CM9 or AOKP. The links are in the development section for your respective device.
ICSourcery.

Just make a nandroid backup of your stock ROM and try as many as you want. That's what I did with my Sprint GNex a few weekends ago since I wasn't 100% sure what I was looking for. You can always restore back to stock should you not like a ROM for any reason.
I decided on AOKP b37 and Franco Milestone 3 (now running Milestone 4)--this setup has been flawless for me with no crashes or hangs at all. In addition to my stock nandroid backup I also have four backups of other ROMs as well, should I want to try out the different functionality each one offers.
Rascream and liquid smooth are probably the two best roms.
Rascream doesn't have many options but is built from aosp and is the fastest rom out there and liquid has more options and is pretty smooth.
Thanks guys

What's The Best Verizon Galaxy Nexus JB ROM

I just got my Nexus 7 in the mail on Tuesday and I love it and I was thinking about switching Roms on my galaxy nexus and I had jellybean roms on my mind to switch to since I'm so used to it from the Nexus 7 and I wanted to know whats the best one out by far thanks

Just try them and see which you like. You're going to get responses from someone on every single ROM... There's no perfect or best ROM out there. Its all personal taste.
U right I just wanted to know what is the top preferred one b4 I start running through them all

I heard good things about Bugless Beast and have been very happy.
Only one I tried and have no reason to switch.

I have been using MMuzzy's rom for months now without any problems, its rock solid.

Paranoid android.
Or just stock 4.2.2 but I've been running jellybro lately and it's right up there.

There is no real point in these 'best rom threads', as mentioned before, it's based on opinion. Some will like X rom, some will like Y. Some won't like any... it's just a matter of searching the development sections (AND NOT POSTING THIS THERE!!) and deciding on what you feel you'd like. Some include certain features that others don't. Lets bare that in mind

Tounchwiz

Just asking is there a jb Rom with tounchwiz in the Rom?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
Sorry, gotta say it, but Tounchwiz?
TOUCHWIZ.
You won't find it anywhere.
Most people who are on the Nexus cannot stand OEM skins.
Also, no JB with Touchwiz ROMs except maybe on the SGS3 but I'm not even sure, I doubt it.
Thanks for that helpful information .

No, official touchwiz phones haven't even gotten jelly bean.

Nexus devices are then only ones with Jelly Bean. Even the S3 doesn't have it yet.

This might resemble what you want.

I recommend you get a Galaxy S3 if you like TouchWiz. Nexus devices use pure Android OS without the bloats.
This custom TW Launcher only work for Gingerbread for now, but you can follow its progress to see if it gets support for new version: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1061883
Also you can download Cyanogenmod TouchWiz theme: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.thomassafca.theme.touchwiz&feature=search_result
sense, touchwiz, motoblur all unnecessary junk. Wish more manufacturers would use vanilla android, but that's why I got a nexus.

Thats true!
i find it ironic that ppl with touchwiz devices cant wait to flash aosp roms..and you a nexus user wants touchwiz. well to each their own.
i think there is a s3 add on that gives makes your phone like the s3 with touchwiz..you might wanna give that a try

[Q] What's the best VZW 4.2 Rom?

Hey guys I'm a Nexus retread. Just wondering what the VZ JB 4.2 rom is. Thanks!
Prepare yourself for the flames!

At least from XDA? mROM 3.2 if you want the closest stock ROM without any mods. (Which I'm personally running)
MMUzzy's Jelly Bean is my next choice, stock feel with some extra additions thrown into the mix.

This is answered the same every time it's asked. Try several and see what works best for YOU. Everyone doesn't want the same features in a ROM. Some want stock and others want customization. Read the forums look at the screen shots and flash whatever peaks your interest. If you don't like it flash something else. Just be sure you make a backup just in case something wonky happens.
As for a suggestion, I am currently on Xylon V11+Zen kernel V12.

New nexus owner

Ordered a nexus today and was checking out the forums over here, little research on what is needed to load up ROMs and what ROMS were out there, so many choose from I can't read them all. What's a few I should check out. I like to be able to them the hell out of the ROMs.
I feel like I hit the ROM mother load, no device I have had has this much developer support. Nice upgrade from the thunderbolt

Welcome, it depends on which device you have. Seeing you had a Tbolt like myself, I'm guessing Verizon. The Verizon galaxy nexus has a lot of support. My honest favorite ROM is one over on Rootzwiki it is basically stock plus emoji and power menu. Very fast very stable.
For a GSM I'm running purity and loving it. Very very stable and fast.
