modify these tweaks into build.prop to fix the following problems:
Lock Screen Lag/Delay
debug.performance.tuning=1
video.accelerate.hw=1
Crashes on video calling apps like Tango or Skype
debug.composition.type=gpu
noobs:
1_ download Root Explorer
2_ open app and scroll down to System
3_ long press build.prop and open with Text Editor
4_ insert fixes under #tweaks or #ADDITIONAL_BUILD_PROPERTIES
5_reboot
further notes
-works with AOKP and CM10
- settings>dev options> animation scale .5x (all 3)
- debug.composition.type= is already in there just edit.

I honestly don't know. I changed it and liked it, I prefer a
quick phone over cute animations. The change to .5x isn't
necessary to fix the lag it just adds to the overall quickness,
so if someone doesn't like it they can choose an
animation speed of their preference.
Does this change the actual ui speeds? Or just animations?

Going to have to back track a little. I noticed if the phone sits for a while, let's say twenty minutes, the lock screen delay comes back occasionally. The delay does happen far less though.
This tweak worked for me as far as the screen on lag went. Although I had to add the lines myself to AOKP build 5 as they weren't included. Used jrummys build.prop editor.

Hey Guys!
Spent a bit of time this arvo playing with the apk files from the 4.2 leak and decided to have a shot at backporting the launcher to work with Jelly Bean.
Pretty much all that is changed is a couple of strings which are obviously using new 4.2 things (but seem to be irrelevant to the launcher's functioning - stuff like accessibility levels I think they were), and changed the target API so it will work on 4.1.
It can be downloaded here:
http://d-h.st/hRk
Not sure what's new, but to me at least it seems a fair bit snappier at least compared to nova and apex.
I installed it like a normal app and it worked fine, but if you have the stock aosp launcher installed you may want to uninstall it.
Cheers,
hobo

That feature has got nothing to do with the launcher. It's the notifications panel, which is related with systemUI.apk.

I do notice the lag from the 4.1 launcher is gone. The lag where say you're closing an app/window and it shows the closing animation and you change screens there would be a huge stutter. Now when I do that there is no lag at all.

Hello people,i found some interesting build prop tweaks that will make ics ui less laggy....ecpecially have you ever noticed the lag of settings app?it kills me when i open settings menu
anyway more action less words
#requires:
-Hands,fingers,brain
-Xperia s ,acro s and ion
-root
-root explorer or anything similar explorer that can edit system files
#step 1
open root explorer,go to /system ,mount it r/w and then longpress on build.prop and press *open in text editor*
#step 2
add those lines at the end of the file-text(please backup first):
persist.sys.ui.hw=1
ro.vold.umsdirtyratio=20
ro.wmt.blcr.enable=0
added tweaks(thanks should go on mrsatan[3rd tweak and 4th tweak number] and and on one random guy at google):
ro.max.fling_velocity=12000
ro.min.fling_velocity=8000
view.scroll_friction=10
windowsmgr.max_events_per_sec=280
ro.min_pointer_dur=8
ro.telephony.call_ring.delay=0
ring.delay=0
press menu button and then press save and exit
mount r/o
#step 3
reboot your phone (if someone asks me what is reboot i will shoot his head)
#step 4
post a comment and tell if it is working or not and thank me if you consider that i helped you
#step 5

Normally.. I did the same of the post, with solid explorer i opened the build.prop and paste these lines at the end and saved. Then I rebooted and now the ui is very smoother. And there's other fix that I loved, the mod eliminated boring delay to keypad to calls.
Make sure to save the file before reboot

Normally.. I did the same of the post, with solid explorer i opened the build.prop and paste these lines at the end and saved. Then I rebooted and now the ui is very smoother. And there's other fix that I loved, the mod eliminated boring delay to keypad to calls.
Make sure to save the file before reboot
Good luck

You know guys how to remove the lag in the settings and some other apps as well? Go to settings, scroll through the bottom, choose "Developer options", and check "Force GPU Rendering". I know it's not a new thing, but not everybody knows this
I'm an XZXperience 2 ROM user btw. Unlocked boatloader also.

This is mostly done by invisiblek. I am building and maintaining the post on XDA. I am not responsible if you brick your phone. CM12 is very early stages and YES it will have bugs!! We are working on getting these fixed. I cannot look in to issues unless you provide me with a log.
This is NOT a port! This is built directly from CM source.
Thanks:

Booting now. No issues with install.
[Edit] Booted and running great! Not a fan of the current DPI so I will be changing that but love it! No need to reflash for me until NFC works. All else works for me.

Edit the build.prop then reboot. I'm going with 640 dpi
[Edit] if you haven't already you'll need to flash SuperSU 2.23 beta. Them I downloaded Build Prop Editor in the Play Store and changed the LCD Density to 640.

You shouldn't need to. SuperUser is baked in normal CM style.
This is awesome!
Though my phone says safe mode on it.

Standard DPI - G3 ships with 640 DPI. This rom is currently set at 480. If you want the standard, edit your build.prop and change ro.sf.lcd_density=480 and change it to ro.sf.lcd_density=640 Then save and reboot.

Hold volume down + power, when see lg logo let go of power and quickly press again and hold, you'll be sent to a screen about doing a factory reset, press yes, press again. Congratulations you're in recovery and don't worry it doesnt wipe your phone.
DPI at 540 looks pretty good
Wow this is actually smoother than the other cm because of the updated build r5 or 6 or whatever. Amazing!!!

Is it considered a bug that while Bluetooth works Bluetooth Low Energy does not work? For example anybody with a Fitbit cannot sync a Fitbit to the phone.
