Hi,
I flashed the latest CM10 nighly and made sure GPS was on, and searched around a lot but still can't manage to get it work.
Is there a fix for it? I'm travelling soon and I'd badly need GPS.
Thanks

Ok,but I read that before flashing CM10 if your GPS was off you need to go back to stock, turn on and reflash CM10? thats impossible right now, is there any quick fix?
thanks
Hmmm...never heard of that.
anyway, I'm still looking for a fix

I have CM7.1 RC. I am getting a weird issue.
When I start Wifi, it is not connecting , but if I disable cell data then wireless starts working.
Again If I turn on my data, it shuts off my wireless.
Let me know how to resolve this issues
I will really appreciate it.
Thanks.

Interesting, have you tried reflashing CM7?
I would recommend using the newer nightlies as they are very stable.
Maybe try a non stock kernel too.

Thanks for quick response.
I am using this rom for last two months, there was no issue till today.
Is there any other solution than reflashing, because then I need to reinstall all apps and everything.

You would not lose your /data if you flashed an update.
You could try flashing a different kernel if you wanted though.
Tiamat, Savaged-Zen, or Godmode.
Thanks, I will try that.

Welcome, post again if you need more help.
ok im a noob and cant find what im looking for, ive read around and i see a radio change or upgrade would fix this but im reluctant to flash as i have the latest radio (13.55.55.24h_3.35.20.10)
can someone help me out or point me in the right direction please!!??
thanks in advance!
Irrespective of the version you have, you have to reflash the radio. (Even if you are reflashing it with the same version you are having). A longer alternative is to go back to a Sense ROM, keep GPS on there, get a fix, and reinstall CM7 without turning off GPS, but, for your BT issues you will probably have to reflash the radio anyway.

WORKED a treat!
Ok so i keep getting force closes when i receive a call and try to answer it. Iv wiped everything restored it back to last ROM then reflashed it and this didnt fix it? Anyone plz help!
1.12.9 was the last stable one, re-flash that. You should only have to wipe cache/dalvik, that's all I did when I restored.
In case you need it...

Thats why I had to switch from MIUI It was working fine at first but all the sudden FC's all the time and if I flash the latest I still get those issues :/ I think it has to do with the new UI they are adding, and you need to make sure you are using radios that are compatible with MIUI itself. and you might have even got a bad download link so try another time wipe and flash and see what happends let us know!
There were CDMA issues after 1.12.9, they're resolved but I doubt we'll see updates until MIUI ICS.

Never used MIUI,but if you go into recovery/advanced/fix permissions, see if that helps.

The best one I had was Cm7 very stable and fast rom.
Guys, this issue with MIUI builds 1.12.23 and 1.12.30 are VERY well known and have been talked about over and over. There are links to older and newer builds in the MIUI thread in the Dev section AND on MIUI.us.....
Jeez. a little searching won't kill you, ya know....
Cm7 didn't work well at all for me. Apps would force close left, and right. Swagged out rom worked pretty well for me. MIUI is working well but force closes on incoming calls. Trying to decide what to try next.
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA App
Holy mother of God, even in this thread it's mentioned that the newest MIUI build on the d/l page is broken and you have to use 1.12.9 or 2.1.3, both of which are posted over and over in the MIUI thread in the dev section AND on MIUI.us

if your phone.apk doesn't have permissions to run that will happen.
Ok so ever since I updated to any of the 4.4.2 rom (i.e. Cm11, Cyanfox, SlimKat and Carbon Rom) my accelerometer won't work correctly.
At first I thought it was a GPS issue but after looking into it more the GPS locks fine. It's only the direct in google maps or any other GPS like app that is messed up. For instance, when I'm using google maps and I'm facing north it will show me facing east, then when I change directions it can't figure out which direction I'm facing and spins around in circles and maps will crash. Same thing happens when I use GPS Status, the app will say I'm facing the wrong direction and when I move direction it starts to spin out of control.
I defiantly don't think its a hardware issue since everything was working fine with the touchwiz rom and 4.3 roms. If anyone has any clue on how to fix this I would greatly appreciate it. This is pretty much the only thing that is wrong for me with any kitkat roms.
I have a tmobile galaxy s3 and current running SlimKat build 3. :crying:

I gave it a shot but no luck. I have also used GPS status and FasterGPS but like I said before I don't think its a GPS issue because it does lock on to my location fine. It's just my compass doesn't work correctly.
I believe CM has a Advanced Option to Re-Calibrate Accelarometer. Settings > Advanced is where the option is I think. I use Slim Bean so I don't have CM details.
Oh yeah I forgot about that but it still didn't work. I appreciate all the ideas though.
You may want to go back to Stock and then try. Just to rule out any hardware issues. It will also wipe any corrupt firmware.

Do you mean odin to stock or just flash a stock rom? If it's odin I'll definitely try it when I get home. The thing I find weird is that when I flashed the S3Rx rom, everything was working fine.
I'd do Odin before trying anything else.
So I odin back to stock and like before everything was working properly. Then when I flashed back to carbon rom, is back to pointing in the wrong direction and spinning out of control.
I'm surprised that I'm one of the only if not the only one with this problem. Is there an app that I can manually calibrate which direction I'm pointing?
I'm out of ideas...
Can you flash a different kernel on top of Carbon ?

I flashed KT kernel, BMS, Harkness and DKP. For a little while it seemed like BMS had fixed it but then went back to the same ol' sad story. :crying:
Try Another Rom please. Not just Carbon. This time try a 4.3 rather than Kitkat.
I have tried other roms and I stated that this didn't happen till I started using Kitkat roms. When I was on carbon 4.3.1 there weren't any problems as well as on S3Rx 4.3 rom. Not sure why this only happens on Kitkat roms and what seems like only to me. I'll continue to look for solutions cause I really like the look and feel of Kitkat.
So after searching and searching I finally found a fix! I was about to give up hope but decided to try one last kernel, Quantum kernel. At first it seemed like it wasn't working but I had to calibrate my accelerometer with GPS Status. After that everything was gravy! I hope this helps others that have the same problem I did!
I have a S4 M919N on CM12 Nightly and my Bluetooth is acting up. It will connect to my car and disconnect by itself and when I try to go into the settings of the phone it doesn't let my turn the Bluetooth on anymore. I restart the phone and it connects again but when I make a call or play music, my phone says Bluetooth has stopped working. It used to work fine on Stock. All i've done so far is just root and flash CM12. I'm really inexperienced with this stuff so any help will greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.
Don't know for sure, but could be a cm issue at the moment. Try reflashing fresh cm12 or latest nightly
