Are you capable of building your own from source, or just pulling Kasper's build and doing edits? Echo should be the same as other latest builds. I've reported what is going on almost all of those 4.2 builds out there.

Capable of pulling from source, yes. But Kasper does a bit more than that, and he's far more advanced than me.
I have no echo, so maybe you should check your radio. All is well for me. Kasper's latest build works wonders.
Edit : In fact, I probably neglected to mention this is now my DD. (Battery is good too)
I don't have echo anymore after the latest commits made by the CM team, was just asking for reading through stuff purposes. Thanks.

This is a completely stock Sprint Official JB LJ7 port. This is pretty much just a copy of my thread here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=33285365#post33285365
The base is based off Freeza's release http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1910947
Features
Deodexed
rooted
busybox
Stock Kernel by Ktoonsez so be sure to thank him! Without him this wouldn't be possible(The rotation was flipped with the stock sprint kernel) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1756776
What doesn't work(so far):
tethering
exFat sd support (for now)
Change Log:
10/29/2012:
fixed wifi not connecting
added modified mms which should fix sending/receiving issues some were having
10/28/2012:
Added ril libs from tmo leak to fix international calling issue and intermittent no incoming call issue
kept everything stock (all apps etc.) just removed the the sprint specific apps

Flash this zip right after you flash the rom. Since this is basically the version I posted in the ATT forum this zip will change the build.prop to show T999 instead of i747 http://d-h.st/loh Everything will work without flashing the zip but your phone will be identified as a i747 not a t999]
Disclaimer: I am not responsible if you flash this and your device gets bricked or anything happens to your device from flashing this.
Devs: Feel free to use this as your base
reserved for me...
I'll take this one too

For anyone with issues with MMS. Try this apk. It's the modified one from my BJ rom, but with the theming removed

I'll have a fix for that. It was my absentmindedness that forgot to update the libs when I updated the rom today. there is a short term way to fix it(if you prefer the stock kernel) until I can upload a updated one with the correct libs. You can flash ktoonsez's custom kernel and it will fix the wifi as it has the correct libs. I'll be able to upload a fix later (as long as I still have power if the storm is as bad as they say it's going to be)

I am getting a high pitched noise whenever audio is played. Many were suggesting to use Poweramp and a few other fixes but nothing seems to work. I haven't even't overclocked or undervolted. I am back to stock kernel for now because of this issue. There doesn't seem to be any other kernels for touchwiz JB as of now so I am really looking forward to anyone that has any suggestions to fix this issue.

I'm going to install the latest Ktoonez kernel and see if I'll have the same experience.
I dunno if it's related but I've noticed a similar noise when audio cord + charger is in, if no music is playing. Haven't found a fix yet

I'm not experiencing any problems with audio but I am using Poweramp.
I used the latest De-bloater by mrRobinson http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1732039 and debloated everything (minus Flipboard, Yahoo apk and Dropbox).
Afterwards, I wiped cache and dalvik follow by fix permission. After that is when I installed Ktoonz then wiped and fixed again. Then I accessed system/bin/qosmgr via Root Explorer and renamed it to qosmgr.bak. Rebooted wiped/fix and that's about it.
I'm using TWRP 2.3.1.0; root66 STOCK JB.

Also, are you placing "com.qc.hdmi_out" under "Property Name" or "property Key"?
you may want to add "true" o your directions, they are not specific.

For me, setting "ro.hdmi.enable=true" does the job. I tried your com.qc.hdmi_out line also, but found that I had difficulty getting consistent results, but devices may differ. ROMs earlier than 10.0.0 Stable often crashed after using HDMI, after pulling out the cable, even though the video worked well up till that point. But recent ROMs seems to be stable for me.
It is a frustration for me that those who (probably) know about the deeper aspects of this issue (why it was never turned on in the default configuration) never comment on it, so those who want it to work spend lots of time fiddling with it. On the teamhacksung site, a statement was made that it will never work because it involves proprietary code, but that was some time ago, so who knows? The fact that it works well seems to suggest that all the needed code is present and functional, so the mystery is why it is never addressed by the developers explicitly, or turned on by default, or have a setting to turn it on as Galaxy S had.

Gonna try that when I get home. Also PA made it to this device. Also the Jedi mind trick Roms. So many options. Wow head's spinning.
Leaning towards CM10.1 though.
No signal, can't play video
I was using CM10.0. Updated CM10.1 with corresponding gapp.
-Can't register on cellular network anymore. Can't set AWS frequency in the factory testing mode.
-All of my Video apps start legging, play videos for a little while and quit after about a minute, say video format not supported. Even though the video is mp4 format and it was playing it before quitting.
How should fix it? Flash kernel? Which kernel should I use?

Thanks that did the trick. I was going mad at why the LED notifications stopped working.
Also still on the non-touch recovery, 5.0.26 the one that needs the Darkmod scripts to wipe cache and do full installs.
Also had to turn sensor on/off before it actually worked. Read that from another post from someone that helped me.

So you didn't mess with any setting at all? Just installed the app then added all those files and chose one you likes?
Just to make sure
which of the 2 apps did you download?
What cpu setting did you choose?
Which of the ir files did you like the best? Haha
And thanks a ton man!

So I found out the ViPER4Android might be the solution to my volume issues. But every time i go to settings > Device > Sound > MUSIC EFFECTS I get an error that says "Unfortunately, Settings has stopped" Anyone getting this? is there a fix?

Ok you may have just installed the wrong one. Delete the one you have installed first. Then reboot and reinstall the new one!
Here's the one I used:
http://db.tt/XTj0YXNH
And you only need one installed!
As far as the other sound file's, I highlighted which one I downloaded from the viper page.
You just have to use a file explorer to move the files to the correct folder!
Once your done, start a song then open viper audio mod. And change your setting! From there...
FYI:
Keep in mind that if you have a Bluetooth earpiece connected. And then if you connect into the headphone jack. It'll default to the Bluetooth sound for you headphone jack. Until you disconnect the Bluetooth. Then it'll default to the headset setting in VIPER..

2. Once installed what CPU type do I choose for the AT&T Galaxy Note II?

Ok I taught I gave you just the apk.
Here try this one it's the apk only:
http://db.tt/f0spvlYv
But you can use the first one I gave you also. I think I use the file on the right of that zip.
The apk I used was like 1.28mb..
Cpu setting..
After install, open, then install driver. It's the last one on the list A9/15..

Then something is wrong. Did you perform a reboot after you installed the driver?
Because all mine work. Headset, speaker, Bluetooth, they all change the sound. If you have some head phones use those to set it up.
What steps do you do. Do you know what to turn on and what not to? All the info is on the viper page!!
Check post#2 the sound setting are there...

Yes I did the reboot. And the thing is when I tried to set it up with my headphones (audio technica brand) no setting changed any sound. I could turn anything on or off and no change would reflect.
