AT&t APN settings for international note 2 - Galaxy Note II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Anyone have APN settings for international version? I just bought my unlocked note 2 in Germany and have pretty sketchy data.
If you have solid hspa+ coverage please post you APN settings!!!
Thanks in advance!

Mine is coming from Newegg...would be nice to have the 'best' APN settings for solid data speed on AT&T...

Use these, The Default APN is wap.cingular and which is for OLDER phones
Use the PTA APN
Name: AT&T LTE
APN: pta
MMS protocol: WAP 2.0
MCC: 310
MNC: 410
APN type: default,agps,supl,hipri,internet
And go to your Wap.cingular default APN and scroll to the bottom and select MMS under type

Doesn't work .. I think that only works for those that upgraded to the new LTE plans

Oh so your using MediaNet? Then I think you HAVE to use wap.cingular.
I`m Grandfathered on Unlimited data under LTE and PTA works just fine on my International Note and International Note 2

you could try the Note I apn settings....

They could try the phone APN, But idk if that works if theyre on Medianet

I was reading that cm10 has a complete apn list. If someone has had good results then the could check their existing settings and part then here. Att specific would be cool.

Unlocked the T-mobile phone to work on AT&T, no data usage. HELP!

I got a Samsung Galaxy SII T989 new, for free, off of my uncle who gets phones for promotional purposes. It's a T-mobile phone, and I'm on AT&T. I paid for an unlock code and successfully unlocked my phone for use on AT&T. I can text, call, and use WiFi, but can't get the data to work. (I also can't send or receive MMS messages, not sure if it's related. HELP!

couple things have you asked on the AT&T forum and have you done a google search on how to get your Tmobile phone to work on AT&T?
next is have you changed or rather added the new apn? if any of this is an issue for you I would say your best bet is to trade the phone on craigslist for someone with the skyrocket.
since the two phones are interchangeable as far as roms go I would suspect with a little more digging you will find your answer... check here

^ +1 apn should do the trick, pretty typical for unlocked phones to not have the apns on the sim. Manual programming is going to be fun if you are new to android
Thank you!
Thanks so much! I did that, turned on packet data, and it seems to be working now. Again, thank you so much for your help, muchly appreciated!

Funny thing is I already made a APN list for everyone a while ago. And this particular one your referring to. If I'm not mistaken WISH777, posted this same one, or something very similar long time AGO!!

FYI : speed depends on your network, where you are at the time, area, city. Are you close to a tower. Those all come into play when checking speed!!

Sure did LAST YEAR....thats when it wasn't popular as it's everywhere now...lol worked real nice back then too...I hit almost 100 likes it worked for a lot of people back then Probably had something to do with the balance of them and the modems at the time..hipri seems to have a impact as it's telling the network hipri = high priority
I never heard of that one and type up above called mas?...wth is that?
Most of the apn types I found last year I know a tech thru AT&T and he taught me most of those and a explanation of what each one does..as he used the ones I posted. ..so I just shared the knowledge to the family here..

Just use "phone" instead of "pta"
I'm on dicksteele's ROM and I can't modify or delete the default APN. Creating a new APN and enabling it did not do anything since it resorted to the default APN. I've tried deleting the APN config file out of system/etc and the APN apps don't work with 4.3. Is there any way to get rid of the default APN so I can try the one wish came up with or is this APN method so old that the benefits are no longer existent?
Thanks,

Sqlite editor pro
If your rooted you can use sqlite editor to go into system files an delete your default apn's or once you find the apn change the vaule under default from 1 meaning its the active default apn to 0.....when you get app only paid pro version can change apns.....look around enough on this site you can find it free or google the apk cracked ones that work everywhere........to locate your apn you have to have a root explorer installed.....run sqlite....click file at top after you grant it super user permission.........follow.....data/data/com.android.providers.telephony/databases/telephon.db/carriers......apns are all listed there.

