HELP,
I broke my phone(nexus 5) so i'm currently borrowing a GIO. I know how to flash roms and root devices but i never did it with a gio.
so now i tried to install CWM before i rooted my phone. aaaand now i cant come in to recovery mode. Download mode is working and the phone can boot just fine. I asked a friend who said that I should flash stock rom. Where can I find that. because every downloadlink I find is dead.

You Don't need to flash stock ROM, JUST DOWNLOAD AN ODIN FLASHABLE RECOVERY AND FLASH IT VIA ODIN.
I've been trying to figure this out but every method that I have tried doesn't work at all really. Video tutorial or novice friendly guide? Someone help please? Would love to "androidify" this thing.
Hi! I had the same question but found no answer, until I tried by myself
Download kingroot apk from your tablet, install it and you get root.
Next follow the guide posted in this forum.
But here's the trick: you can't go back after you flash the old bootloader,
So reboot to recovery and push the zip to sdcard
And boom new ROM installed.
Don't worry if you reboot to stock, you get black screen but not a brick, get back yo fastboot, reflash and reboot to recovery
Hi good people! thanks in advance, I had a problem for about a month now where my phone (Note2) used to take about 15 min to boot, after trying many solutions, I read somewhere to delete ODEX files and after trying that in many ways I went to system/apps and deleted ODEX files there with Root Explorer which turned out to be a biiig mistake, it just stucks at the Samsung Logo for a few seconds before it starts again (only the logo, the phone doesn't reboot) and it stays like that forever. I'm in hell right now, I have some files I don't want to lose so I was afraid of factory reseting but after I was told that it won't delete them, I did but that didn't solve anything, I can't access download mode, I can access recovery mode however (not custom) I tried flashing a custom ROM but I just get "E: failed to verify whole-file signature" please help ! I'll be really thankful ! thank you !
EDIT: I hope this helps someone else, after trying everything, what eventually worked for me was the USB Jig, I was able to enter download mode and install a new ROM from there. good luck!

If you know your rom load, flash it back on to your device without any wiping. It should load the needed files back on your system. Though any system mods will be lost.
The other option is to go into aroma from your custom recovery and grab your needed files over to your extsd card

Thanks for the reply, the problem is that I don't have a custom recovery and when I try to flash a new ROM it tells me "E: failed to verify whole-file signature" ...
Well the only option is download mode and try loading the same factory rom you have on your device. Or a newer version, if available. Some different regions have updates.
Can't use stock recovery to flash a custom rom.
You have access to a USB jig? What happens when you try to enter download mode?

Remove the battery for a few seconds, replace the battery and quickly hold down the home and volume down button.

any help guys ?? please! I've looked everywhere still can't find a solution
Without being able to enter download mode means you can't flash a stock rom via Odin. Maybe order a jig from eBay or try yo make your own. Either way, a jig us a good tool to have when flashing Samsung phones.

Is there any other way to fix this problem without a USB jig. ADB or something
Not sure that adb will allow you to side load a rom.

oh okay, Is installing a new ROM the only solution there is ? if it is, is the USB jig the only way to flash it? thank you !
Installation of a custom ROM but that requires a custom recovery. The easiest method would be to flash TWRP with Odin or possibly TWRP via flashify. Problem is that the phone can't enter download mode or boot the ROM.
I recommend buying or making a USB jig. If you don't want to wait, you could take the phone to a repair shop and have it flashed via jtag.

Hi, I rooted my lg g3 d855 with stock lollipop 5.0 and and tried to install twrp recovery mode but it failed, i didnt read properlyand since my software version is V21a stock it cant work.
Anyways now i cant get to recovery or download mode at all i just get a black screen. Someone posted same problem here but no solution https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/help/lg-g3-rooted-install-twrp-t3065017
Can someone help me get the stock recovery?
first u have done sth wrong. You can run TWRP try to install this simple recovery installer-- https://ulozto.sk/!lisJevpDG1oS/recovery-d722l-apk
just hit the install button but make sure your recovery is installed !! because entering is lil bit tricky
so install it. now power off your device and press the volume DOWN button and power button at same time now wait untill LG logo appear relase them and press again. Now it will ask you if you want to erase all your data click YES and it will enter the recovery but if you have not installed recovery or the recovery installer showed you errors this will erase all your data so be careful
and thats it!

You can flash a KDZ with "Normal Flash" this will save your data. OR you can follow this and get a fully working TWRP.

Do you get your phone seen by your computer? (Hidden devices)
Hi, thx all I will try the solutions.
My phone works perfectly fine and the computer can detect it its just I cant get into Recovery mode because its corrupted.
Hello guys,
I have a big problem. Today i wanted to unlock my bootloader, flash a custom recovery and root my phone. Unlock the bootloader wasnt a problem. Then i boot the recovery.img from adb to install it from there, but when i wanted to install it first i selected the wrong option(boot not recovery). So after a restart i just came always back in the recovery. So i searched a boot image to install it with twrp. I think i found and installed the wrong one because now i only see the animation of lg, thats all. Please can anyone help me?
When u enter download or fastboot mode then u van flash an kdz or a TWRP.img
.

Well first at all you didn't make any mistake by installing recovery.img as boot. Couse after that you had to install recovery.img using TWRP at first boot. There are tutorials how to that properly, dunno why u dont read carefully before doing something like that.
Now i think the easiest solution would be just reinstall stock rom using LGUP tool. Ofcourse you can still try use adb tool. What you need to do is to find proper boot file for you model and android version and put it to adb folder and flash it same as recovery.
You can easy get into download mode by taking battery out, connecting phone using usb with computer and then while holding volume up button put back battery.
Tutotial how to enter fastboot from download mode: https://forum.xda-developers.com/g4/general/guide-how-to-enter-fastboot-mode-t3239537
I would recommend to start using google. As i spent like 5 mins to gather all info for that.
