THANKS!!!
I tried it, and even pluged it in before a reboot but nothing shows up on screen. I see a little flickering, but nothing else.
Also, are you placing "com.qc.hdmi_out" under "Property Name" or "property Key"?
you may want to add "true" o your directions, they are not specific.
Thank you for your efforts none the less! This is a great step in the right direction. :good:

tried this and it worked. only issue that remains for me is when the MHL cable loses power or is unplugged, the only way to re-initiate the hdmi-out sync is with a reboot of the device. anyone know of a way to manually trigger a resync?
Can anyone post a flashable fix for this, I am at my uncles house and was planning on watching a movie with my cousins and then I realized my jb ROM doesn't have mhl support :/

For me, setting "ro.hdmi.enable=true" does the job. I tried your com.qc.hdmi_out line also, but found that I had difficulty getting consistent results, but devices may differ. ROMs earlier than 10.0.0 Stable often crashed after using HDMI, after pulling out the cable, even though the video worked well up till that point. But recent ROMs seems to be stable for me.
It is a frustration for me that those who (probably) know about the deeper aspects of this issue (why it was never turned on in the default configuration) never comment on it, so those who want it to work spend lots of time fiddling with it. On the teamhacksung site, a statement was made that it will never work because it involves proprietary code, but that was some time ago, so who knows? The fact that it works well seems to suggest that all the needed code is present and functional, so the mystery is why it is never addressed by the developers explicitly, or turned on by default, or have a setting to turn it on as Galaxy S had.

Capable of pulling from source, yes. But Kasper does a bit more than that, and he's far more advanced than me.

Hello guys, so I have a question. So you know right, in Gingerbread, there was this function where when I plug in my earphones, the media volume will change to the volume which I used last time when I was when i used my earphones. I think it is a samsung thing.
But since I changed to ics, i have lost this function, so now I have to change the media volume myself when i plug in my earphone, which is a hassle, at least for me.
Therefore, I am looking for an app which has this function. Please do post something which helps and not something like 'Go google for it or search it on xda'. I would honestly appreciate if you link me to the app instead, thank you very much

FuelGaugeTool v2.0
What is this?
This is a small program for resetting fuel gauge chip on Samsung Galaxy S2 I9100 model
Okay, but we can reset it through ExTweaks and STweaks?!
Yes you can, but only if you are using Siyah or Dorimanx kernel, if you are on other kernel like Jeboo then you will need to use this app
What's new?
v2.0:
-Added Super User permission in AndroidManifest.xml
-Fixed force close when opening FAQ
-Changed icon
v1.4:
-Fixed problems with security question
-Optimised code for opening FAQ
v1.3:
-Added FAQ
v1.2:
- Added new dialogs
- Optimised code
v1.1:
- Fixed root access bug
- Added RootTools libs
Download:
FuelGaugeTool - Google Play
Downloads on xda: 4118
can u plz tell in detail y do we need to reset fuel gauge chp??
i have been doing this blindly, but wat is the exact need of doing this??
i never got any help by doing this actually, thats y asking
By resetting the guage you delete the battery stats file and create.a fresh file. By this system does provide any feeds while on battery and this helps the battery to last longer without any conflict with other apps.

It's like a battery calibration?
Sent from my GT-I9100 using xda premium
Some people says yes, some no...
For me personaly it's not like calibration because it will not make battery to longer work, if your fuel gauge chip is ok, and if u reset it, u will not see differences, but if your chip went crazy and u reset fuel gauge chip, your batt indicator can drop(or grow) for ~30%(or less or more)
So FuelGaugeTool fixes fuel gauge chip in your I9100

I also use the Neak Kernel with Beanstalk and use the uNeak app from the Playstore. You can adjust the mic, headphones and speaker volumes. If it's compatible with your Rom, might want to give it a try.

Ok you may have just installed the wrong one. Delete the one you have installed first. Then reboot and reinstall the new one!
Here's the one I used:
http://db.tt/XTj0YXNH
And you only need one installed!
As far as the other sound file's, I highlighted which one I downloaded from the viper page.
You just have to use a file explorer to move the files to the correct folder!
Once your done, start a song then open viper audio mod. And change your setting! From there...
FYI:
Keep in mind that if you have a Bluetooth earpiece connected. And then if you connect into the headphone jack. It'll default to the Bluetooth sound for you headphone jack. Until you disconnect the Bluetooth. Then it'll default to the headset setting in VIPER..
