Installed a battery mod. Need help finding info on the 1% fix - T-Mobile, Samsung Galaxy SIII

I installed a battery mod and the percentage sticks then jumps down 10 percent or whatever.I know I read about the fix, but now that I need it I can't find it. Can someone point me in the correct direction? I really appreciate any help.

Last i knew, there wasnt a "fix" unless you mod the systemui.apk and include the correct .xml and .png files for each percentage.

Thanks elesbb.
Someone was kind enough to post a step by step to do that, but I think it was buried in one of the Rom threads. Doing a search brought up way too many things that were not relevant. I was going to try and tackle it this weekend if i can find the post.

Battery icon with numbers, and 1% fix - tilt 2

I have looked around for a fix that will show the battery level in 1% increments....but nobody will confirm whether this works for the tilt 2 without causing problems. Should I just assume that if something works with WM6.1 it will work with 6.5?
Also, it is so stupid to not have a better battery icon...is there a way to replace it with one that actually shows a freaking number? I don't want anything fancy, and I don't want to install a pack that replaces ALL my icons. Anyone?
EDIT:
Just thought of this. Does anyone know how to change the colors on the top start bar, and bottom start bar in tf3d? I was thinking of wanting them both transparent, but that might make the stop icons hard to see....maybe just the bottom tranparent.....hell, I guess I could pick a dark background and make them both tranparent.
Anyway....anyone?
http://www.freewarepocketpc.net/ppc-download-ariel-battery-monitor-v1-6-2.html maybe this would help? i've used it and it doesn't replace any icons. it stays at the top bar. you can move it to cover the battery area or just leave it by the start logo

Thanks a lot...I will check that out.
I think I would still prefer editing the built in icon...just seemed less "hacked" to me.

Get NRG Rom "Photon"
Has the 1% battery and everything else you would ever ask for.

Not really in interested in flashing a whole new ROM just for this. The ROMS are nice, but none of them are 100% perfect....I don't want to deal with radio's....I don't want to deal with some of my keyboard buttons not working...I don't want to deal with getting some strange ATT registry setting back just so x or y program will run right.
The phone runs great now...just want a couple tweaks, not a full overhaul.
Quentin- has offered in this thread to make a modified battery.dll for various specific devices, but it seems he hasn't poked his head in that thread for about a month.

thanks man!
I'll keep track of that thread.
I figure others might be looking for the same stuff..so I'd like to update this thread as I find what I need.
Finally found a replacement battery icon that works on the tilt 2 here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=3598922&postcount=3473
still looking for a way to get 1% increments on the stock ROM.

You need to install that 1% increment driver for that.

Wow, you may hate to be but you are.
TWO experienced people posted suggestions that would work but you've chosen to not believe them or even attempt there suggestions. Why even ask?

I probably went overboard....but if he would have read the posts he would have seen that we were discussing this in depth already. It would be like me walking into a white house press conference on the state of the economy and saying "hey...uhhh..maybe someone should try to fix it and stuff"
As for me ignoring the 2 suggestions.
1. I thanked the first guy but RESPECTFULLY mentioned that this was more of a work-around and not a fix. I also posted a fix to the first part of my problem in case he, or anyone else, was interested....not sure how that is supposed to show i ignored him.
2. The second suggestion was to a thread that the head guy didn't seem to updating anymore, which the poster stated up front as he gave me the link. I thanked him as well...and agreed that the thread did not have a solution for this issue...was never a **** to him.
Anyway.....I'm sorry, I shouldn't have reacted like that...I know he was only trying to help.
Back to the topic at hand. It appears the hold up on the 1% driver is that people are having an issue pulling the proper files from the tilt2's because of write protection or something......so looks like this is in limbo while people smarter than me attempt to help the rest of us.
Hi:
I installed the attached cab driver, and it seemed to work fine for me, with no side effects.
I found it with one of the Brian taskbars (gfreek edition), which by the way looked amazing, but the signal icon didn't get replaced with the new one.
Hope this helps

The fix you posted is for when the notification manager and the battery icon show values that are 1% away from each other. This thread is about a different issue, namely getting a 1% driver that works on the stock Tilt2 ROM. Thanks for the fix though; I think I have that problem also. I once saw my notification say 0% (when the battery driver was rejected) while the icon showed 1%.

