Can someone point me to sense 4 rosie launcher so I can use it on asop ics, I've seen it before but can't find it

You can't run Sense Rosie on AOSP, it depends on HTC framework...

No, coz Android 3-4 uses .apk's wat doesn't work on earlier versions of Android, tried. And IF it would work, there will be no widgets etc. coz it's another Sense version.

Ok which means I guess it correct different system framework

Think about apps wat are ported from ICs, for example Google Music. No root needed, and it don't need any system framework changing.

(?) Warm z not letting me use Honeycomb lockscreen

Hello Im using ROM Warm Z TwoPointTwo [RLS1] and found a zip file that will let you flash to the Honeycomb lockscreen and every time I try it i have to use my backup to restore my phone..
can someone tell me if this is even possible or is this only available for 2.2 roms not z roms..
Here is the zip attach if it is needed to answer my question...
I would appreciate any comments or help..
I'm not a hundred percent sure but, I think it has to be made specifically for that Rom or possibly another z Rom...
Sent from my Incredible using XDA App
For one thing z roms are 2.2
And the other is yes it has to be made for the specific rom. Due t sense being heavly in the framwork, and the fact that u have to unistall the htclockscreen.apk to use the vanilla lockscreen
Sent from my Incredible using XDA Premium App
I'll see, i was hoping it was posible since i like that lockscreen better.. i just hope someone makes a theme with thar lockscreen for z roms...

[Q] Sense 3.0 Lock Screen for an Unrooted Desire Z?

Hello everybody. I have an unrooted Desire Z with Gingerbread and Sense 2.1. Because of feeling noob, I am scared to root my Desire Z, but also I really want to use Sense 3.0 lock screen. Is there a way for me?
Thanks
Not without rooting I'm afraid. I'm currently using virtuous 2.0 which is based off the official DZ GB release. With the sense 3.0 lockscreen and it rocks.
If you need help rooting head over to #G2ROOT irc and they will be happy to help

Any way you could link to a thread/post on how to get that lockscreen on ROMs other than Unity? I remember seeing bits and pieces of how but I cant search because I'm on my phone at the moment.

Doesn't that suck up a ton of memory?
You must root your phone. I recommend Virtuous Unity or Virtuous 2.0, both with the overclocked Unity B4 kernel. Good luck!

I am using the sense 3.0 lockscreen with Virtuous 2.0 as well. Whilst I dont play lots of 3d games etc I dont have any problems with memory.
It really does run well.
Running Sense 2 OR 3 requires, in my opinion, removing unneccesary apps with Titanium to free up space. I took out WiFi calling, the drm, the email and stock apps/widgets, and Facebook/Twitter.

Thanks,
I have installed that app and it works nice. but sometimes I have to unlock both lockscreens original one and agile. Is there any other way to replace the original one.
I was thinking about something like this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1054444
Because I would also like to see that nice music widget on lockscreen and some other stuff.
I have downloaded and install app from that thread but when I restart phone I still have old lockscreen.

Download "No Lock" from the market. It disables the stock lockscreen so you can use agile lock or any other lockscreen

yes I am talking about multitaking.....apk close when 3 or 4 apk r running in background. .......
Sense 3.5 had bad multitasking due to high resources needed for 3d rosie and else..
If you want good multitasking, you can use sense 2.1 rom or hybrid sense 2.1 + 3.0.
Or you can use sense 1.9 for better multitasking..

You can use RCMixTweaks under Settings (if your ROM has it installed) to change 3D effects to 2D to save resources for multitasking.

I would choose CM7 because of the relative speed vs tweak options in it, but that's me. Check the Desire Index thread for the list of AOSP to try.. it seems to be updated now.
In AOSP I would think CM7 as the bloated one because of the tweaks they have in it. Go with Oxygen or Redux2 or dGB for more barebones Android experience.

Hey can you help me strip it down even more? I've got the core of port finished.
Im still deodexing, the app folder is around 200mb! I see a lot of unnecessary apps, but even if i bring it down, it probably be around 170mb-ish
But that's just app folder, frameworks are around 30mb, plus the entire system folder.
So were looking at still around 200mb of sense 4... How did you slim yours down?
and thats the desire C version(slim)?
wont work ever with one x apps, but you may need to wipe anything up to 30 mb I think, ~170 is max

Sense framework on a custom ROM

Hello.
I'm curious - is it possible for a developer to integrate the Sense framework into a ROM so that apps written for Sense would work. Also, if this was possible, would BlinkFeed have to be included? Thanks.

More than likely, No.

you don't need to build the sense framework on a custom rom......HTC did that for you already. All the custom sense 6 roms are build from the original stock one that HTC released.

I'm planning to create a Sense ROM with the stock Android UI. Basically, it's CyanogenMod with the HTC kernel and framework, so that apps written for Sense can run on this ROM while the ROM itself looks mostly like stock Android.

Seeing as GPE Roms for HTC can only support a small assortment of HTC Apps even with the HTC Service Pack I don't feel that it will be possible. I've heard of people using Sense Roms and then using Rom Cleaner to make them look more to stock, but thats still considered a sense ROM.
