Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc bricked - Xperia Arc Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey guys!
I just installed new ROM to my Xperia Arc. I installed Xperia Ice Pureness from that site: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1788701
When I reboot my device it stuck just on SONY logo. If I try to connect my phone to the computer, it doesn't recognize my phone .I can't get to the ClockWork mode and nothing at all. I really need help because I use my phone for working and develpoing but now is bricked .
I know there are many discussions about that on forum but I didn't find anything useful here because my computer doesn't recognize my phone like in other cases.

Reflash a stock ics Rom and try again remember to wipe data, system and cache and dalvik cache before you flash custom Rom
Sent from Xperia Arc S

Flash a stock .ftf in flashtool. Re-root and refresh rom
Sent from my lt18 using xda premium

Have you tried installing a custom kernel? You should try ArcKnight kernel. It works good with stock based roms.

Just reflash ftf via flashtool and the soft brick will be gone.

[HELP]Xperia Arc LT15i stuck on SONY after installing Xperia Ice Bean

Hi
After attempting to install Xperia Ice Bean on my Xperia LT15i awhile ago then reboot the phone, I am now astuck on SONY Logo. Itried giving n 10 minutes to wait for the tools to be installed however, I still got this SONY logo. I performed full reboot by removing the battery and still getting the same.
Now, I'm trying to revive my phone by installing the stock ROM of ICS 4.0.4.
Can somebody help me on this. I'm so nervous already that I might not be able to revive my phone.
Please I need your help guys ASAP.
BTW I'm using LT15i running on Rooted ICS 4.0.4 with the updated Busybox installed.
Managed to install CWM.
Here's what happened.
I have to tell it honestly. I didn't follow the instructions on how to correctly install the ROM. I just mount the sdcard and install the zip without even wiping the data and doing factory reset. I know its wrong but I still did it.
Can somebody assist me on this.
Thanks, I can donate some of my cash to your build if I revive my phone back.
Assuming you can get into flash mode, just reflash stock Rom available in the general arc section, use flashtools for this.
After you get stock back you are at the point of decision, do you stick with current set up or try custom roms, remember custom roms sometimes need custom kernels as well so you will need unlocked bootloader to send them via fastboot.
I have found some custom roms don't work I too get blank screens etc, but have installed the pureness build and it runs well

Sony xperia s bricked by FXP kernel

As the title says, the FXP kernel bricked my phone and I can't install another ftf file over it because everytime i try to do it via flashtool it gets unplugged form fastboot in flashtool while it's still in that fastboot. I think that's because I can't acces the cache anymore.
Can somebody help !! :crying:

Just a suggestion, but maybe u should post how u fixes ur phone so other people can search on it if they have the same symptoms.

Please post fix.

I solved it by doing:
1. Factory reset
2. Then check if you can mount system and cache. If you cannot then wipe /data
3. Install another kernel and then install fxp kernel again (I know this sounds crazy)
4. After installing fxp kernel again install fxp rom
Then the phone should be running again

[Q] Bootloop after Custom ROM Flash with CWM

Hello XDA Community,
im stuck with my Problem so far and after reading trough several Threads and excesiv use of google I decidet to make a new Thread. I flashed the Xperia Ultimate HD ROM on my Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc and forgot to wipe the Dalvik Cache before as well I did not uncheck the mark at "Reboot your Mobile" in the Aroma Installer.
Now I got a Bootloop, and cannot access CWM and I tried 3 times to flash over Flashtool and it didn't help at all.
This is behind my understanding of the material, so I would be really happy if someone could help me.
Ps. I also have no Unlocked Bootloader
Did flashing stock ics work? Using flashtool? Personally i tried 6 ROMS including Xperia Ultimate HD...

You mean before the Bootloop or after? Before is used stock ics with root. After Bootloop i tried to flash stock GB and stock Ics with flashtool and Sony Update Center.

[Q] Bricked and not responding to Reboot Request

Xperia arc s: rooted and unlocked
Symptoms are as follows:
Attempted to install Cyanogen mod through using X-parts, however on initial reboot it simply got stuck at the Sony screen.
Cant get it to respond to any buttons or combinations there of and the PC wont detect it either. So its just sitting steady at Sony.
Are there any options or is this the end of the line?
Thanks,:crying:
Download Fusion kernel and flash with fastboot (google how to install custom kernels on arc s) then boot to CWM wipe all and install CM10 again. For CM9 download Lupus ICS CM9 based kernel and do the same.
Unhappy [Q] Bricked and not responding to Reboot Request
I agree with pypcier But on your post you say rooted & Unlocked when you say unlocked do you mean your bootloader is unlocked or your sim is unlocked? Also X-parts is really for locked bootloaders because it is installed to your system (where your rom is) when you install other firmware and format/wipe system you erase X-Parts so have to install again. That's why you are better of with a custom kernel with cwm built in :good: obviously you need unlocked bootloader for this
You say your phone is stuck at Sony logo so you forgot to flash the kernel. Just flash it through flashtool or fastboot

He tried to install CM10 through CWM (which was installed from x-parts), rebooted the phone and it was stuck on Sony. Obviously he didn't flash the kernel, no...?

[Q] bricked xperia arc s?

hi everyone,
i have a sony xperia arc s lt18i with locked bootloader.
i rooted it through eRoot Software and installed CWM through X-Parts from Market.
Afterwards i copied 2 different Custom Roms on SD-Card and tried to install any of both after i did a full wipe/cache/davlik.
Both Custom Roms couldn't be installed through CWM - there was an error 7 after "installing package..." (which mean i might have used the wrong Custom Roms).
Now my phone is stuck at SONY logo. I could not find a way to enter recovery mode through hardware buttons.
Sony PC Companion is not able to detect the phone connected via USB to PC.
What can i do next? Any help is appreciated!