[Q] AT&T LTE APN issues

I recently put CM 10, and most recently,CM 11,on my P930.
One thing I can't get to work is the mobile data connection; the best it can do it seem is 3G (HSPA)
I recall the defaults in CM 10 getting HSPA+ briefly, but that was short lived.
One suspicion I have is the SIM card; this phone went missing a few months ago, so I bought a used Iphone 3GS to fill in, and I had to get a fresh SIM. Once I found the P930, I then got to rooting and modding it ( I was running it vanilla before it went missing); once I got CM 10 I then moved over the SIM. Would the fact that I used a non-LTE phone first on that particular SIM card cause this to happen? Or was I given a non-LTE SIM of some sort?
Some other things to note:
- pta APN's don't seem to work at all. I read that was axed awhile back; and my mom's Pantech Burst just has the phone APN (but it gets LTE just fine)
- phone APN's do work, up to HSPA.
Finding a clear answer on up to what the up-to-date correct APN settings for ATT is as clear as mud.... I saw pretty much 20 different combinations, and I've had varied luck on getting them to work. Suggested APN settings would really be appreciated, along with any clues on whether I need a fresh SIM or not.
A non LTE Sim card can affect ur LTE connection.

if you got a new sim a few months ago, the sim is not the issue. ATT has been issueing LTE sims for a little over a year now. A good way to tell is looking for a "24","25","27" in the middle of the iccid (sim number starting with 8091).
Double check your apns and also, make sure your data plan is set back up for the Nitro. If you still have an Iphone data plan for the 3GS, then you will need to call or go online and change your data plan back to the smartphone with lte plan for the p930.

They never changed my plan, it was set for the Nitro the whole time (since it wasn't for sure lost for good). I verified it the other day.
The sim has a 27 in the middle.
I've tried messing with the APN settings like crazy... but here's the one APN I have set (since the pta seems obsolete and didn't work):
(if not listed, it's unset)
Code:
Name: ATT Phone
APN: phone
MMSC: (removed to please anti-spam, texting does work)
MMS proxy: (see above)
MMS port: 80
MCC: 310

Authentication type: none
APN type: default,supl,mms,hipri,dun
APN protocol: IVP4/IVP6
APN roaming protocol: IPv4/IPV6

Any of those look off?

On CM11, mine is definitely showing:
ATT LTE
pta
And preferred network type "4G (recommended)". It is working fine on LTE where there is actually support (not near my house, but in the city).

Here, after looking all over and trying different apn info, this is the one that enables the lte, mms, and so far everything. Credits to this user http://forum.xda-developers.com/member.php?u=2102351

I've already tried the T-Mobile internet and mms apn and the T-Mobile US LTE. They enabled the LTE, but couldn't download or send mms. So far that one above has worked so far. Been using it for about two hours now. Will give an update. Anyone else that sees this, I'm wondering if its possible to "rewrite" my lg g3d850 as a lg g3d851 so i can install tmobile's stock firmware on my unlocked at&t lg g3 and be able to run the phone as if it was a tmobile lg g3, ie, wifi calling, tethering, etc. I got the tethering working through the root and edit values method, just want to know if there's a way to rewrite the entire phone
One thing to consider for people reading this thread is that the AT&T version will not work for free wifi calling on the t-mobile network even with the proper APN settings. I was about to buy a brand new AT&T variant and unlock it for tmobile. But for a little more money I can buy a brand new T Mobile version that will not need to be unlocked and will work with wifi calling which is a big plus because I only have 100 minutes on my $30 a month plan
Sent from my LG-D415 using XDA Free mobile app
tethering?
Would you be generous enough to share how you got your tmobile tethering working on the att g3? I've tried all I can think of and nothing
I have a T-Mobile LG G# on AT&T. I was not getting mms and the issue was that the APN type had spaces. I don't know how the AT&T support didn't catch that on the hour long call where they remoted into my device but note below:
My setting was
APN type: default, mms, supl, hipri, fota
I removed the spaces to match the settings below:
APN type: default,mms,supl,hipri
I know have working MMS.
Hope this helps anyone coming from T-mobile to AT&T but I'm sure it applies to any APN type setting.
Cheers.
