Does anyone have Google Wallet working on this phone and could provide pointers ?
I tried editing my build.prop to the Nexus 4 settings, and clearing all data, but it still doesn't show up in the market. I tried side-loading a few different versions into /system/app, but could not get one to work.
Just a bump--anyone figure this out? My wife just got an OG, and I might get one too, but there seems to be virtually no development on this beast yet.

Im having issues with google wallet workin on my sprint galaxy nexus...it keeps saying its not certified for my country/device. Im in the usa and im using blackice rom with samarai kernel. It was working fine before i edited the build.prop to get s-voice working...any help? Thanks

You answered your own question- your build.prop edit broke it. At this point, you can have one or the other. Either you let Vlingo's servers think you have a SIII, which is currently unsupported for Wallet, or let Money Network know that you have a GN.

I don't think Wallet works pretty with a lot of root measures.
Ok....well does anyone know what the build.prop should say in order for wallet to work? I dont remember what it was before i changed it

What it looked like originally-
ro.product.model=Sprint Galaxy Nexus CDMA
ro.product.device=toroplus
Also you should have a build prop.bak file just rename the .bak to txt and replace file
Hope this helped
(Change...
ro.product.model=Galaxy Nexus
To...
ro.product.model=GT-I9300
Do the same with line ro.product.device
Save changes and exit app. Reboot device and enjoy.
EDIT: Its been reported that this may cause GWallet not to function!
Changed it back to what it was originally and its still not working...thinking of either reflashing this rom or going back to stock if i cant get it working

Have you tried resetting Google wallet from the settings menu in the app?
The app wont even open...ive tried force stopping it and clearing data and cache but neither worked...

"The secure element has stopped responding"
I've got cyanogen mod 10 nightly, and Google voice, Google wallet, among other apps have been crashing regularly. Sometimes 5 times per minute, even if I'm not using the app and am doing something else.
Google voice works when calling out, as I can select which phone number to call from, but I can't get into the app itself.
Google wallet launches, but when it asks me to link a Google account, it gives me the error above.
I tried searching for a solution but couldn't find one. Maybe because I'm on my phone. Could someone point me in the right direction? Or does this app not work with modded devices?
Thanks in advance!

the app definitely works on modded devices, so it's not that. you might find some answers in this thread. it's a huge thread, and i'm sure there are a lot of people with similar issues. the little bit in the OP talks about secure element issues, if you look through the more recent pages there, those would be more JB-related.

Holy ****. I hate navigating messes of threads like those. I'll check out out tonight when I have the search function available to me.
+ thanks
If anyone has had a similar problem and found a solution, I wouldn't mind you letting me know as well...

From what I've read, if you flash a new Rom while you have your Google account attached to Google wallet, it permanently disables the wallet from the phone?

Yes.
Will the next nexus have a longer screen?
Ever since I got my SIII, I've been having problems with the Play Store. Anytime I go to purchase a paid application, I get the error "Unable to retrieve information from the server [DF-DFERH-01]. Googling this error only shows me a bug that affected the GTalk a few months back. But the even more odd thing is, its starting to happen on my N7 as well. I can download free apps fine. It looks like it's having problems initilizing Google Wallet for the purchase. Wasnt having these problems with my other phone (EVO 4G LTE on Sprint). Is this a known bug with T-Mobiles networks? I've tried it on multiple wireless networks, as well as HSPA. Even had my buddy sitting right next to me try and he could download fine. I'm rooted on CM10 today, but I've tried 3-4 other ROMS with the same problem. Almost positive its tied into my Google account. Did the basic troubleshooting steps such as clearing the Play Store data/cache/uninstalled a Google Play Services update, and re-added my Google account. Is anyone else experiencing this? And if so, is there a known fix?

I did actually. I switched to ParanoidAndroid for a second to see a new build. I screwed around for a few seconds then uninstalled it.

So currently you are running at which dpi? 99 percent of the time market errors are caused by dpi

How would I tell that? It was set to stock when I flashed PA. And I set everything back before I flashed back.
Could also be a problem with your account like you mentioned. I think some people have had problems when having multiple services associated with that account. Maybe create a new account and see if it still happens. Dont know how inconvenient that may be for you.
But if its happening on different roms and devices then its surely the account. Maybe contact google support?

Yeah. That's kind of worst case scenario. I know they're a PITA to get in touch with. That's why I was seeing if there is anyone else with this problem that could possibly help me fix it.

I've tried that already, and still no avail.
And it's still happening. I guess its time to get in touch with Google.. :/
Is anyone else having this issue in google play.
You scroll down as you look at apps.
You select one to look at it then go back to the app list.
Once back to the list you are started back at the top.
Pretty annoying if you are pretty far down.
Anyone know of a fix
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
It works like that for everyone. I have not seen a fix for it.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
It will probably be fixed in a newer version, it is annoying but its no biggie
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda app-developers app
I have actually contacted Google about this. It happens when viewing the "My Apps" and is especially annoying in the "All" tab. It also happens in the "Top New Free" apps section. Google emailed me back and said they can't promise anything, but my concern had been forwarded to their developers. I really hope they fix this.
Good deal. Yeah it's not a huge deal but gets annoying when you are searching for apps and have to scroll through a couple hundred apps to get back to where you left off. Seems like it would be an easy fix for Google I wonder why they don't fix it.

It would be great if they fix it soon... and also give us the possibility to clean the chronology of the google play, i've an endless list of apps it's pretty useless...

Yes, now that you mention it the app history of every app you downloaded in the last 5 years is worse. I download and try a ton of free apps as well as paid. Most free apps are deleted within the day, so I have a gazillion apps in the my apps list

I agree these issues are annoying. I'll sign any petition!
Furthermore, they need to bring back a way of filtering purchased apps. All of our purchased apps should be in one convenient place.

I heard there was an apk called "play legend"that allows you to see all purchased apps, still haven't found + installed it yet though

Theres legacy play store by Paul O'brien on MoDaCo.
An update to the Playstore is being rolled out to address some of these issues. You can now remove apps from the all apps list and it appears to keep your place when you scroll.

This new Play Store is sweet! You can delete historical apps and it remembers your position when navigating backward!
I downloaded from the article link, cleared market data, pushed to system (rooted), and rebooted. Works great.

Looks like Wallet has a nice update and so far I do not see any nag screens for rooted devices either. Check it out and let others know what your results are..
Links to thread is here and direct link to file is here
Not too shabby and it seems to work on more devices now. Tested on an S4 for Tmobile and it also loads up. Did not test purchases though
I was actually looking for the apk. Thanks! I had to clear app data to get it to start up. I kept getting forced closes. It's up and running now. Will test payments out soon.

glad I could help and I like the direction they are going with the app and the ability to add "loyalty programs"
What is the version number of the update?
Edit: Nevermind. My wallet app just updated from the play store.
