Remove Rosie - HTC One X

Hello,i have a question, might be a dumb one..but here it goes,is there any way that i can uninstall Rosie from a rooted stock ROM and just stick with the original launcher like...Nexus has for example?

Just install the launcher you desire and set it as standard

If you find 4.2 gapps it has nexus launcher on i use it as my daily launcher with arhd 13! Also has new gmail camera calendar and clock.
You will need to flash it though and its 150mb

Many, the most popular are NOVA Launcher and APEX Laucher, very customizable too And yes, you can remove rosie.

Ok,thank you,i will download that zip and flash it,hope it works on stock ROM.Doesn't matter if is odexed right?
I am using Go Launcher but i hate the fact that the notification bar cannot be modified,i hate the sense notification bar and i love the way the new bar looks on galaxy nexus.

Sorry for slow reply but I think the only way to get a different notification bar is custom rom are you on jellybean or ics?

You don't actually remove Rosie launcher just use a different one you can easily swap back by using the app reset preferences!

Hi all, by "Rosie" do you mean Sense? Just grab the ROM CLEANER 3.0 and flash from CWM. Then go thru the simple Aroma affair selecting "No Sense" and select an alternative launcher rom the list. Easy peasy. I used this about a month ago been on HoloLauncher HD aiming for as much AOSP as possible. Very very happy with ROMCLEANER even lets u deactivate the Sense Lockscreen! AOSP all the way for me!

Cool,i have one question since you've tried the ROM CLEANER.After you used the ROM cleaner, did the Status Bar(Notifications Bar) remained Sense?

Yes actually u r correct the status bar never alters, today I updated to Jellybean (3uk h3g) and after unlocking bootloader and flashing touch recovery and JBsuperSU, I am now running ROMcleaner3.0 NO SENSE again and I would say the sense bar this time was more transparent whereas now it is black. Maybe something to do with Holo Launcher theme.

Dunno. I guess I should just be a little more patient and wait for a vanilla ICS ROM.
anyone can re-theme Sense 4.0 to have blue ICS looks (maintain Sense Overlay)?

Android 4.2 Launcher backported to Jelly Bean

Hey Guys!
Spent a bit of time this arvo playing with the apk files from the 4.2 leak and decided to have a shot at backporting the launcher to work with Jelly Bean.
Pretty much all that is changed is a couple of strings which are obviously using new 4.2 things (but seem to be irrelevant to the launcher's functioning - stuff like accessibility levels I think they were), and changed the target API so it will work on 4.1.
It can be downloaded here:
http://d-h.st/hRk
Not sure what's new, but to me at least it seems a fair bit snappier at least compared to nova and apex.
I installed it like a normal app and it worked fine, but if you have the stock aosp launcher installed you may want to uninstall it.
Cheers,
hobo
Thanks I will try this out

That has nothing to do with the launcher. That's most likely within the SystemUI.apk, the Framework, or both.

That feature has got nothing to do with the launcher. It's the notifications panel, which is related with systemUI.apk.
(marked for deletion)
I do notice the lag from the 4.1 launcher is gone. The lag where say you're closing an app/window and it shows the closing animation and you change screens there would be a huge stutter. Now when I do that there is no lag at all.

REQUEST: Transparent Nav bar mod

I guess that everyone agrees that the black nav bar is irritating and no aesthetically appealling
thus it would be great if we could change the color or transparency of the default black navigation bar.
Currently AOKP and other custom roms have these functions but is it possible to have these functions as well with the stock rom and without installing custom roms?
Maybe just a simple zip file, flash and forget? Possible?

After searching there and here didnt help. So you have to be on Paranoid Android and on the system settings go to customization - Hybrid properties - swipe right and got to interface. scroll down to Global Color and check the ENABLE per app color. G back to Apps Which is Under Interface and find your launcher - press on it and there you go!!!!

You can't have this and a stock ROM. Android apps don't draw underneath the navigation bar. Custom firmware like paranoid android modify the launcher to draw underneath so transparent navigation bar actually shows something.

[REQUEST] Stock / Google Edition Lock Screen

Hi All,
Currently running ARHD 11.0 on my HTC One. I've deleted the HTC Lock Screen and now have the AOSP Lock Screen (see first attached pic).
Its not bad, but what I'm really looking for is the Lock Screen found on the Google Edition HTC One (see second attached pic). The difference is the bold hours and the ability to add widgets.
I know there probably isn't a quick fix, but any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

I know it has already been recommended, but in all honesty the Holo Locker Premium application is just amazing and well worth every penny. I tried the trial version with not much hope and I absolutely loved it. At first whenever I would wake it up, the HTC lockscreen would appear for a second and then the Holo lockscreen, so then I used TitaniumBackup to freeze the HTC Lockscreen and that doesn't happen anymore; of course if you're not rooted, that will be hard to achieve.
I realize that you want pattern unlock, but I guess you can't always get everything. You can delete the HTC Lockscreen apk (back it up first) from the system/app and you'll get the AOSP lockscreen but with only one button on the right (unlock) and no other choices, and also when someone calls, you'd have to unlock in order to see who it is (same thing with choosing to install AOSP Lockscreen on most ROMs like TrickDroid) which gets annoying.
I know it's not ideal since you won't get any security lock options, but in all honesty it's the best I have tried so far.
