hi I was wondering if anyone has used this screen protector, or has ever bought one from this company? It has a 5 star rating.

Its 3 bucks. With free shipping. Buy it and let us know!
A screen protector is a screen protector really... I tend to prefer the cheap chinese ones personally.
I have 5 Gnex for the family - maguro & toroplus. In my comparison, this is the best wet install compared to XO & Skinomi. I went through several copies of each brand. At the bottom of the pile, XO has a bad tint that wouldn't go away after a week and had micro-blur effects and the worst orange peel. Skinomi is better, but it soft and gets dinged easily - some would heal, some wouldn't.
XtremeGuard is the stiffest, has the least orange peel, so its look-n-feel is closest to dry install film. It dries quickest, and heals the best out of the three.
The bad thing: it has a slighly worse cut than Skinomi and leaves the area above the speaker and front camera exposed, while covering the proximity and light sensor. The cut is exactly as wide and as tall as the screen size, so this leaves you no room for mistake and you have to be very careful not to stretch it (as in, when pushing out the bubbles) or it may hang over the edge very slightly. Did I say it dries quicker than the other film? That also means you have to align and install it quicker, meaning you have reposition it quickly if needed, otherwise it may get sticky and if you peel it, it would stretch.
For me, the negatives were negligible considering the resulting look and feel. I would prefer Realook (have it on the Nexus 7) but they don't make one for the Gnex because of the curved glass.
The price on Amazon is good deal. Xtremeguard.com has promo code often too if you look up their G+, Twitter or FB accounts.
On the protectors, I rub a very tiny drop of Goo Gone (not GooManager!) all over the screen to make the surface slicker. Goo Gone is non-toxic so it's relatively safe considering it will get on your fingertips whenever you use your phone. Don't use Goof Off.
YMMV - Others have had different experience with the competitor brands I listed above, but this is my experience and I have gone through multiples of each.
Edit: customer support is excellent from Skinomi and Xtremeguard. They sent replacement, no questions asked. XO was the only who demanded that I returned the product in order to get a refund (but I couldn't be bothered sending back a piece of plastic sheet that was useless and has no resell value).
i have the xtremeguard on my gnex its really good .. the only i didnt like was the packaging it came in very cheap
Well, if that's what it takes to get screen protectors for a dollar fifty.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus
I ordered one, it arrived via envelope in the mail. I've installed several wet screen protectors before, but this one may be my worst install unfortunately. I accidentally got some lint stuck in a few places.
But the main reason I post is because I'm somewhat disappointed with it. After a day, rather than any cloudyness disappearing like other screen protectors, several small to largish bubbles formed under the screen. I'm remaining hopeful that they go away, but it doesn't look promising.
Other than that, good texture and stiffness to it, not too orange peel textured, fingerprints maybe show a bit too much but it's not bad. Especially for 3$.
I think my favorite is still XO skins.

I have Xtreme Guard on my Gnex now and I thought it was pretty easy to install and the cloudiness w give in a day. I ordered from their site with a code and got 3 for like $4.

I have a full body one installed from the site for 4 dollars. The curved edges were hard to install but it worked okay. The back install is kinda bubbled because of the grid like material. During the installation I got the solution in the volume rocker and the top doesn't work sometimes. And when the shield gets scratched, it stays dented in and doesn't heal. The orange peel isn't bad but white is kinda distorted from lines. Defintitely chePo but I guess it gets the job done. The volume rocker bothers me though as I was extremely careful and I was almost certain no water got in there. Anyways to order one try using the 70off code to see if it still works on their website

Don't waste money on...

Expensive glass screen protectors like glassTr or whatever else. I got one of the 8$ tempered glass screen protectors off eBay and. Have been rocking it about a month now. Thing looks beautiful and is tempered and oleophobic or whatever it's called. Went on perfect the first time and I love the feel if the glass. Just like the original screen. Have had zero issues with touch sensitivity or anything

I agree. Spent $5.00 from ebay and about 3 weeks shipping from China. I even purchased another one just case .
Can you post some ebay links?
John.
I'm sure these glass protectors look good initially, but what I'd be interested in seeing is how they hold up long term after several months. My understanding is some of the cheaper glass protectors have issues lifting at the edges due to poorly made adhesive. I have an iLoome incoming and I'm worried even it will have lifting issues.
This seems to be the cheapest seller currently. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Perfect-Qua...l_Phone_Screen_Protectors&hash=item51b23a2b92

I actually had a spigen glass screen protector before , removed it due to bad installation and bought a 8$ one . Found to be exactly the same. no issues what so ever.
Spigen and mime or w.e they are , are all ripoffs. just buy a aftermarket one. They also replace it for free if its not delivered to you in pristine condition.

Much sure you are applying in a relatively dust free area. Bubbles that won't come out are usually dust getting stuck between the screen and the protector. The glass protectors are less likely to get bubbles from non dust issues. I bought a MIME and while expensive at 25 bucks, it came with a tack sheet that removes any dust that you might not see.
If the cheap glass protectors work for you, great. 25 bucks is not a lot to spend on a 600+ phone in my opinion.

That is not a glass screen protector. I have had them. They are made of plastic. If you can get them on without bubbles, they work great but there is a stickiness to them that some like, I do not, so I wanted a real glass protector.

