CPU Tuner - T-Mobile, Samsung Galaxy SIII

I want to be able to use CPU Tuner or SetCPU, but I'm not sure wether or not it is safe due to the fact that I'm flashing a ROM that already has a performance setting.
I'm currently flashing AOKP M1.
Should I enable CPU Tuner?
Thanks in advance.

Just don't use both at the same time. Pick one and stay with it.

CPU settings

Coming from the peter alfonso world of the Droid 1, there is something I loved and was wondering if it was possible for our incredibles.
He had a flashable zip called CPU toolkit, I think, that would add cpu settings to the devices menu. This let you NOT have to install setcpu and still be able to adjust CPU setting.
Possible perhaps?

I've never seen it. Closest I've seen is BAMF on the Tbolt. But I don't use any of that. The best way to manage kernel settings is via a script in /system/etc/init.d, assuming your kernel support that. If it doesn't, apps probably won't work real well either. If you have questions, hit me up and I'll explain more.
some cpu settings are already in the cm7 rom.

True but I was just thinking of a flashable zip for generic roms.

[Q] Lower clocked kernel for Juggernaut 5.0?

I was wondering if there were any kernels out the with a lower clock the the one juggernaut comes with. 1.7 seems like a waste of battery. Does anyone know where I can get one? I like the simplicity of Juggernaut and how similar it is to stock, minus the bloat so i'm not interested in switching roms. Just looking for a more economical kernel. thanks =]
You can do it yourself with FauxClock

Or SetCPU, System Tuner, AnTuTu CPU Master, Voltage Control There's plenty of apps that will control clock speed that don't require you to change kernels. Although if you're looking to undervolt as well, I've only found System Tuner to give me voltage controls. The rest only give me clock speed controls. But if all you want to do is turn the clock speed down, any of those will work!
thanks guys I appreciate it
FauxClock gives voltage control too. It's what I use.

Ah yes I stand corrected, I meant out of the ones that I tested system tuner was the only one that gives voltage control options. I've personally never tried faux click but there ya have it!

How to OC GPU?

I see that when running the neak kernel on the uNeak app, theres a section where there are steps for the GPU clock speeds. To oc do you just raise the last step or what? Do I have to add a step if so how do I add one?
Also what is the highest clock you guys have run GPU up to on the note 2? On my n7, I ran it up to 700mhz without issues and 750mhz with occasional lockups
I'd like to do this on carbon with the kernel it comes with if possible.

I have OC'd up to 800MHz, but I usually keep it at 733MHz and underclock the CPU a bit. I don't think the Neak kernel supports OC'ing of any kind. You're better of with Perseus in that regards. By flashing the kernel the STweaks app is also automatically flashed and you can change settings from there.

Oc is supported for the gpu in the neak I wanna know if its possible to add a step instead of overclocking every step or just the last step
Cpu oc is not available though.

Can't set max CPU slimbean 4.1.2

For some reason it is not letting me set max CPU on slimbean 4.1.2 I even tried the new 4.2.2 and same thing. With stock kernel. I can set the min but max just won't stick.
Any suggestions? I would like to stay on stock kernel. Does it even have that function? I would think it should.

use system tuner, kernel tuner, etc. usually works bettter than the built in rom features when it comes to setting the cpu at a certain level and making it stick.

atomic GB 7.0 oveclock?

i'm really happy with my atomic gb 7.0. very stable and to me better than stock. I'm using no-frills CPU (1.024 mghz max clock and 122 MHz min clock). Is there any way to speed up my phone? I'm getting about 14.5 fps avg. I can play most games smoothly but I wanted to see if there's a way to speed things up to get a better score. my highest score is about 15.2.
I'm not a guru with the play and any help would be great help!
thanks!
Hey buddy,
Heres my settings for a super smooth UI
Max - 1.2 GHz
Min - 180MHz
Govenor - Lulzactive
Scheduler - Row
With these clock settings you should have a good battery & awesome performance,

thanks for the reply. I greatly appreciate that. i'm using no-frill CPU and there are no options to go past 1.024ghz max or 122mhz min clock and the options for governor and scheduler that you listed are not offered. am I using the correct app or something else I can do?
thanks!

seems to me like you are running the stock kernel... i would google on how to flash/install lupus kernel which offers a higher clock speed and other various govenors/schedulers,