Did you look at this post, HERE? It might not be the same line number, so just do a find for the sentence.
The lines you will need to edit is in service.jar. I canteen post a link from the app but search in the incredible development forum. There is a guide
Sent from my slutty assistant.(HTC Incredible)
Yes I have checked this out with no luck. I have searched the HtcCDMAStatusBar for everything. I'm struggling. Thanks for the suggestion.
Sent from my Droid Incredible
Yeah I'm aware of where it should be. I just can't locate the exact place to fix it in HtcCDMAStatusBar (which is within services.jar) thanks for the suggestion.
Sent from my Droid Incredible
Upload your services.jar and I will change it for you. The clock is under StatusBarPolicy.smali and the location is under HtcCdmaStatusBar.smali

Thanks for the help. Check it out.
Here you go. I was not sure how you wanted to install it, so Hide_loc_clock.zip you will install through ROM Manager, services.zip just has the services.jar file. I was not sure what rom you had installed so I tried this on Skyraider 3.5, and it does not work. I then installed it on Myn's Warm Two Point Two By Incubus26Jc 11/25/2010 version and it worked perfect. So for yourself or anyone else that reads this post, THIS WILL NOT WORK ON SKYRAIDER.

[Q] How exactly do you fix GPS on CM9?

I'm on CM9 A5 about to ugprade to A6.
However, my GPS won't lock. Navigation keeps saying "Searching for GPS". I have a trip I need GPS for in about 2 hrs and it will suck if I cannot get it to work.
I searched and it's something about flashing to gingerbread? I couldn't find any clear instructions on what exactly I would have to do though. How can I do that from CM9? Would I loose my data? I spent 2hrs configuring tretchbucket and stuff, hopefully I won't have to wipe in order to fix my GPS.
Can someone explain please?
Dont take this the wrong way but I am not sure where you were searching because the answers are associated with the CM9 thread and clearly noted unfortunately in too many places throughout the web and this section of the forum...
All the questions you have asked are all answered in the directions.... Gotta change up your words when searching which may help... This is part of the install guide section under tools
Not trying to flame just that this question is an easy one

I understand. I should have searched a bit more about what emmc actually is so I knew how it worked. I got what I needed, many thanks for the swift answer and my apologies for not searching more.

good luck and cm9 Nightlies run great as well.
There is also something in the forum called GPS fix....its a zip you use in CWM...think I saw it in Phantom ROM post....helps A LOT. I get a lock in seconds when flashed.
EDIT: try this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=27439275

Thanks! I tried the flashable zip, however the GPS didn't lock.
I followed the temporary emmc boot, locked on using that, and now my GPS is working flawlessly and locking very quickly.

cLock from AOKP Task650 ROM!

I just love the cLock on the latest AOKP Task650 ROM.. Anyone know how to port the same to any of the other 4.2.2 ROMs or any ROMs in general? Tried searching for the same a lot.. Did not find anything.. Help..Anyone??
You should really be searching before posting. Because if you did you would know that cLock is from cyanogenmod. They created it. I just added it. It even states that in my OP. Its an app. Take it out of system/app and put it back into system/app to whatever ROM you want. Set the permissions to rw-r-r
Thanks Task.. Thank you very much.. Am just learning my way.. Will follow the rules..:good:

No problem. Trust me when I say that searching will really help you out in more ways than you can think. You will come across information that you weren't even looking for that will educate you on things that you probably never knew you would want to learn about until you found it. Also. You will be able to do the XDA handshake and pass that information on to the next guy.
What's the exact apk name for cLock? Desclock.apk?
Thanks!!
