I am running CM10 and just flashed Google Wallet. I don't believe I need to change anything like values or anything. But I try to add cards and it fails. Do I need to edit values or something?
Under setting in Google wallet it has the secure element isn't present, But I've never had Google Wallet installed
Think this is what you are looking for.

are you trying to install the .apk for google wallet?
I started getting that message a few days after I updated to the latest G Wallet. When I first opened it, it asked for root access and I allowed it. A few days later, I started getting the message and the app quit working. I uninstalled, reinstalled, restored from titanium, etc. Nothing worked. Finally, I tried installing and using a different Google account. The message hasn't been back and it works when i use it. It seems that if you allow root access, google takes note of your account and the fact that you are using a rooted device, but if you use a different account it'll work. Not the ideal workaround, especially if you associate your bank cards with your google account, but its working for me.
Look to pickup the nexus this weekend, i am look to rooted but use the stock. I would like know to know will i get the error unsupported device on the stock rom with G wallet
From what I'm reading it will work, only we are warned that there are no promises that it won't be hacked....

If you forgot to reset your Google Wallet before a flash don't panic you may still be ok. I did this the other day and when I loaded my wallet I got the insecure element but after following these steps I was ok:
1. Log on to my google wallet account from a desktop or laptop.
2. Clicked Disable Wallet App under the Devices section.
3. I then did a wipe and reflash a rom on my phone.
One that was completed I went back to the google wallet website and under devices you can click recovered, reactivate or found phone something like that don't remember exactly what it was.
I then reinstalled my google wallet app and today went to Petco and tested it out 3 different times with 3 different google wallet cards, successful each transaction (employee thought I was crazy though).
I would also like to thank ogdobber for giving the steps to install wallet. For anyone who has the issue the link to his thread is below and the steps above combined with his worked for my so might work for you.

I thought that once you get the "insecure element" error that something in the hardware physically changes, like the secure element fries or something like that? Does this really let you fix that error? :S

That's definitely good to hear. I installed miui over aokp and had the issue. But I believe Google knows that when people flash new updates it may cause the issue that's why they let you reset from the website now too.

Does anyone have Google Wallet working on this phone and could provide pointers ?
I tried editing my build.prop to the Nexus 4 settings, and clearing all data, but it still doesn't show up in the market. I tried side-loading a few different versions into /system/app, but could not get one to work.
Just a bump--anyone figure this out? My wife just got an OG, and I might get one too, but there seems to be virtually no development on this beast yet.

does anyone have the latest Google Wallet apk? I found R87 floating on the net, but when I install and launch, I am told that it needs to be upgraded. I am on Verizon and rooted. I have run this app in the past without very many issues, but haven't run it in over a month. Any help appreciated.

After receiving the message that my version v1.5-R87-v15 was out of date, I was directed to the play store where I learned what the new version was but couldn't access it because because of the Verizon blockage. I have succeeded in finding the new apk and restoring Google Wallet by installing v1.6 R96 v13; however, my first install failed to function.
here you go
I found if you change 2 build.prop entries you can download direct from play store then set them back.

They have to select paypass/paywave as the payment method, they probably don't know what you are doing and did not have the reader activated..

I'm at work right now. Will try to see which ones when I get time. I know the entries are ro.product.name and ro.product.device . can't remember what to change them to though. You change them to the galaxy nexus device it works on think it's gsm version.

Sorry for the delay my Wife was in the hospital for half the night she's feeling better now. Well here the build.prop settings I changed.
ro.product.device=toro change from toro to maguro
ro.product.name=mysid change from mysid to yakju
This worked for me although this thread has the newest wallet and used it on my latest ROM change. If you change ROM's make sure you go to settings and reset google wallet app before you leave old ROM. Some are saying it will break Wallet if you don't.

Hey guys, something that has popped up in my mind is whether or not the Google version of the S4 will support Google Wallet. If the variant is the same as the T-Mobile S4 SGH-M919 (rumor) and Google supports Wallet won't the device be officially supported? Just some thoughts.

I was thinking the same thing. However, Google may not "support" it for devices not running AOSP ROMs. Meaning, the apk will prolly just need a quick tweak to it to allow it to run on TouchWiz ROMs. Thats my gut feeling.

Good thought indeed.
I should suppose that the Google S4 will support Google Wallet. I can't imagine they'd have a better platform to push this service.
If the Google S4 is the T-Mobile variant, I can't imagine why we wouldn't be able to flash that ROM over our devices, with the inclusion of Google Wallet.
June 26 is the release date, Suppose we have to wait until then to find out.
It will be because it is not the carrier variant..the hardware is same as the the T-Mobile but it will have a different model number.
Google wallet works fine on the Nexus 4 and similarly it will work on Google edition S4. T-Mobile or any other useless carriers will have zero influence on the device. They can all go and f*** with their carrier variants.
Any updates on this? I want google wallet on my S4.

I've seen the tutorials and threads on getting it but they all require a custom ROM. Is there any way to do it with the stock ROM? I am rooted.

Wallet on CyanogenMod?
I switched to a GE ROM from Cyanogenmod just for Wallet and a more stable camera. Does anyone know how to get Wallet working on CM10.2? I'd like to go back to CM but I want Wallet to work.

What I did to get this working is I used the build.prop from the Nexus 4 to make Wallet believe it was a supported device. Build.prop can be found here.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1993208
Make sure to have wallet uninstalled, make a NANDROID, and backup your build.prop before you edit it and then change it using root explorer or root browser. Change the
ro.product.model to Nexus 4, the ro.product.brand to google, ro.product.name to occam, and the ro.product.device to mako. After that follow the directions starting from step 2 from this thread.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2282892
I tried changing it to sprint like the thread suggested but had no luck 3 times. Decided to try the Nexus 4 instead and worked the first time. Then download the latest Google Wallet app and you should be able to set up tap and pay. After following the second thread and installing Xposed and the Google Wallet patcher, either edit your build.prop back to tmobile or simply restore the backup you have. Make sure you set permission to rw - r - r. Reboot and enjoy using Google Wallet everywhere it's accepted
