Hey Everyone:
Got my GN2 on launch day from AT&T and am loving it so far!
I am however having an issue when I set up events. When I do so, one of the fields is "Location" and next to it there is the little google maps icon, in trying to put the location, it is never found. The error reads something about "no results found..."
This field has always worked on my previous Android devices and I find it odd that it is working working on my GN2.
If anyone has some insight on this situation, it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks for the help and I hope you are all enjoying your device!

Hey guys, I have a DInc for a work phone here, and we're trying to test something with the VCast Apps app, but when we try to get into it, it launches and gives us the following error:
"Error: Unable to verify your account information. Please call Customer Service."
Thing is, our Office Manager isn't in today thus VZW won't speak to any of us about it. Has anyone else experienced this before? I'm just trying to see what this error is all about. I've already tried going into Manage Applications and clearing out the data for VCast Apps, tried soft resetting the device, and I've made sure it's signed into GMail and all that stuff. I'm fairly sure it's an account issue but I figured I'd poke around XDA and see if anyone has any input
Thanks in advance, any help is greatly appriciated!
I've had that error too before. I don't use that VZW stuff still but if I remember correctly, I could turn off WiFi and that apparently helped it work for me.
Just recently my phone is getting hung up when trying to download my e-mail. It can't log on, then it won't disconnect. I've tried a hard reset and still no luck. I'm connecting to a g-mail account. I've been running the same ROM for over a yr and haven't had any issues until just this week. Any one else out there have an issue with this?
Looks like this is a Google problem. They're researching it. Read about it here.
The word is if you disable automatic send/receive and manual download instead, it should work.
However, I'm in the process of trying this now, and it's doing the same thing.
thanks, I just set-up a yahoo account and it's working good. Guess I'll push my e-mail that way until they get it figured out.

"Word" isn't entirely correct... my phone still hangs at login stage even after a hard reboot. Switching to POP access from IMAP looks more promising.
Neither worked for me, so if it works for you, you're one step ahead.
A fix for another problem seems to have fixed the problem for those who started experiencing the hanging since May 19th.
Google is still in the process of confirming whether this fix is officially *the* fix for mobile Gmail.
I can confirm on my phone that Gmail (at least manual send/receive) is now working again. I just switched back to automatic send/receive to see if that works as well.
Hi do not know if these were witnessed feel that your phone so me and my other friends was what happened to us

It would be my guess we all experienced the same thing... someone at gmail goofed. Wasn't limited to any one device or carrier. They seem to have fixed it now, mine's been working fine since the day after my last post.
Searching the internet I found something on a topic also called the sleep of death occurred only for the HTC Touch Pro 2 which had the Windows Mobile 6.5 version will leave the link in case you want to see.

Was away from android for a while and went to the dark side (iPhone) for a few months. Well, I'm back and glad to be here. Just got my new HTC One M8 and I love it. One thing that was really nice about the iPhone was how easy it was to set location based reminders. They worked every time without having to mess with anything. I am stock right now and using google now to set location based reminders is giving me some issues. Most of the time they just don't work. Or the reminder goes off after I've been at the place for a while. Anybody ran into this or have a way to resolve it? I'm wondering if the gps does not receive a signal consistently or something. Any help would be much appreciated. I'd love to be able to do it through google now rather than launching an app.
I just received my MOTO 360 today and it has been able to send text messages then suddenly when dictating a text in Google Now on the watch it says that it "Can't Connect to Google at the Moment."
I have the newest software update (KGW42 R 4.4W.1) on the watch and I have done multiple factory resets to no avail. I have also switched the phone from Hello SMS to Google Hangouts and that has not helped.
It appears to involve any Google Now command like reminders. However, I can search the web fine.
I am running a Nexus 5 Unlocked with 4.4.4.
Any help would be appreciated. I'd like to get this resolved.
I'm having the exact same issue... and I just bought my Moto360 today as well. I got it to work for a few minutes then it disapeared again. Would not suprise me if this is an outage on google's side.... at least I hope it is. If I try any google voice action it opens a seach of that term instead of the action, so I have searched for "set an alarm for 9am" about a hundred times.

Yes. Any time I use a voice action to, let's say set a reminder, I get the same error message. Just as the text message. I do hope this is a problem on Google's side. Web searches appear to be working fine as you said.
Yes I am having the same issue. I got the watch yesterday night played with it till battery died. Then i charged it fully, and played with it and used it at work today. I used google commands like "remind me ..." and "set timer for ..." about 16 hours ago with no problem. Now all of a sudden for the past 7 hours I always goes to google search when i make those same commands. It is very frustrating however i am happy i am not the only one experiencing this.
Just wiped my 360 and paired it with my Nexus 5 instead of my MotoX, same exact issue. Anyone who has had one of these things for more then 12 hours had this issue tonight?
It's a problem with the Wear app that was updated by Google today. I'm sure they'll have another update that fixes what they broke by tomorrow.
Glad to see I'm not the only one with this issue... It's been driving me crazy I've been trying everything to fix it!
I was in tears thinking i got a lemon
Im glad im not the only one.. The 360 was launched here in India and i was quick to go and order before it went out of stock. I turned it on, charged it and updated it. Was trying all the voice commands and all it kept doing was a google search.. Hopefully an update will come soon enough.:fingers-crossed:
I've had my 360 for over week with no issues giving voice commands (e.g. remind me to xxxx) however just this morning, I am having the same problems as described. The weird thing is, my android wear app hasn't been updated (I've checked the version number) so that can't be the cause.
This leads me to believe its a server side issue.... hopefully...
This morning it seemed like the issue may have been resolved, not sure if anyone else can report the same.
^^^ I can report the same. The issues seem to be worked out. I will make not and post if i run into any other issues while i check it now.
Moto X pure here. Wasn't having this issue and now it suddenly popped up
Hello, all.
When I use Google Assistant on my Huawei Watch 2 and include personal information (e.g. "Take me home."), it gives me the following error message:
Actually, I need permission before I can answer personal questions about you. To change your settings, just open the Google Home app on your phone. Once that's done, ask me again!

This started happening maybe a month back or so. I know that I was able to ask personal questions at first when I got the watch. I have tried looking through the settings on the Google Home app, but I haven't found anything relevant. The watch doesn't even show up as a device alongside my Google Homes, Chromecast, and phone.
I originally had a Nexus 6P, and I recently upgraded to a Pixel 2 XL. I don't know if that has anything to do with what's happening, but I would find that pretty strange. I'm not sure exactly when this started happening, so I don't know if there's any correlation between changing phones and this issue. I just checked, and the watch says the system is up-to-date, and all installed apps are up-to-date.
I was hoping that an update would be pushed to the watch that would fix this, but it's been a long time, and I still have the same issue.
Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
Lets try...
Hi,
lets try the following method:
In your Google App on your Smartphone go to Settings -> Accounts & Privacy -> Google Activity Controls
What does it show here?
Is it the right E-Mail-Address?
If you want to use personalized orders, Google needs to track your information. E.g if you want to say "show me the home rout", it has to analyze, where your home is.
As far as I know, Google does this by checking, where your phone is (via GPS) most of the time - but thats just an idea.
Hope I could help you!

Hello.
I just checked, and the email is correct. All of the options are set to "On."
I guess I should add that when I tell my phone to take me home, that still works fine. Also, my Google Homes know where my work is. So, it shouldn't be an issue where Google isn't able to query for that personal information. I have that enabled for my account. But for some reason, I can't do it from my watch.
Any clue yet?
Did anybody figure out how to fix this?
Many others have posted the exact same problem.
