But on the page itself it says it is, have you tried them?
I don't see how i is compatible with both. The S2 has 4 connecters where as the S1 has 3. I think this one is just for S2. There is on ebay however this one someone has on here I want to check out that is a 2430mah lithium polymer battery and should most likely be same profile as our 1500 mah ones. We could both be testers and find this out to let all our fellow cappy owners know the awesomeness XD. Ebay also has 1800mah batteries for us that are the same size. you can get 3 at once plus an external charger for like $15
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/GOLD-2430...is before? Any reviews? Is this the Slim one?

As far as I was just informed supposedly the Epic S2 has the same connection as S1. It's worth looking into now

Galaxy Nexus or Galaxy S 3 ?

Hello everybody !
I'm so tired of my I9003 that i've decided to change it for a way better smartphone, but the choice is not very simple...
The Galaxy Nexus has a long term support from Google, but on the other hand the S3 has a quad-core processor, but i'm not sure that it's really useful with the apps currently available, so my question is : which one is the best for someone who plays games on his phone and sometimes watches movies ?
The S3 is really expensive and the Galaxy Nexus can be found at 300€ so as long as I'm not rich... I'd prefer to go for the Nexus.
Please help me make this choice, you know these devices better than I do.
Thank you
It depends.
If you and to live on the bleeding edge, and many updates, then go for the Gnex
If you need more power, but don't want fast updates, then go for the SGSIII
But its kinda dumb to create a "wich phone should I buy" thread in here, because most of the people here are biased towards the galaxy nexus. (Same with the SGSIII section)
Dude....... Google is your friend. There are a dozen threads exactly like this. I'd say go for the nexus, as will most everyone here as it is the NEXUS forum. Go ask the same question on the gs3 forum and they will tell you to go with that...... SMH

Nexus.
You get long-term support for all of your ROM/hacking/techie fun. It's still an unbelievable phone. And it's not as expensive.
if you care about specs, then go for galaxy s3 or htc one x ( both have some pros and cons)
if you just need a phone to customize and have fun with roms etc then go for galaxy nexus.
simple,
now hit the thanks button.
As we have seen there's no new Nexus device, only a new Nexus 7 tablet what means that the Galaxy nexus still is android's top device.
But when you go for specs, you should choose the s3.
As i can say, i am currently running Android 4.1 on my Galaxy nexus and it's awesomly smooth. Beautiful transitions and animations on a beautiful screen. I love my Galaxy Nexus.
Id go for a galaxy nexus if you are planning to keep your phone for a long time
I had a s1 and a s2 when the s2 came out most of the best developers switched from the s1 to the s2 and now the same is happening to the sgs2 i have the both the galaxy nexus and the s2 and the only thing keeping me from selling my s2 is because of the fm radio that the galaxy nexus dont have
If you are poor like me go for a galaxy nexus

No one will know about the next nexus.... but I've heard a lot about the note two and it seems like an amazing phone.
Fantasy phones usually have better specs, and I love the pure Android experience the Nexus line provides.

Small galaxy s3?

My uncle was over today so I could root and install cm10 in his vibrant... after using it a little I was actually enjoying the smaller screen size to the point where I feel I want to sell my s3 and buy something else with a small screen... any suggestions of a comparable model as the s3 but similar screen size as the vibrant?

IPhone 5 comes to mind
uuh.... Galaxy S3 Mini when it's released? Though it basically seems to be just an upgraded Vibrant, using it's 4" 400x800 screen, which seems like a waste for a quad-core Exynos. Then again, you'd have to hope that it actually comes out here in the US.
Other than that.... i can't think of anything that would really compare that well to the S3.

He said a smaller phone. Not a smaller, locked down, idiot proofed phone.
There's not really any hi end phones with small screens anymore in the android world. I'm sure if he used the s3 day in and day out he'd get used to the size. I went from a nexus s (4 inch) to the 4.8 s3 and it took a bit getting used to. The good thing is however due to the phone increased was dth and height it can pack more into a slimmer package, also a huge battery.

