[Q][PROBLEM][S2E]Serious wake up lag rom democrazy - Samsung Galaxy Gio GT-S5660

Hi,
I'm using the final democrazy rom with s2e (ext 3 partition) on my gio, and facing a serious wake up lag. With serious I mean like 30 to 60 seconds before my phone responds normally. Before i used the democrazy rom, I used cm 7.2 gio kang without s2e, and never had that problem. So i think the issue is due to s2e. Any tips to reduce this lag?
Thanks in advance
Governor is ondemand or conservative using sio i/o scheduler

If there is data on sd-ext, if you're not using a high class sd your phone will slow down, even at lockscreen.

Using class 10 kingston, no app data on ext, only dalvik an applications

Need a good kernel for cm9 unofficial.

I'm looking for any sbc kernels that work with the unofficial cm9. I tried the tiamat ics kernel with SBC and all it did was Max out my CPU and hold it maxed until it either lags into a reboot or just freezes and I can't do anything else. Any idea what could cause this or can someone give me a list of available kernels?

Use mason kernel. Just make sure u grab the one for ics

I looked at them and I've tried both. It worked for a total of 20 mins and I got the same result. I've completely wiped and cleared everything except the SD card memory. After 20 mins the CPU maxes itself and crashes the phone. The rom runs fine by itself but it decides to go completely unstable when I add a kernel. Any ideas what could be causing it? Software/hardware inefficiency or something?

[SOLVED] link2sd,int2ext+ not working.

Hello,
i have htc wildfire s (marvel,rooted,s-on,stock 2.3.5 rom).i have facing problems with internal storage tweaks, like link2sd isn't working on my phone and also i have tried cronmod int2ext+ its working for a while (one-two weeks) then automatically my phone slow down and then restart self and all my apps data removed.
i dont know what is problem, might possible if i ported many different rom before?if anyone have solution please help.
Are you using stock kernel? Flash cake kernel or dust and try link2sd again.

im using stock kernel.can you send me link of both kernels and which one is best for good battery life? and also tell me about min, max, gov. setting for them because i dont know much.
and i just have to flash it via recovery ? i need to wipe anything like dalvik cache or partition cache?
thanks in advance.
I'm from phone so I won't be able to provide you link right now. You can search it in the development section.
You just need to flash the zip without any wipes or anything.
I personally like smartass v2 as it gives a balance between performance and battery with cfq scheduler. Set minimum to whatever doesn't give you lag and max to 787.

hey i m using cake kernel v1.4 by einstein frat
bt really i dont wana overclock my phone.i changed that setting.
my correct settings are:
122MHz-600 MHz
ondemand,deadline
my phone isnt lag.so is it good for good battery life?
or i should hv chose smartass v2 and cfq?
and really i dont want to overclock my phone so.
Smartass governor works better when it cones to savings battery as well as thrusting performance. I'd suggest you try it once. I really have no specific knowledge about any perfect input output scheduler but cm cones with cfq and i used to go with noop on my sense roms. It's all about smoothness isn't it?

And yeah with clocking to 600 Mhz you are definitely saving more battery than a higher clock so don't worry.

hey buddy.you were right, smartass v2 is better than stock settings.it gives me more life.
can you tell me min frequency is better when its high or low..like if i set min frequency to 122 MHz is better or 480 MHz is better?
i do what you said.i just flashed it without any wipes.so when i didnt wipe my old kernel so it overwrite it on? like stock kernel replaced by cake?
and im using set cpu app is good right?

Yes set cpu is good.
You can just flash kernel without any wipes.. Yes it should have replaced the old.
A lower cpu min cpu frequency is preffered but it should be high enough to cause no lag when unlocking the phone. 245 Mhz is the ideal frequency

Music lags when screen off

This is a notice to everyone....
I just recently discovered that if your cpu governer is smoothass and if your io governer is sio then your music will lag when the sceen is off and if the minimum frequency is below 245Mz. Issue dosnt exist with smartassv2 or others.
I use Google play Music so i dont know if this issue exists with other players. Im also using the cm10 jelly king v1.2 rom by kantry.

Its probably just how the governor deals with off screen mode. Besides dropping to low on the frequencys can lead to boot loops and the phone not being able to wake up :/ I'd say 245mhz is low enough

Increase the screen off max frequency.
Yeah, true but 120Mz is even lower for improved battery life so i just changed my cpu governer to smartassv2

[Q] Get Rid of Lag?

Hello everyone I just flashed the Unicef Rom v13.5 for my phone and I noticed that when transitioning home screen it lags a bit. I was wondering if there was any way to fix this sort of scrolling lag. I have my phone overclocked to 1674 MHz runnion SIO and Smartass V2. Also I have the 3.0.49 ASDK kernel running on here. Should I flash a different kernel? Should I overclock it even more? Is there a script I can run ti minimize the lag on the homescreen as well as the waking up of the lock screen? Thank you very much in advance and if this is a stupid question I am sorry.

You can try the crossbreeder mod. For me it completely eliminates lags and I'm clocked at 1024 interactive with ROW scheduler

Hey guys I downloaded and flashed crossbreeder but it doesnt seem like it fixed the lag problem.... Could it be the launcher that came with the rom that is lagging? If so is there a way to fix that?
Did you check if cross breeder was working?

Seeder script works great on my phone. Most people who use it forget that you must remove the file qrngd in system/bin first before it will work though. Once you remove that and reboot entropy will stay at 4096 at all times. No lag at all after that. Everything opens up faster almost instantly on every app and browser that I use. I have 307 apps on my phone and suffer no lag from running apps on the bsckground either. I also use a v6 patched service.jar that keeps my memory free at the max so I always have over 300 mbs of ram free even with all the apps I have. My gpu is also overclocked at 320 for 3d and 228 for 2d at all times as well. These tweaks keep my phone fast and responsive.

Yeah you have many options of different kinds of placebo mods to choose from to take care of your lag.

Did u do all wipes before installing the rom???

Im not very sure about that,i think i have but not very sure.Could the problem be because i have moved facebook app to sd card, because i think the problem starts when i enter fb app a then set it to the background.

Well seen as u have zRam enabled u will have less ram. Along with FB which eats RAM and then playing games. Try disable zRam and see if problem persists that way if ram gets low FB will be killed.
But also u should always full wipe before flashing any ROM. Meaning wipe /system /data /cache and /dalvik-cache.
Hm I thought that zRam enlarges Ram memory, now I have disabled it and will try it that way,i have also moved Facebook back again to phone memory.

Today I moved the app to the SD card it seems that the lag in the launcher is less but still in games there's still lag,so tomorrow I'll flash the rom again by wiping everything to see if the problem still exists. And I have another question does really the adreno booster reduces gaming experience and it only helps in benchmark tests?
