I've searched the forum to no avail.
I am making a widget which includes location and temp. No matter which location I enter (Orlanda, Florida, USA) the temp is always 39 F. Auto location says that location is not available.
Google search brings up nothing as well.
Thanks ahead of time.

hi, anyone got any ideas why in Google latitude and weather widget when I set it to use gps to detect my location it just displays UK instead of my town? if I set latitude to manual and say to use current location it picks up my town fine. I am confused, tried just about everything.

Have you tried using the wireless/mobile networks and not GPS to find location in the weather widget?

How do I get the widget to pick up my GPS instead of set locations? I see where I can base a new location to add on my current location list but that location is static on the widget.
So if I work and live 20 miles apart I won't have current weather, just for the location I have set.

Click on the app, hit the menu button, click on the settings, then enable current location. That should do it.
That doesn't actually do anything. It still uses the location mapped

Hey Guys,
I've had my Galaxy Nexus for a while now, lately the browser cannot find my location, G+ (the app cannot find my location for nearby posts OR check in), facebook app can't find my location either, nor does twitter or any other client. I do get a decent lock on (with just data/wifi based location) in Google Maps.
Why is it that the other apps are failing to do so? Is anyone else facing this? or does anyone know how to fix this?
Thanks
Bump

Did you make sure your GPS is enabled and in settings you are allowing it to be used in apps? Just checking...

No gps is disabled, I'm talking about network based location which the app fails to get. How do I check if my settings are allowing the apps to use location data?
Have you set all three options under localization services?

Anyone know how to change the weather widget came with the ION to search for GPS location (moved with device) instead of a fixed location ? I have tried out a few weather widgets in the Play Market, still like the default - simple and elegant. Thanks.
You have to have Google location services enabled. Took me a year to figure that out on my Play.

Where do find google services option? Isn't that the same as GPS Satellite? I had that checked still don't see any option in the weather widget beside entering city name.

I don´t think you can with the Ion widget. I had to install the Weather Channel program, when you configure its widget you can set it for current location. But the widget sucks, so now I use it from the App menu only.
Hi,
what is the right way to enter the location of an appointment so that Google now reminds me that it is time to go?
I´ve tested it with only a city name in the location field and it worked, but when I insert a location like: postalcode city, street housenumber it doens´t work.
Any ideas?
That's always worked for me... or the coordinates. Maybe put the address in Google maps first, might be wrong.

I just put the address in the event box in Google calendar. So, for my drs appointment, i set an event for the date and time in Google calendar, and there is a place for location.

You don't even need the address if the location is listed on Google Maps. I set a concert venue's name as a location and Now had the right address and navigation time.
Your problems probably that you put the postal first, put the house number first and postal last.

Check the Google Now settings and see if the next appointment card is on.
