I'll post a how to video this morning!
I'll also show off the new features

Really quick question. I'm running stock, the only modification is that I've applied chainfire's root. Do I need to flash back to stock to get this update? Or could I just run the update.zip?

Thank you for saving me the time to keep looking for this.
Updated from stock without issues...

download the file provided in OP to your SD.
power down the device
then access the stock recovery by pressing the vol +, home button, and then the power button at the same time. let go once the sprint flash screen appears. The stock recovery will appear
select "apply update from external storage" using the volume + and - buttons to highlight the option and the power button to choose that option,
highlight and choose the zip file you placed on the SD
the update will initiate and voila you're updated

Just did it. Worked like a charm. Took a little longer than normal to reboot. That's all. I applied the update from my external SD and no issues. Now to re-root!

i cant speak on re-root. I was never rooted to begin with but someone let me know how that goes or if its appropriate yet. im just glad to have "multi-window" and no longer a vibration from text while in-call

so your saying if you do this method and have root access you will loose root?

You have to be unrooted in the first place in order to use this method.

Yes I have the same question. In toolbox kit 2.0 is is specifically for the LJ1 build. Hoping I can get back rooted soon...

I was rooted using Chainfire's method. I had done nothing else to the phone. I updated using this zip and it worked just fine. I then had to reapply chainfires root. So far so good.

[work around] How to get skygo working on rooted ICS roms

This is a work around which will enable you to watch skygo on rooted ICS roms, this is not a perfect solution but if you don’t want to miss the F1 or whatever, it’ll do.
1. Download this tweaked skygo app http://dl.dropbox.com/u/10514900/skygo_test_0.1.2.apk
2. Find your original kernel on intratech’s thread
3. Extract the kernel.7z file you just downloaded until you get the zimage
4. Copy the zimage onto your sd card
5. Open cwm manager, select 'flash kernel' and then select the zimage you just extracted
6. Use temp root remover to hide root
7. Install the skygo app, and you should be able to watch any channel.
If the app hangs on loading 0% ……. 0/100 try clearing app cache and data. If that doesn’t work uninstall skygo and reinstall it and it will work.
You might want to back up your old kernel/zimage before you start so you can easily restore your old kernel.
Like I said it’s not pretty but it works.
Thanks man,
I know there's a sky go thread with well over 500 pages, couldn't be bothered keeping track of it, I'm on stock kernel anyway(LP7) so I just use the 'fixed' app and voodoo unroot. Works a charm.

Press back & reload it again or alternatively wait for about 30 seconds to a minute & it'll clear up.
If not your connection is shabby.
i'm using build 0.1.5 from the big sky go post on here with wanam.stock.LP7, LP7 stock kernel & rootkeeper works a charm.
I can only get Sky News to work using the standard ICS build & unroot, I have cleared the cache & re-installed the app, not working.
Any further ideas ?

I updated my kernel from Intratech's list & it works fine - I don't remember installing a custom kernel, maybe I did.
Very simple solution, thanks.
1) Thanks for kanging my workaround from the other topic
2) you no longer need to use a pure stock kernel, you can use any kernel that has ro.secure=1
e.g. Siyah Kernel or CF-Root (both of these kernels have had adb hacked too so you don't lose out by having ro.secure=1)
I'm guessing you have to have a subscription?? Lol

no, cm9 has another issue that I am failing to diagnose, no idea what the problem is but I can't work it out no matter how many hours I spent looking at logs.
This sky go modified app, works on my Galaxy S2 with android ICS 4.0.3 - never ever rooted and no custom ROM.

Try some different kernels. I couldn't get it to work with CF or Neak. Tried speedmod and it works fine with temp unroot.
EDIT: It was working fine yesterday but stays on the loading screen today!
EDIT 2: Ok, I've got it working again. I believe the problem was superuser. One of the versions of Voodoo OTA Rootkeeper required superuser to be installed (as opposed to supersu) and I believe when I uninstalled superuser again it left some traces which Voodoo wasn't hiding and skygo was seeing. I've done a full wipe and installed a fresh copy of Omega rom, then speedmod kernel, then restored everything with Titanium back up and its working again. Which is good since I've got 3 months of free Sky!
I noticed there is a new update for Sky Go and was wondering if anyone has "fixed" the new apk to remove the version checking yet.
can someone post intratech’s link, I cannot find it after I searched the forum?

