Dear All;
I have reciently installed Elixir, under "system" tab I have noticed the following:
1-the "Bootloader" in Unknown
2-the "Radio" is Unknown
3-the "Serial" is Unknown
Kindly advice why I'm having this??
How can I check the same from the device it self? Is there any code which will give me these info??
I have Gingerbread 2.3.3 JV6, it was downloaded from Samfirmware.com and flashed through odin
Hi,
I have been offered a generic phone in February 2014 by an office supplies retailer as part of a special offer.
The make is "SCOTT" and Settings>"About phone" gives me:
Model number: HWD-MP001
Android version: 4.2.2
Kernel version: MT6572
Custom build number: kp.HWD-MP001.v05
Recently, I have been having problems with my Samsung S4 so in order to test whether it was the phone (S4) or another factor, I wanted to start using the Scott phone.
Unfortunately, any adding of my Google account leads to two seemingly-related issues:
I get a "Google Talk authentication failure" message
I can't download anything from the PlayStore or upgrade any app because I get an "RPC:S-7:AEC-7" error.
Believe me, I have tried everything the entire Web suggests, including what the "get help troubleshooting" in the dialog that reports the "RPC:S-7:AEC-7" error says, to no avail. I've been on this for weeks now.
I had installed the Play Store APK in version 5.10.30 on the phone. But today, I noticed that the latest version on the S4 had changed to 6.0.0 so I downloaded it again from the S4 and installed it to the Scott phone. The installation failed without an error other than "App not installed", probably due to very low internal memory (15 MB...).
My question now is: how can I find an appropriate ROM for this phone? Checking for system updates is useless: either (through Software Updates) the phone does not even try to send a single packet over the Wi-Fi: it says right then "Your system is currently up to date" or (through "System updates) I get an additional "Network connection failed" message.
Thanks.
I have a stock unrooted N7100. I was notified of a software update yesterday, and chose to install it. The phone rebooted, got to 25%, then displayed a dead Android with the message "Error", and rebooted. If I go to the Software Update screen I get this message:
"Failed to update firmware. Try again using PC software (Kies) or visit a Samsung service centre"
The phone is currently running Android 4.4.2 - build KOT49H.N7100XXUFNE1.
Has anyone else encountered this? If so, did you have any luck using Kies?
I've tried to install Kies on my Acer Switch 10V Windows 10 laptop and got this error:
"The application has failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect. Please see the application event log or use the command line sxstrace.exe tool for more detail."

download the latest firmware for N7100 from sammobile.com or samsung-firmware.org and flash it with Odin application for PC while putting the phone into download mode..
no need for kies.
Hi guyz, Snakeforhire here. For some reason I can't access my old account anymore so had to create another one :/
My 3rd phone (not in production) is a N7100 which behaves weird since I flashed a stock 4.4.2 ROM on it : when I boot it up, it loads OK, recognizes the SIM card and asks for the PIN to unlock it, but once fully booted it doesn't pick up a carrier and displays the barred circle instead Wifi and bluetooth work OK though.
From what I can see it has a valid IMEI (an analyser tool from PlayStore recognizes it as a valid GN2 IMEI), and the EFS doesn't seem corrupted.
"About device" displays the following info :
Android version : 4.4.2
baseband version : N7100XXUFND3
Kernel version : 3.0.31-1280411
(....)
Build #KOT49H.N7100XXUFND3
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thx !
Has the phone been blacklisted from your carrier? Is it possible there is a loose connection inside?
I have a att s20 plus trying to update it but cant find the firmware the phone wont update ota some dumb error help.

Unfortunately, ATT does not release firmware files.
Instead, you must update using FOTA (Firmware Over The Air).
From ATT's website you must:
Make sure you're in the U.S. and on our wireless network.
You can download the update via Firmware Over the Air (FOTA).
You must connect your device to Wi-FiĀ® to download the update.
Although there should be no impacts to settings or data, we recommend backing up your media files to an SD card, a computer, or using a favorite application, prior to upgrading the software.
Update & verify software
Update software
Make sure your device is fully charged and connected to Wi-Fi.
Swipe down from the Notification bar and select Settings.
Scroll to and select Software update, then Check for updates.
Follow the on-screen prompts to download and install the update. The device automatically restarts once the new software successfully installs.
If you have tried this and failed, what error message are you getting ?
or you can visit this ATT site for help with your issue:
