I found these over in the AT&T Galaxy Note section. I thought I would repost them here seeing as how every code I've tried so far works on my GS3. I have only tried a few of them. If you find some that don't work, let me know & I'll make an edit. Here's the OP.

Big thanks to KevHuff for putting this list together.

I've tried a random sampling of these codes and most of them don't work for me. Maybe you should sit down and test them all, instead of using members as guinea pigs.

I've tried several of these as well in the network section and the test section and they don't work

Which ones did you try? I think that they are pretty standard for all Samaung GSMs.

Are you getting a connection problem or invalid mmi code???

Here is a link to a similar thread on our (TMobile) side by Joederp.
Just be careful because some of these codes will work on SGH-I747 (ATT SGS3) but not on SGH-T999 (TMo SGS3), yes on N-7000 (Note1) but not on SCH-I535 (VZW SGS3). Then there are the Sammy codes that work on all variants.
With the good there is the bad too. There are some very real dangers of punching in the wrong codes i.e. wiping your Internal SD, Soft/Hard Brick, anything really. And some survive boot and some do not, so there is that too.
I had a report about this thread and wanted to make sure that the above was known.

I posted something similar in another thread. I found most of them to work but since there's so many I couldn't test them all. Don't know if the lists are the same.

Is there any reason none of these codes are working on my Galaxy S3? I came here trying to fix a usb issue I'm having but any code that I type in I just get "Connection problem or invalid MMI code."

I think a lot of those are for the international version. Also don't forget to use the stock dialer. And you have yo be on a touch wiz ROM.

I have a domestic GS3 and the codes I tried work fine.

A whole bunch of these codes do not work for me either. I have an i747m running 4.1.1 stock.
If I recall correctly, more codes worked on 4.0.4.
Does anyone have any thoughts as to why this is happening?

Thanks for the feedback. Guess I'll try a touchwhiz rom. My phone wont connect to any computer any longer. Charges without issue but not data. Was hoping to use some of the USB codes to try and fix it.

Just throwing this out there, I'm not sure most the codes will work unless you are on a stock rom ... at least in my experiance. In the past [for my captivate and skyrocket] i noticed when I changed roms [cappy i ran synergy, skyrocket ran cm9] only one or two codes would work.
i didn't try any codes prior to switching my s3 to cm10 ... but i can't get any to work on my s3 now ...

Useful numbers...thanks.

Could be a corrupted driver or a bad cable. Start by trying to update the driver first and then see if a new stock s3 cable will work.

[Q] After root, SMS broken

After rooting my phone with the toolkit, SMS seems to be broken. Ive tried updating the SMSC but that is not working and I get a refresh error and update error after typing in the new SMSC
Im using this code from the CM thread:
Sprint: +17044100000 = 07917140140000F0
Is there anyone who can help as I can't seem to get my head around this
Thanks in advance
you need to put your sim in another phone that allows you to change MSC (gnex does not), trying to set SMSC from 4636 menu just make it even more broken...

How much from that code did you enter?
The numbers after the = sign is what you should put in.

The menu work, I did it once..after put the correct number, press update (the one on the right) and u should able to send SMS again (and don't try to press update or refresh again ,or it will reset again)
call ur operator to see what the correct number, then convert it

called sprint to get the correct number, they said there was a small service outage causing my phone to not send sms messages. seemed weird to me since 3g and phone calls were working fine. anyway problem seems to be fixed as of this morning so i guess consider this one closed. thanks for the help

[REF][INFO] Galaxy S3 SGH-T999 stock supported USSD codes

If you post them I will update this with a list of all the ones that work.
Some codes from i9300 do not work. Don't post any not tested or not marked as dangerous.
Most of the Android secret codes only work on Samsung stock rom, the dialer recognizes the
code when entered and you don't have to hit send. Codes work on ICS and JB dialers, but
most are not built into CM10 or AOSP
(if you erased any of the stock /system/app/*test*.apk obviously they won't launch)
[UPDATE -- There is some hysteria on the interwebs about exploits that can reset your S3.
All that is happening is certain tel: links in a browser or NFC are loading numbers into the dialer
for you. When any Android Secret code listed below is entered into the dialer it launches
the specific .apk or function (like reboot or even factory reset). You can install a 3rd party
dialer and set that as the default and avoid this. The codes do nothing in most non-stock
dialers. They also are present on almost every phone, not just S3]

Tested Working Dialer Codes
Sorry I didn't get these posted last night....just couldnt keep my eyes open any longer!
Hey Joe, Hope you dont mind a quick correction. If I understand this stuff correctly, these are not USSD codes (USSD is in your title). USSD (Unstructured Supplementary Service Data) Codes are ones which communicate with the carriers network/computers. These are different as they communicate with the device hardware and software (mostly hardware related though). A simple example of a USSD code would be #646# to check your minute usage, or #225# to check your current balance. Also with the USSD codes you have to press the call button, with these you only have to enter the code, and if it is correct and enabled, it will execute automatically.
I have seen these referred to as Hidden Codes, Secret Codes, AOD (I think thats what I saw somewhere). I generally just call them Dialer Codes. Also, as per my understanding, there are Android codes and Manufacturer codes. So some of them are built into Android itself, while others are built into the mods made by the manufacturer.
Most of that is from memory, so if I made a mistake or jumbled anything up, please do let me know! I think Ive got it right though!
Note that Samsung disabled some of these in different builds, so while some may work on UVALEM, they may not work on UVALH2 or UVDLI8. (Different builds may have different codes disabled/enabled, but I have not been making a point to test them on each release)
I'll be adding these to one of my threads at some point as well.
The following codes have been tested and confirmed working on UVALI5. I have a lot more but have not had a chance to test them all yet, and some I have tested and are not currently working for me on my current build, so I am leaving those off as well. (also as op requested, I will only post the ones that should be safe to use. Some codes will wipe your data or have unwanted results. I am leaving those off of this list)
Unless otherwise stated, enter codes from the dialer like this: *#code#
0* --- LCD Test (Great Suite of Tools)
06 --- IMEI
0011 --- Service Mode (Press Menu for more options)
0228 --- Battery Status
0283 --- Loopback Test
0514 --- SysDump (System Dumps, logs, etc)
0782 --- Real Time Clock time read
0842 --- Vibration Test
2663 --- TouchScreen FW Update
7284 --- Phone Utility (USB Settings)
7353 --- Self Test (Menu of 12 tests to use)
9999 --- SW Versions (AP, CP, CSC, FTA SW)
7594 --- Factory Mode (Enable Long-press on end call to shutdown)
8888 --- Service Mode (Read FTA hw version)
232338 --- WlanMacAddress (Enable/Disable WiFi Powersave Mode)
7412365 --- CameraFirmware Standard (Front/Rear Cam FW version check and write)
7465625 --- Personalization (Lock Status)
22558463 --- Reset Total Call Time
34971539 --- CameraFirmware Standard (Same, but with different options)
197328640 --- Service Mode (Debugging, Testing. Use menu > back to go back in menus)
7328735824 --- Lot ID (Null)
767*2878 --- Reset QWERTY Slide-Out Counter
12580*369 --- Main Version (AP, CP, CSC, RF cal, HW Rev)
3282*727336* --- System and Storage Information
273283*255*3282* --- Adjust/Fill Message, Contact, Call Log, etc Limits
*#*#4636#*#* --- Testing (Device Info plus some tests)
I have quite a few more. But have not tested for function or if they even work yet (or they didn't meet OP req.) Ill add more when I do, but figured I'd go ahead and share what I have already.
As I said before, Samsung disabled different codes in different builds. Ive already run across a few where they did not work but I am quite sure I remember them working before on a different build! YMMV.
As posted by another,,,

So on CM10 it doesn't launch most of these and you have to hit send. It is built into the system, like most codes just launch a specific apk.
The dialer says generically ussd, but you are right android secret code is correct.
Anyways the stock rom disabled many previous common codes.
I'd imagine the majority of codes available in CM are the ones built in to the Android OS prior to manufacturers adding their stuff.
I believe most that I listed are Sammy specific...when I dive into more of these ill try to specify which are which.

Thanks, I didn't realize that is just built into the phone dialer to launch apk.
All of these codes work on JB. And the main 0* testing app is in Lcdtest.apk
Most of the same tests are in *#7353# which I believe is secFactoryTest.apk

I tested some more and added them to the list. Also included GSM codes.
Finally, we have two NVpasswords, that is used for uploading or dumping NVram, AFAIK. They are:

From here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=26878927&postcount=4 it would be nice to dex2jar the T999 Sec RIL to get the NV password, (the i9300 did not work) because the *#745# RIL dump menu has some neat features to save NV or EFS to sdcard.

Each code has a function. You can "do" what the functions permit. I'm not going to break down every code. Someone else can take that time if they want. Try the codes out and test yourself. If you see something you are unsure of.. don't mess with it. But every code is safe as long as you don't click thru and hit "yes" to some of them.
The hidden menu works on my bell optimus G by changing
3845#*970#
to
3845#*973#

If not you can use the SWITCHIT - 4G LTE TOGGLE app (available in the app store). That's what I used when my original Sprint LGOG had issues staying connected to 4G. I would force it.

Thanks for the reply.
Yes, I used this method as well. However after the OTA update ls970-ZVC, the method is blocked?
Any ideas?

Really. I'll have to try it myself. I've updated but haven't used the app yet since updating. Not sure if there are dialer codes to accomplish the same thing.
But you know, for me at least, the update improved radio performance. I'm even able to get a steady (3 bars) 4G connection indoors at work when I wasn't able to before.
Code to find SPC
For those of you who want to find your SPC without having to download any programs, just enter this code.
##443336772#
I know I didn't have to enter my SPC to enter the $$DIAG$ code, but now that I updated to ZVC I must enter it. Here is a simple way for you to find your code.
will any of these help me fix the encryption problem the soft-bricked LG optimus G e970s have? (says PW not working even though i'm sure it's the right one). Phone is encrypted won't let me get in.

There is. I pulled a bunch of them from decompiled phone/settings apk files over the weekend. Most of them did nothing though. I'll try to remember to post them tonight.
I appreciate it. Would also be interesred in which files/ apk's had the codes in them also.
Was a sim unlock solution reached for the S3? I have as going to start my work on it in a similar fashion to the Sensation. Unless the s3 had it done rhen I would look how it was achieved

These are all of the codes I found. I cannot remember where I found them at the moment and I don't have my phone with me to check. I'll post again if I remember where I found the codes. Of all the codes listed in the file, only some of them worked.

Silly question, but..
What would you use any of these for? The only one I saw referenced was the SIM unlock.. but the others? Far beyond me.

Well, SIM unlock was achieved from these codes for 1. Reset, program etc. Don't worry, you will probably NEVER use any of these.
Videotron Specific code
Here is one, that is specifically for videotron's SGH-M919V , that is one to change the amount of seconds before the voicemail answers. It will most likely not work on any other carriers.
**61*+15144242302*11*xx#
xx = time in seconds between 05 and 30 seconds. (Sadly , you cannot make it longer than 30 sec for videotron)
The + really is part of the code , hold down the 0 key to get the +.
The phone says this :
MMI code started.
Call forwarding
when no reply
Registration was successfull.
If you try 31 or higher as the time in seconds, you get the following message :
Call forwarding
Connection problem or invalid
MMI code.
when no reply for All Speech
Services
It would of been nice to have more than 30 seconds to answer.

The default answer time is 30 seconds. Overall its a pretty useless mmi code
But i just realised that the number is the one of the mailbox service. It appears under the New Voicemail notification.
So,
**61*+yyyyyyyyyyy*11*xx#
Where:
yyyyyyyyyyy = the 11 digit phone number of your voicemail (includes the 1 before area code).
xx = time in seconds between 05 and 30.

Do you please have the code to check network status (locked/unlocked) ?

[Q] "Unknown" and "Mobile Network Not Avaliable" Errors

Hello, I am new here but have intermediate experience with devices.
Alright time to throw everyone for a loop lol, hopefully someone can help me out.
Here is my problem:
My phone is not connected to a network.
Here is what I have:
Samsung Galaxy S III with Metro PCS (NOT rooted, and with latest PRL and software updates)
What happened:
I woke up yesterday to find my phone not on Metros network, and not on a partner network. My 4G still works though, I can access internet but just can not call/txt or receive either.
In Settings > About Device > Status, here are some of the satus'...
Network: Searching for Service
Signal Strength: -93dBm 47asu
Mobile Network Type: LTE:14
Service State: Out of Service
Roaming: Not Roaming
My Phone Number: Unknown
Min: Unknown
PRL Version: 0
Things I've Done So Far:
Contacted Metro through phone support and Facebook support, neither could help fix the problem.
Took my phone into a Metro store and they wont honor a repair since my screen has a hairline crack in the screen. (which I will also say, they noted that already on my account...)
I've already went to *#22745927 and enabled the hidden menu multiple times (cause it disables with each restart) and I've went to **772 to view my MDN and MSID (MIN) and the MDN shows nothing and MSID has a 10 digit number (that's not the right number for my account), so I tried to edit them to the numbers that I know are correct and after I hit done, the phone restarts but then when it comes back on, nothings changed, and when viewing **772 again, the numbers don't save in the fields.
I know *#197328640# lets you access the service menu, but I don't really feel like touching any of that and making things worse (unless someone knows how to fix this issue through the service menu then ill do it)
Now that my long winded speech is done, its your turn to try and solve this dilemma and help me out please
I hope this is the right section to post in, sorry if it is not.
Thanks in advance to any help ^^ if anyone's got any other questions, ill try to answer them best as I can.

Did you IMEI change? Check if it's 004999010640000
1.) Wrong forum. You have a US Version of the S3. Not the international... Ask a mod to move it.
2.) Don't quote the WHOLE OP. Especially if you're the first flipping person to reply!

I'll bump it once more, since its now been moved to the correct forum.
The IMEI question is still relevant, is it intact? But from what your saying it sounds like you have the old metro s3 model, meaning it's a cdma device not gsm like ours. You probably need to be in Sprints forum as their fixes for this kind of problem will likely be different than ours. I can already tell your dialer codes are different....

First of all thanks for posting
and the IMEI is fine and is there.
I got the GS3 from Metro the first day it came out.
Ok, it's probably the SCH-R530? model. Since T-Mobile bought metro they now have the SGH-T999N. The original one for them was a variant of Sprints if I remember right.
I'd just copy your OP here into a new thread there. They'll probably be better able to help than most people here.