[MOD] [JB4.1+][AOSP+OTA] Super PowerMenu | Reboot & Recovery | DIY Instructions Avail

[MOD] [JB4.1+][AOSP+OTA] Super PowerMenu | Reboot & Recovery | DIY Instructions Avail
INTRODUCTION
Hi everyone, so a while back I created the Enhanced Power Menu for ICS (right here) and now that Jelly Bean it out it's time to do it all over again.
This mod adds the reboot and reboot to recovery options to the standard power button menu in Android 4.1+ Jelly Bean.
FEATURES
Reboot from Power Menu
Reboot to recovery from Power Menu
[*]Long press Recovery on power menu to reboot to Bootloader! (4.1.1 only)
[*]OR: Long press Reboot on power menu to reboot to Recovery! (4.1.1 only)
SCREENSHOTS
First screenshot: Reboot & Recovery menu with (option) to Long Press Recovery for Bootloader in 4.1.1
Second screenshot: Reboot menu with Long Press Reboot for Recovery in 4.1.1

COMPATIBILITY
There are versions below for both Android 4.1 (the Google I/O dump) and Android 4.1.1 AOSP builds available below.
This will break any mods you've made to either framework-res.apk or android-policy.jar. You can check if these files are touched by other mod by inspecting the files that came with that mod.
If for any reason your ROM or mod are incompatible with the Enhanced Power Menu the likely result is a bootloop. If you're not familiar with adb in recovery then make sure you make a backup in recovery!
REQUESTS
None accepted sorry, there are too many mod variations out their to satisfy them all so I won't even try.

But can you write manual how to do it with full description of android.policy.jar editing? I'm porting some elements from framework-res.apk of modaco rom, and fully port android.policy.jar. It works, but I can't understand, how it works.

Well, the OP did say to install stock first before using this. So I'm assuming it is more of a patch than a full OTA.

It is a patch yes. Thats why the correct Stock is needed. The update will check the integrity of every file that it patches. Therefore you cannot use a custom rom as base. The same procedure have been done successfully on the international Galaxy S3.
Im guessing we loose root with this patch
This gives me a good reason to finally root again. I was happy with the latest ota lol

I am more than wiling to try this but have a few questions:
1. Is this an official (leaked) OTA developed by Samsung/T-Mobile for SGH-T999 or a port?
2. I have the STOCK T999UVALH2 but am rooted and have custom recovery. Do I have to unroot first or simply flash the zip in custom recovery?
3. I got my phone unlocked, not using an unlock code but another method (all I know about this method is that my phone says "Restricted Access Changes". I did not loose the unlock when I updated to T999UVALH2 via Kies. Is there any chance I may loose the unlock upon flashing the zip?

1. This is official OTA downloaded directly from Samsungs own OTA servers and is made for specifically for the SGH-T999
2. I guess it will work without unrooting. But Im not 100% sure. I mean, it's the same kind of OTA that is sent out to your phone eventually. The OTA contains a recovery, so your current one will be overwritten.
3. No idea regarding unlocking.
To be on the safe side, make a backup, flash stock, flash OTA.

Updated from stock rooted UVALH2. Clear data, cache, and dalvik cache and flashed in CWM. It took a little long to flash but everything worked. It really is 4.1.1 jellybean. However, it is not smooth whatsoever on the homescreen and app/widgets drwaers. Less smooth than ICS. Menus and the recent apps screen are smooth like they should be for project butter and smoother than ICS. I kept my root even after i flashed which surprised me.
Some changes...
-Access Google Now from Recent apps screen
-S Voice settings in the system settings menu
-Jellybean clock in drop down status bar/notification area
-5 app dock on the lockscreen
-2 different types of homescreens--basic and easy.
-New t-mobile bloatware
-Probably more I just havent seen yet

Hello all, this is an automated program (Windows only) that will enable Google Wallet on your Note 2 if you cannot get it to work the way listed above. I am releasing this with a disclaimer that this might not work for you. I tested it and it installed for me but I haven't been anywhere and actually tried to use this. Ropodope has tested it and it worked for him. I had a few other testers that this didn't work for, some it did. Honestly, I think it's user error. You have to follow directions exactly and not advance until you have fully completed the step. I would advise that you MAKE A NANDROID just in case something goes wrong.

