Wow that's awesome, I got a Note 2 with the warmer whites and I was hoping someone would be able to make the screen brighter. Now I have to wait for the ota update for multi window in order to root and be able to apply this!

Why would anyone want to increase brightness on their note 2?!?! Lmao I feel like at halfway it's already too bright.. At max it looks like I'm carrying the Sun in my pocket haha!

In most circumstances, the Note 2 has more than enough brightness, but out in the sun, the extra brightness may help a bit at times.

Exactly and some of us got a Note 2 with the crappy warmer whites issues so extra brightness helps there. My OG note is brighter in the white color range than my Note 2.

ya i thought was the only one qith the warmer whites. this did make it a little better . i wonder if ita possible to reduce the warmness of the whites. because when i look at the phone at a certain angle the whites look great
I ended up with warm white color as well. This helps a little but not too much.

suddenly, with no change on my note 2 it doesn´t works anymore. i deinstalled it and installed fresh. no go. is there a workaround or a hot tip for me ?
Worked for me just changed it on my homescreen and saw a difference, how much will this effect my screen life overtime, is there a real chance of overheat at 10% ?

I am running the exact same set up and couldnt happier. All i need now is to figure out how to bring back the voice key on the keyboard.
The GPS, battery, and camera could be better.
The GPS completely blows.
Best phone on the market but I wouldn't call it perfect.
What gps problem? It locks so fast on me
Perfect device? When a product needs you to buy something extra to make it perfect, it's not perfect already.
Plus the camera literally blows.

The perfect phone has a better than RGBG pentile screen.
I am running Liquid 1.3, Trexcell 3800 battery, and Franco kernel. Getting 5 1/2 hours screen time, about 18 hours total with very heavy use (4g, wifi, no power management, 3d games etc). I love the camera after putting in the high quality mods, it's no standard point and shoot but it's good enough for me!

I'm in Houston and my GPS is great. Occasionally it goes wack but usually it corrects itself quickly. Atrix was best GPS phone I ever had. And then occasionally any GPS is susceptible to less optimal conditions but that is rare.

So I'm running a custom kernel with lowered voltages... even over wifi this thing runs hot. After about 15 minutes The screen emulates heat don't even have to touch it to feel it. Even underclocked its still running warm. Coming from a single core you would think having another core would reduce some heat but my epic never got this hot at all. So how hot does your nexus run? If I would guestamate I would say around 100° or so. The brightness isn't that high however my rgb values are pretty high at least the blue value is. I like a cool screen temp.

Sorry,wrong thread
To be deleted.
Is it me or is the auto brightness on the screen quite poor compared to stock? With stock, I remember I could see the screen change all the time.
Also, the notification color LED looks....off. Blue is much lighter, red looks different. But blue isn't nearly at blue nor as bright.
Also the network status thing seems to change a lot...I can go from LTE to H+ to H to 3G all in the same spot within 10 minutes. While in stock it was always on 4g or LTE anywhere I went.
The notification for voicemail is un-deletable for some reason....
The call quality on CM10 is quite poor compared to touchwiz, It isn't bad, but it isn't nearly as good. It seems CM10 lacks the last settings for this kind of stuff. I am not sure if anyone else thinks so. If not, how can I fix this?
Last thing, Is there a good alternative to the Touchwiz camera? I'd love to have HDR, all the filters, and modes back from the Touchwiz camera. I believe HDR is coming in 4.2. There are a lot of camera apps, but very few have HDR AND other features. They have one or the other. Isn't 4.2 bringing HDR?
Thanks guys. So far I am loving CM10. Everything runs far smoother and looks prettier. Best of all, I'll probably have 4.2 by the time the OTA updates comes out for AT&T.
Can't answer all your questions but with regards to the camera app every one I've tried is garbage. You're better off forgetting that your phone can take pictures until 4.2 comes out.
Edit: actually every one isn't garbage, but like you said they're all missing 1 feature or another or they're unintuitive or slow.
Pro capture is decent but lacks HDR and the panorama mode is a pain to use (not as bad as stock android but it doesn't make sense the way it works). Give that one a shot.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using xda premium
The reason your service is changing frequeantly isn't actually a problem or anything wrong. With CM10 it is reporting the actual signal your phone is getting. With touchwiz it's reporting what you could be connected to. Basically on your stock TW the actual signal will change from LTE to H+ and 3G to save your battery from constantly staying on the LTE connection. Your service doesn't indicate this change because that would annoy most users. On CM10 this change is reported. It's actually the same behavior of your internal radio but you are just seeing it fluctuate more as it is doing it's job to save your battery.
Glad you asked about the camera though. It's the only thing holding me back from flashing because I like to take lots of pictures and the quality just isn't there.
Anyone have some help on the other questions