If you want something much smaller on the same tier as the S3, you might be searching for a while. I'd say the best phone smaller than the S3 is the Nexus 4.
Stock ICS on my S3

Yea..... that probably would be about it.... and you'd end up losing not only the ability to swap batteries and use MicroSDHC cards, but also no LTE.
there's always the Motorola Droid RAZR M's 4.3" screen. but i don't know anything else about the phone.
How about an S3 Mini? : http://www.mobilenapps.com/articles/5041/20121111/samsung-galaxy-s3-mini-now-available-uk.htm
EDIT: Someone already mentioned this, just noticed. Doh!
Aside from the iPhone 5, I don't think you'll find a phone that can come anywhere near the s3 in terms of performance that has a significantly different size factor.
Galaxy S3 AOKP 4.1.2 JB.
and now there's a new small Galaxy contender, the Galaxy Axion (wtf?)

[Q] Gnexus or SII?

Hi guys,
I sold my S2 because the screen was broken but now I'm thinking about buy another one.
My doubt is, should I buy another SII or instead go for the Gnexus?
SII - > 250€
Galaxy Nexus -> 275€
Both are new phones and I have the chance to buy for a great price.
I know many of you will say "go for Nexus 4" but it isn't coming to Portugal soon and I need a phone ASAP (nexus 4 is out of stock 4 life).
I know pros and cons of both, but they look very similar and my kind of use fits the both.
My question is, with these prices, which phone would you go?

In my opinion you should try Galaxy Nexus, like I did. I had S2 over 13 month. In short words:
Design = GNexus
Screen = Gnexus
Android = Gnexus
Louder speaker = S2
Funny fact: in Poland new Gnexus is cheaper than S2
And what about:
GPU - S2
Radio - S2
Camera - S2
Tricky decision!

S2 will not be supported a lot anymore but if you get galaxy nexus, you'll at least get the next Android. Also the development on this phone is just crazy. In my opinion, galaxy nexus is a much better phone for 25 extra pound.

Not a decision at all. 1280x720 display is infinitely better than 800 x 480.
That's true, S2 has just received its first leak of JB 2 weeks ago, I believe you guys already have it for months! And if you have a custom rom installed, and another official version comes out, you directly install it over the custom rom? Or the developer updates it to the last official version?
But development is very good in S2 foruns, very good dev's there.
And what about the size, it feels good in hand? For sms, I use T9, is easy to write?
I believe I'm getting a Nexus.

Good choice. You won't be sorry. Feels great in the hand, there are only a few things that feel better
Why not?

I had an S II for about 12 months then sold it and bought a GNex. My main reason was "updates" as I could not bear anymore sticking to ICS while JB and whatever comes after is probably going for GNex although both of them have the same price.
I think the S II has better hardware in CPU and GPU, but I really did not find much of a difference practically as GNex is really smooth on JB. I did not use it on ICS but seems it was not as smooth as it is now on JB, so probably it does not matter having faster CPU and GPU as long as you are able to run the latest android which is always more optimized than the previous versions thus running smoothly
I really hated TouchWiz and the Vanilla stock experience is really enjoyable for me!
Loud speakers are not an issue for me especially after installing a mod which requires root of course and can be found in the Themes and Apps section.
So I doubt you will really regret switching to a GNex especially after using the S II so a change should be welcomed
Good Luck
Btw, I saw that gnexus doesn't has toggles, is there a option to enable it? Or it exists in custom roms?
Custom ROMs
Galaxy nexus has curved glass. These wins everything.

What does it mean? Why is it so good?
Gnex for sure. The development is much better, and the choices of custom roms is overwhelming. Definitely worth the extra money.

wowowow hold on a sec. I'm portuguese too, where did you get those prices? I have only seen 329 for the GNex and 400 for the SII.
i had the tmobile s2 which had the s3 cpu and that phone was laggy as hell and the phone looked like crap with the resolution it has. every icon looks so damn big and ugly. playing games on it even looked like crap. the only thing the s2 has over the gnex is the micro sd card slot. i really wish i had one on my gnex. lol plus you know you will always get the last android updates with the galaxy nexus and it runs pretty damn smooth for an older phone with old hardware in it.

ok (escreve em inglês neste forum).
IMO, the Nexus is really better. I will get it in Christmas probably.
Why the Nexus wins:
-Started to be sold later and will get all the Google updates (and custom ROMs more than the SII);
-Curved screen, IMO this is an awesome design (never saw any phone like this);
-Higher resolution and screen;
-IMO the GPU is better;
Why the SII wins:
-Super AMOLED Plus screen;
-Gorilla Glass (altough reviews say that it doesn't make a difference on the Nexus;
-SD Card support;
-Camera;
Other notes:
-Same processor;
-Both have NFC;
-Nexus battery is a bit bigger, but almost the same.
The support for the Nexus should be all you need.