One thing: You may get an error that the files cannot be pushed. This is because the kernel you're on isn't modded to remount system and is crippled by Samsung's adbd binary. Flash the appropriate kernel below. They have been modified with an AOSP adbd binary, unsecured, debuggable, mock locations allowed, init.d enabled.

I'm at the point where it's resetting but it's been at 98% for a few minutes now. Normal?

Sometimes it takes a while, I would recommend doing this over WiFi.
EDIT: Google Wallet won't even add an account for me right now. Not sure why. But I did test this before and it worked.
I do but get it. .What are we suppose to do. There is no instructions.

I'm actually restoring a back up because I lost my mobile network while it was attempting to add an acct. Phone rebooted, saw TWRP for a split sec and said cleaning cache and rebooted back to MacksRom from scratch but still no mobile network. I hope this restore works

I really don't understand why this is so complicated. Look in the downloads section. There is an app that walks you through the whole process...

I doubt that's related.
I don't doubt your work bro but after the script restarted the phone, the green check showed up in the status bar and the drop down said preparing network..even though I had 3G. I was on WiFi throughout the whole Google Wallet walkthrough. I toggled mobile data on/off and tried airplane but it would not go away. Then I did update profile and that is when the phone rebooted and did what I said above. I'm at a loss myself

Could be from the build.prop edit, but I would doubt it, as nothing network related is touched. I do get the preparing network on every boot though, even when not running this program.
Small update to 1.01, see post 2
I'll check it out. In the process of flashing stock deodexed with the boot.img you posted with the update. I'll report back.....
*EDIT* Now I can't even add my gmail acct in wallet cause it FC's when I attempt to add an acct. UgggH!

Start over, it will delete the apk and you can start over. If you're on my stock builds, the kernels are already modified for this.

So if we're using your lk8 stock rom we don't need to flash the kernel in the op?

Correct. People will know if you need to flash the modified boot.img because you will get an error in the first automated step about not being able to push the files needed.

[ROM][UNOFFICIAL] Omni + Floating Windows + Lockscreen Notifications + App Circle Bar

I added Floating Windows (resizable and movable), Lockscreen Notifications and App Circle Bar features to OmniROM and built for our Galaxy Tab (p1/l/n). I built from sources of 4th August. ROM is compatible with P1, P1L and P1N. Kernel is stock Omni kernel.
Download from here: http://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=23578570567723178
Installation:
Firstly, go to recovery mode and do factory reset. Then go to advanced and wipe "/system".
After wiping system, select install zip option and choose my zip. If your recovery is old, that is not a problem and you don't have to install a newer recovery, because while installing the ROM, the zip will also install latest version of TWRP. Then your device will reboot to TWRP automatically. After rebooting to TWRP, your device will continue installation. Then go to main menu of TWRP and install GApps (I use PA Mini Modular GApps). Voila, you installed the ROM.
So, how to enable Lockscreen Notifications or Floating Windows?
For enabling Lockscreen Notifications, go to Settings/Security/Lockscreen/Notifications and touch to "enable".
For enabling App Circle Bar and optional Floating Windows, go to Settings/More... and tick "App Circle Bar". Touch to "Included Apps" and add your favorite apps to App Circle Bar. And if you touch right top corner of your device, you will see App Circle Bar. Spin the bar and select an app to open, if you want to open an app in floating window, long press to app icon in app circle bar and select floating mode option. You can open infinite apps in floating window.

i believe its US model of P1000
I owned a tmobile T849.
Yes you can install this rom.
But you are in froyo, there is a high chance that your bootloader is locked.
T849 usually is locked.
You can follow overcome method, linked to at my signature.
The pdf document covers that.
Basically you need to root your froyo.
Then install a bootloader checker. If it is locked, it offers to patch it.
Once that is done, you then restock to GB stock save v5. Then install overcome kernel, which give you cwm5.
This is the point where you stop following the guide.
Use cwm to flash omni.

Actually I should clarify that I haven't tried this rom. I run the official Omnirom.
But T849 is just like p1 in every aspect except for the modem hardware and firmware.
