I need help. I have galaxy note II from Windmobile in Canada and I would like to find out if it is LTE capable. There is a sticker on the top of the phone that says 4G qualcomm.
Can somebody let me know or at least how to check that. The version that I have is SGH-T889V
THANKS
Seems like it is LTE capable:

You can check if yours is that version by going to settings > about > then model number.
I found this about your phone up in Canada.

Wondering if I should get a Galaxy Nexus 4G LTE from America since I want the the 32GB storage but the GSM version does not have 32GB only 16GB.
So does the 4G Galaxy Nexus work in Australia or should I wait for the Samsung Galaxy S III - Considering the Galaxy S range is usually a major step up from the Nexus before it i.e. Nexus S to the Galaxy S II. I am strongly considering it if I can't use a 4G phone in Australia and they are not going make a GSM version with 32GB storage.
Your thoughts please...
No it doesn't.

no;
1: LTE bands may not be compatiable
2. the VZW version uses CDMA; not GSM for voice/3G
3. the LTE is for data only on the GNexus; there are currently no Voice over LTE deployed that I know of yet
Like others above me have said no it will not work in Australia or any other country outside of the USA, the LTE is CDMA only, and for Verizon USA only , it might work outside USA on roaming but that's it, even some accessories might have issues like a case because the LTE is a bit thicker due to having a larger battery for the LTE.
Main Question
How do I get the HSPA+ working on my Galaxy Nexus (Yakju Tuna) here in Panamá, with Telefónica Movistar?
Question Details
Movistar has HSPA+ working here in Panamá, a friend of mine has his Galaxy S3 with the HSPA+ working correctly. My problem is that i got my Galaxy Nexus (GSM Global, Yakju) from Amazon, and have never been able to get the HSPA+ in my device. I am trapped in HSPA (3.5G)
Movistar is selling the Galaxy Nexus now, they say they do have HSPA+ (Here called 4G), however I haven't tested them myself. I tried changing the baseband to the exact same one they use(XXKK6, downloaded here); Didn't work. I had hopes for new Jellybean Baseband, didn't work either. I swapped my SIM with a new one; didn't work. Took the SIM from my HSPA+ friend on another carrier (Digicel); didn't work. Wiped it several times; didn't work.
I talked with my carrier as well. I have permission to use a speed of up to 5MB, the HSPA+ speed, but SpeedTest gives me a maximun of 1MB only.
Is there a way to get HSPA+ working here or am I screwed?
More Details
It seems here in Panamá a certain store with heavy influence is seelling a so called Galaxy Nexus II, model number i9250w. Have found nothing on the internet concerning this device. In my opinion, this could mean the Galaxy Nexus that works in my carrier is one of those Yajku derivates. They did the same thing for the Galaxy S2, selling a weird derivate called Galaxy S 4G.
Talked with my carrier's customer service. Told me nothing new
For a time changed my stock Baseband to the Baseband XXKK6, the same one they use on their display models. Obiously didn't work either.
Had in my hands one of the devices they have on display. They let me play with it, but I couldn't get the device name, frequecy used or anything. The only thing that looks different form my Device is the Build Number, an old version of stock ICS.
Phone details
ROM: Android 4.1.1 JellyBean Stock
Build Number: JRO03C
Current Baseband: I9250XXLK1
Mobile Network Type (Maximun I get): HSDPA:8
Model: Yakju (GSM International)
Device: Maguro
Anyone knows anything I haven't tried?

I'll try again, the problem has to be Movistar. I have a friend with +Movil.

Exactly my thoughts.
It does have a different model number, however. What I thought was that it refers top a regional variant, like the Sprint/Tellus Galaxy Nexus. But it also could mean a typo...

When I was in Panama, I used +Móvil and managed to get 3-4mbps speeds which are decent.

Hi all,
I have a question. I was looking at gsmarena.com for the note 2's specs and noticed that the LTE version (N7105) has LTE for 700MHz and 2100MHz.
My question is will this work on the Rogers network here in Canada? (Toronto specifically)
From what I've been reading Rogers offers LTE on the 1700/2100 bands. Since the Note 2 (N7105) has the 2100MHz does it mean it'll work or will it need both 1700 AND 2100 to work?

Anyone?

It will work with one band but you can expect weaker signal and may not work well inside buildings. Normally if both bands are available it will switch to whichever has the better signal. With only one band its unable to do that.
I would recommend waiting for the Rogers note2 if you really want LTE.

the n7105 should work with rogers as it has the same lte specs as the samsung s3 i747
I try to use a GT-N7100 with Rogers.
The Note II work perfectly except one problem: I can't make a call. Rogers technician keep saying my phone is not unlocked for Rogers Canada. The data portion work correctly at 3G, and even SMS can be sent correctly, but no call can be made by the GT-N7100.
Anyone ever see such a behaviour?
Update:
I'M sorry, this technician has mislead me for 3 days assuring me that my phone was not unlocked.
The test he made finally was with a micro-sim that where valid but not having any more money on it to permit normal call.
That's stupid.
Just received a galaxy note 2 over seas in usa from china? it came from a site called aliexpress I have a family modile pack sim card and it receives and calls. but my data, 3g, & 4g do not show any signs of working. what are my steps to get my data and be able to surf the internet mobily again like i did with my samsung galaxy s1 from t-mobile.
also the galaxy note 2 i recieved says invalid IMEI
here is the info for it.

ANDROID version - 4.1.9XXLIH
Kernel version [email protected] #1 SMP PREEMPT
BaseBand Version - N7102
build number -JRO03c N7102XXALIH
any help to make this compatible with USA walmart t-mobile access for internet would be great also.
extra info when searching for networks it shows 2g att and 2 g tmobile, if this help any one with my and possibly many others troubles.
You may have to call your provider to change your data plan to fit what the phone requires
PS:this phone will never work on T-Mobile's 3G or 4G network but it will work on 2G

No that wouldn't be fine!
The most likely cause of your issue is that your phone doesn't have an APN set up for your network. Doing this should at least get your data working.
However, as far as an aware, the N7102 does not support TMo's AWS bands which means at best you'll get EDGE and not 3G.
If we were talking about an international N7100, I'd also add a point about getting 3G on 1900MHz if TMo had refarmed the spectrum for 3G in your area, but since it is a Duo, I don't know if this supports 1900MHz.
Do a search for N7102 and you'll find an entire thread about the N7102 in the US.

Dave

Hi all,
While I was deployed in Afghanistan I purchased a Note 2 GT-N700 from an Italian PX. Used it over there and worked great. Come back to the States last week and Verizon, my carrier, says I can't use it here because they don't have that IMEI number. Tried putting my active Verizon mini SIM in it from my GS4 and nothing.
Can I salvage this situation? I really like the bigger Note 2. Can I root or something?
Thanks in advance.
Verizon is CDMA. 100% not going to work.

Thanks; so it'd only work with ATT or TMobile SIM cards?
2G only for T-Mo, some 3G for ATT, no LTE on either. N7100 is not well suited to use in North America, better to sell it & pick up the VZW variant (if you can get past the branding on the home button).