Interesting. How did you figure out that "reduced noise" is the same as HDR? Does it actually merge two exposures? If not, it may help scenes that would otherwise be over/underexposed, but it's not really HDR...

That is what HDR does. It over exposes and under exposed the picture at different ISO settings. It would take one picture at 200 ISO and the other at 800 ISO. This allows you take a picture where it is light where is is normally dark and dark where it is normally light. This prevents a picture from being too dark in some parts and washed out it others.

Hi all,
I have a Galaxy S4 I9500, I keep my brightness at full all the time. When I finish playing games even "subway surfer" for 10 minutes, and exit to the desktop, I find that brightness is lowered alittle bit & increase gradually to the previous state which is full brightness (from 5 to 10 seconds). Could this be a result of that when playing games, the device uses the 1.6 quad core CPU and upon exit it takes alittle time (those 5 to 10 seconds) to shift to the 1.2 quad core CPU?
Really need your help.
Thanks alot.

S4 Brightness Vs. Overheating...
Thank you all for your reply, I keep my brightness at full all the time. and auto-brightness is disabled. i came to find out that the brightness dimming and returning to full again, is only when the phone is overheating. i read an article about a phenomena like this but for the Xperia Z, it says that this is normal as it's a way that warns you that the phone is overheating and to preserve the screen and the battery. Do you think that this is also true and normal for the S4 I9500? Thanks.

Very nice phone with great specs and a super screen. We own 5 of these units (large family) and they all run very smooth. I would recomend it to anyone. This community on the other hand, well not so great. A lot of snooty peeps on here whining about noob this and misplaced that. If you check my signature you can see im no stranger to these forums and I can tell you I have never encountered so many mods and people closing threads and being rude. So if you can live with the community support until the phone becomes more popular and the forum gets straitened out then id say go for it. Just remember that there wont be much custom stuff for months to come. Thecubed sounds like he is coming here though so hope is alive.

I tend to read other forums and the people are down right rude to each other. and Lord please don't say that your s4 or HTC one have a build problem or some kind of possible defect those people will come down on you with the wrath of God. sometimes I do feel like people's comment go way to far but overall it's cool here maybe because there isn't much going on yet but let's hope this group of people can keep supporting each other.

One other thing you may want to consider is if your watching benchmark reviews dont pay attention to them atm. The antutu scores are about right but mostly everything else is way off. This phone benches very close to s4 with a larger screen. I think perhaps they were benching with power saver or something to get that low.

There are several pro vs s4 vs one vids that have posted quadrants of a little over 8k. Way low on and totally inaccurate. Ive benched all 5 of ours and they hit 12k each time. The gpu is a bit lower end than s4 speeds but as we know pro has a much larger screen thus slightly decreased scores.

The OGPro is extreamly responsive. Any native app opens very fast. As for 3rd party apps- I personally have no complaints but at times it might depend on the app...even thogh the possessor is one of the best out there and no app should cause a slow down.
On the other hand, I come from a SGSII and this phone is a killer...I love it so much!!!
I've never even thought that I will buy an LG but Sammy got me so tired of the look and feel of the UI and without tweeks I was not happy... This one though-I'll keep even without bootloader unlocked
