[MOD] Lock HTC Sense Launcher in Memory [SENSE] - HTC One V

I got many PM's asking me how I locked HTC Sense in memory in the latest Amazing Sense update and also got reports of it working to an extent very well...
SO HERE WE GO:
Your rom should have build.prop in /system/
OR
Use Root Explorer to navigate to the build.prop
-----------------------------------------------
After this edit it with a text editor( Notepad++ recommended ) and add this line at the bottom.
Code:
# Keep Rosie in Memory
sys.keep_app_1=com.htc.launcher
Save and reboot or adb push it...
IF YOU ARE GOING TO USE THIS ANY ROM OF YOURS OR ANY TWEAK/MOD PLEASE PROVIDE CREDITS

This mod also works on older version of Amazing Sense 1.0 which I currently use. Now Sense launcher never reload ever again
THANK YOU

Yes it worked. You saved my life... again. I used Root Explorer to edit the build.prop. the previous method I used earlier didin't work.

[Q] Sense 3.0 Lock Screen for an Unrooted Desire Z?

Hello everybody. I have an unrooted Desire Z with Gingerbread and Sense 2.1. Because of feeling noob, I am scared to root my Desire Z, but also I really want to use Sense 3.0 lock screen. Is there a way for me?
Thanks
Not without rooting I'm afraid. I'm currently using virtuous 2.0 which is based off the official DZ GB release. With the sense 3.0 lockscreen and it rocks.
If you need help rooting head over to #G2ROOT irc and they will be happy to help

Any way you could link to a thread/post on how to get that lockscreen on ROMs other than Unity? I remember seeing bits and pieces of how but I cant search because I'm on my phone at the moment.

Doesn't that suck up a ton of memory?
You must root your phone. I recommend Virtuous Unity or Virtuous 2.0, both with the overclocked Unity B4 kernel. Good luck!

I am using the sense 3.0 lockscreen with Virtuous 2.0 as well. Whilst I dont play lots of 3d games etc I dont have any problems with memory.
It really does run well.
Running Sense 2 OR 3 requires, in my opinion, removing unneccesary apps with Titanium to free up space. I took out WiFi calling, the drm, the email and stock apps/widgets, and Facebook/Twitter.

Thanks,
I have installed that app and it works nice. but sometimes I have to unlock both lockscreens original one and agile. Is there any other way to replace the original one.
I was thinking about something like this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1054444
Because I would also like to see that nice music widget on lockscreen and some other stuff.
I have downloaded and install app from that thread but when I restart phone I still have old lockscreen.

Download "No Lock" from the market. It disables the stock lockscreen so you can use agile lock or any other lockscreen
does anyone know if you can delete the stock htc 2.1 lockscreen using titanium back up??
thanks

No, coz Android 3-4 uses .apk's wat doesn't work on earlier versions of Android, tried. And IF it would work, there will be no widgets etc. coz it's another Sense version.
Ok which means I guess it correct different system framework

Think about apps wat are ported from ICs, for example Google Music. No root needed, and it don't need any system framework changing.

Wow, another uninformative answer from you.
And in regards to the actual question, its because the task manager was ported to wfs so it doesn't work like it should, not much we can do about it though, and you don't even need it because android 2.0 automatically kills apps when the screen is off.
If you want a fully functioning one use this: View attachment com.rhythm.hexise.task-imported_1.apk Playstore link
Why is uninformative?and was not an answer, was a Question !i asked that because i use kimsmod ultimate and for me the task manager not working, and i asked this to know if for others working! And if 2 android kill itself app,why htc explorer have an built in task manager? (Wow,your answers are very good !)

HTC Sense launcher uses it's own animations so unless you know how to edit it yourself, you can't do anything about it.
Tried this zip, but nothing happen..

It does work, for animations outside of HTC Sense launcher. To flash it, you have to mount /system in CWM or else it won't flash properly.

Nice app, getting the donate version immediately.

Hi.. this is exactly what i want to do. change the transition animation, when switching from one app to another. it just like no animation at all. and it's really ugly.
tried many way to change it: flash from zip, use ninjamorph, manual change on anim folder inside framework-res.apk. but none of them work.
tried that mentioned framework tool but always says "something went wrong"
i can change window transition with all those methods, but why they wont work for transition animation?
any suggestion?
thanks

You can remove sense launcher and other sense stuff using Titanium Backup
Be careful though
Thank you! :good:
Is it called HTC Sense Desktop? I'll do a backup in the recovey first.
You can use custom rom if you want to get rid of sense. There are bunches of avilable rom. This is only a suggestion.

I'm pretty sure there's a toll somewhere in the Dev section
Edit: I meant tool
sent from a phone that's running on a rom
mrcorey, what do you mean by toll?
Thanks for the tips, but I will stick with Sense. The custom roms are mostly buggy. Nova+Stock is ok for me and it was worth a try.
