Any touchwiz rom will work, most people use el29, but any will work from el29-fi27 if on touchwiz it locks but not real accurate download GPS status & toolbox and clear and redownload A-GPS data, that's the GPS assistance data

Now complete FC24 repack is available thru Calkulin's E4GT 2 v1.3a

Calk released complete FC24 (Kernel is FC24 now) repack thru his Calkulin's E4GT 2 v1.3a.
You can download it from his thread at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1527041
It seems like only the difference between 1.3 and 1.3a is the kernel version.
v1.3 had the kernel FC22 and v1.3a now has kernel FC24.
"I just noticed the uploaded version has the FC22 kernel some how, so I'm uploading now v1.3a that includes the FC24 kernel I meant to include"
By the way, once after I flashed his rom this in this afternoon, I noticed a quite difference on battery consumption. I never seen this type of patterns before and it seems like it's the best so far and I hope to see the same pattern on 1.3a or even better.
[Update]
Confirming that 1.3a has the FC24 Kernel (screenshot attached).
Wow, I've not seen Rogue Recovery Kernel based on FC24 yet on Dev section but Calk already included Rogue Recovery into his Kernel. I'm really surprised!
[Update]
Sextape released FC24 Full Stock Rom at his thread - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1572182
[Update]
For anyone who want to use Stock Kernel without cwm, extract zImage file for Sextape's tar file and flash it thru odin or mobile odin. To go back to Rogue recovery, use the zImage file again from Calk's zip file. Now I'm testing with Stock Kernel.
How do you download the tar? All I get is some download for iLividSetupV1.exe

the file server is under the maintenance now. I'll check it again once it's available and let you know.
Just flashed over 1.2 and GPS now works!!! Locks in under 5 seconds in my apartment. On 1.2 I wasn't seeing any birds and was never able to lock. I am still on fc22 modem don't think I will be flashing fc24 modem BC I'm afraid it may mess up my GPS.

John posted up a working link
If you are really worry about GPS lock after upgrade, make the nandroid backup and apply the 1.3a with modem. If it worked on your 1.2, it should work on 1.3a also. Don't worry too much. In worst case, if it does not work, you can simply go back to your 1.2 using nandroid backup.
Many people said that we are almost close to the public release, so 1.3a (fc24) would be the last one on ICS 4.0.3....

Do you think samsung will wait to test and release a 4.0.4, or will they go ahead with a 4.0.3?
Sorry let me clarify. When I was running 1.2 w/ fc22 modem I had no GPS lock at all. I just flashed 1.3a, and now I do get GPS lock.
I know GPS is somewhat a hit or miss depending on devices but thought I'd share my experience.

If your GPS worked on 1.3a with modem fc22, then GPS should work on modem FC24 also. Again, nothing to worry.

My personal opinion is, Samsung would wait until 4.0.3 settled down and collect some census. And after that, they are going to release the test version of 4.0.4.
But this would be highly related to the new products coming on and market situation. Samsung is always trying to be a first player in any areas but these days they are kind of slow because they are too heavy to move fast!!!
The only thing I dont like about this rom is the text size of the email client. I have it on small but it is still massive and wont stay small

That's one of the reason why I always use low density like 160, 180 or 200. 240 is too big for me even I'm old enough!

There's a couple apps in the Google Play store that you can download that can change your density. It may make some of your apps stop working though so be warned.

Check this thread -
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1572758
LCD Density tool in the market usually does not work and sometimes it's causing a FC. In worst case, you have to flash the whole rom again. So, I do not recommend to use any LCD Density change app. Just change the density by yourself. It's easy. Read the linked thread.
kobridge dont forget the stock kernel is available from sfhubs thread no need to extract it from the leak directly if u dont want to.

Hi! I flashed Virtuos G-Lite rom to my phone, and it works perfeclty exept Beautiful widgets keeps telling me that problem in geolocation, locatino does not exist. in other programs gps and other network-based location works and BW geolocatino works in every other rom that I have tried. getting the top scroll bar

i know that's the wrong name but if i odin back to el30 is there a way to get that top bar that you can scroll through 4g, auto rotation, data etc or is that only a feature cooked into roms? thanks
Most good TW custom roms (the peoples rom, CleanGB) have the quickpanelsettings app built in so you can modify your status bar power control. However CM9 w/ reloaded mod and stock AOKP can do this as well through their own methods.

Is anyone else experiencing issues with GPS?
I tried all the possible fixes:
1. Stock - wait for fix - reflash
2. Replacing gps.conf files
3. Fasterfix, GPSFix, GPS AIDS - any app - you name it!
4. EXIT_ONLY GPS fix
any other suggestions are welcome..

No I haven't
I'm on fl24. Do you have any suggestions?
Secondly - if I got lock on gb stock, does that that mean the modem is fine?

On tw it is, on Pacman it might not be. Download other ics Modems and give them a try. Once you flash it, update prl/profile, see if that helps.

I like to just flash the whole TW ROM + modem so I can update the PRL and profile. Get a GPS lock while you are on the TW ROM. Then follow the install instructions in the PACman thread. If it doesn't work, repeat the same steps again. RWilco's OC files are a godsend.
My phone seems to like FI27 (or whatever the one before FL24 is.)

Need testers. Based off official Samsung firmware . Everyone welcome to test. Please leave constructive feed back in this thread. I will monitor, and use your feedback to create a solid note 2 Rom. It will never have note 3 features, only ones that come in official note 2 firmware. That being said, I will add as many S5 apps as possible. I will move this to the development section once it's out of testing.
So far contains:

S5 weather
S5 mms
De-odexed

more - will update later with more thanks and features soon.
Instructions:
Make A backup
Flash Rom, make a few decisions, let boot and settle, go back into recovery, then flash su zip, reboot, let settle till you get signal bars, then continue setup. Once setup is done,, set ATT APN, reboot, then test it.
If you don't understand these instructions, you should not be a tester. :sly:

I also have a T889. Are you flashing the MK7 Modem after flashing this. The last 4 4.4TW roms I tried I flashed the mk7 modem and I was getting data issues. Once I revert back to DN3 eventhing acts normal.

Wifi Problem
Noted couple of issues
1. Cannot set Wallpapers. Says app not installed
2. WiFi is spotty. Suddenly stops working. Not sure what should I do to restore... I see it working after some time. Let me know if anybody has got some tweaks / mod to fix this.
Other things seems working. Will report any other problems I faced.
Set wallpaper in settings for now.

Everything working ok here only had to change the various build.props to t0lteatt where they were set to t0ltexx to show correct stuff for att. Only weird thing is on boot I get an "android update apps" for a few seconds before the swipe screen. Outside of that everything else is working good. Thanks for this version.