I like the water trick. Clean it up real good with the provided cleaning cloth and make sure its 100% dry. Then mist the screen with a spray bottle and apply the screen protector. Use the card to work out bubbles. Works every time.

I agree to a point. If even the smallest dust particle gets on the screen after cleaning it, you will get a bubble that is difficult, if not impossible, to remove. It is hard to have a "dust free" environement in a home.
The nice thing is I have wrecked a few of the plastic film protectors and the companies always just sent a new one.
I have had probably 20 devices over the past 2 years so I think I have tried about every brand of protector on the market
The glass protectors are the best for me. They feel like using the naked device. The plastic protectors always have a "sticky" feel to them and none lasted more than a few months before having issues with edge peel, discoloring, etc.
I had a Muvit Screen Guard for about 8 euro's.
It included two of these large protectors fitting screens up to 6.8" and you have to cut out to the right size yourself. They worked splendid for me. I sent in my HTC One for repair and the repair people scratched the screen, or rather the protector. Not a single thing on the real glass though so mission accomplished! And the scratches on the protector were pretty deep, so I agree. A cheap protector is just as good at protecting against reasonable damage done by keys or other sharp edges in say, your pocket or purse.
Now I'm using the screen protector the repair center included when sending my device back home.

A few people has posted to turn the hot water on with the shower running. Let it get steamy in there and it will take the dust out of the air. Then put your screen protector on in the bathroom and the dust element should be eliminated.

I 'wasted' my money on a GlassTr screen protector for my One. Was a little suspicious of the Ebay ones - probably wrongly so. It was I think very expensive but has fitted well and thus far working well. I'll never go back to those plastic 'things' again. Managed to get one spec of dust trapped under but other than that it's crystal clear, very smooth to the touch and phone just as responsive to the touch. Too early to comment on how it's wearing but looks good so far.
I got one of the cheapie eBay ones. I've had it about two months and haven't had any issues, save one... The glass doesn't completely cover the screen. You would think it would cover the entire black area on the face, but mine was cut about 1mm too short! Since it does cover the entire visual area, I decided it didn't bother me enough to go through the process of replacing it.
I used the hinge method, and did not have any issues with bubbles or dust on the screen.

Normally the saying goes, you get what you pay for. True for many things, however there are always exceptions. Going to try one of these! Thanks
I took the advice every one has suggested to fit screen protector tape down one side as hinge in bathroom with hot water running washed hands cleaned phone and screen even cleaned screen protector before removing plastic and it went on like a dream. Bought my screen protector from empire but can't recommend them due to carry on getting sent a protector packaged in thinner cardboard than a cereal pack so received it smashed then they sent me another in better packaging but doesn't say empire anywhere so not sure if it's there's but it works and iam happy although mine doesn't fully cover black area it's out about 2 to 3 mill but doesn't bother me .

Yeah I Agree
I've got the iloome, it's been on two months now and I've not had one problem.
I got a glass protector from ebay and I have a huge bubble in the lower left hand corner. Do those go away or should I reapply?
You could just buy tech amor screen savers from amazon, free replacements for life. I requested a new set of 3 and I got it for free, didn't pay postage or anything. Basically free screens for a while.

Expensive Plastic or Cheap Glass screen protector?

I am trying to decide between what screen protector should i buy. As my budget is very limited, i have to take this matter very seriously. I brought a pack of 5 screen protectors a while ago for my nexus 5, for just 2.50 euros.
They did their job well, clarity of them was not the best but usable, they protected the screen from scratches, though installation of them on my screen was pain in the ass. I used only 2 from the pack of 5 because the other 3 were wasted in the installation process. Huge bubbles underneath that were impossible to push out afterwards, thus making the screen unusable.
Next time i sent the same pack again for the same price, but the seller sent me completely different screen protectors, that were impossible to see through and had no glue at all how to stick them on screen. Basically ripoff. Still have them, if someone wants a pic just ask.
So now i am using a screen protector that came with Spigen case for more than month, might be even 2 months, and the screen protector is just littered with scratches, so i need a replacement fast. As i don't want to get ripped off by another cheating seller, i decided to buy one or two glass protectors. I found this one LINK
Is that one good for a glass protector?
As far as i looked, the plastic screen protector price ranges from less than 1 euro to 5 or so euros. But glass protector price ranges from 5 euros to even up to 50 euros. So should i buy expensive plastic or cheap glass?
Also, is installation more reliable for glass protectors? I don't want to wait for 3 weeks for one screen protector, and in the end have to struggle with installation, possibly wasting the money and time.
And if anybody knows, will eBay ship faster from England to Eastern Europe, than from China to Eastern Europe?
This is what I have:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Orzly®-Temp...328881&sr=1-3&keywords=nexus+5+tempered+glass
I bought one when it first came out, it went on very easily with no bubbles and still looks as new. I'll never use a plastic screen protector again.
Hope this helps.

Wow 11$ for a screen protector. How long is shipping ?
Ok thanks for your replies , i just brought 2 of these LINK
And shipping time from Great Britain to Eastern Europe is around 10 days, at-least it says so in eBay, if anybody wants to know.
I will most likely post how it went and everything about it as soon as it comes.
If you want you can keep discussing screen protectors here.
I just canceled the purchase because it for some reason needs some kind of soap solution for installation. I don't want to mess my phone with soap and water. I will look at the links you sent and i will most likely purchase one of those or both, until i get my money back i cant yet tell anything
