Google Wallet Issues..help - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

Im having issues with google wallet workin on my sprint galaxy nexus...it keeps saying its not certified for my country/device. Im in the usa and im using blackice rom with samarai kernel. It was working fine before i edited the build.prop to get s-voice working...any help? Thanks

You answered your own question- your build.prop edit broke it. At this point, you can have one or the other. Either you let Vlingo's servers think you have a SIII, which is currently unsupported for Wallet, or let Money Network know that you have a GN.

I don't think Wallet works pretty with a lot of root measures.

Ok....well does anyone know what the build.prop should say in order for wallet to work? I dont remember what it was before i changed it

What it looked like originally-
ro.product.model=Sprint Galaxy Nexus CDMA
ro.product.device=toroplus
Also you should have a build prop.bak file just rename the .bak to txt and replace file
Hope this helped
(Change...
ro.product.model=Galaxy Nexus
To...
ro.product.model=GT-I9300
Do the same with line ro.product.device
Save changes and exit app. Reboot device and enjoy.
EDIT: Its been reported that this may cause GWallet not to function!

Changed it back to what it was originally and its still not working...thinking of either reflashing this rom or going back to stock if i cant get it working

It will work, if you restored the app from a back up, try and this go into the settings in the app and rest the account, you won't lose your money but that helped me it when i switched kernel s

are you trying to install the .apk for google wallet?
I started getting that message a few days after I updated to the latest G Wallet. When I first opened it, it asked for root access and I allowed it. A few days later, I started getting the message and the app quit working. I uninstalled, reinstalled, restored from titanium, etc. Nothing worked. Finally, I tried installing and using a different Google account. The message hasn't been back and it works when i use it. It seems that if you allow root access, google takes note of your account and the fact that you are using a rooted device, but if you use a different account it'll work. Not the ideal workaround, especially if you associate your bank cards with your google account, but its working for me.
Look to pickup the nexus this weekend, i am look to rooted but use the stock. I would like know to know will i get the error unsupported device on the stock rom with G wallet
From what I'm reading it will work, only we are warned that there are no promises that it won't be hacked....

I been using Google wallet with the unsupported message on top since root and I have pay over 60$ with it I did know allow root access tho

To anyone using this method/mod, are you guys able to make any phone calls? Everytime i try to, phone FCs
Yes phone calls work fine. I doubt your issue is because of Google wallet.

Just a word of caution, if you flash new rom after installing wallet make sure you reset from within wallet before flashing to avoid secure element error. The error could potentially make your device not work with wallet ever again.

i've had this work on my GS3, but after adding funds to the prepaid card, I can no longer make transactions.

I tried this and it didnt work. I did the following:
- Build.prop changes
- downloaded market enabler and ran t-mobile/verison fake emulation
- downloaded google wallet from play store.
Now.. I try to link my gmail account. It loads forever. And eventually closes.
Any thoughts?
Worked fine for me also. I'm pretty sure that if you change your build.prop back to T-999 it'll continue to work once set up
Lol. Nope. Can't change your build.prop back

[Q] Google Wallet

does anyone have the latest Google Wallet apk? I found R87 floating on the net, but when I install and launch, I am told that it needs to be upgraded. I am on Verizon and rooted. I have run this app in the past without very many issues, but haven't run it in over a month. Any help appreciated.

After receiving the message that my version v1.5-R87-v15 was out of date, I was directed to the play store where I learned what the new version was but couldn't access it because because of the Verizon blockage. I have succeeded in finding the new apk and restoring Google Wallet by installing v1.6 R96 v13; however, my first install failed to function.
here you go
I found if you change 2 build.prop entries you can download direct from play store then set them back.

They have to select paypass/paywave as the payment method, they probably don't know what you are doing and did not have the reader activated..

I'm at work right now. Will try to see which ones when I get time. I know the entries are ro.product.name and ro.product.device . can't remember what to change them to though. You change them to the galaxy nexus device it works on think it's gsm version.

Sorry for the delay my Wife was in the hospital for half the night she's feeling better now. Well here the build.prop settings I changed.
ro.product.device=toro change from toro to maguro
ro.product.name=mysid change from mysid to yakju
This worked for me although this thread has the newest wallet and used it on my latest ROM change. If you change ROM's make sure you go to settings and reset google wallet app before you leave old ROM. Some are saying it will break Wallet if you don't.

Help w snote

I recently rooted to get a working google wallet flashed the file and it works bfine but now my snote has this annoying watermark saying something is incompatible and now my snote wont save any new documents. Any ideas ?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
I'm pretty sure because you changed your build prop to a Galaxy nexus so wallet would work. That causes snote not to work

Does anyone know of a work around?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
Ya change your build prop lol
but but my google wallet sniff
Snote..... or wallet lol
After wallet is setup then paste or move or whatever it takes to get the original build prop or build prop of your choice, back into the /system folder. I think that is where it is at. Wallet will still work.
If you figure that part out then start over by reflashing your rom if you are on a custom rom, save the build prop somewhere like your external sd card, do your wallet thing with the build prop, set up wallet, then go back and move the correct build prop in place of the build prop that you used for wallet. Wallet will still work. Yes, you can have both.
Oh this is going to be fun lets hope I dont break something lol thanks for the info. Im running stock btw
