Task Killer alternatives - HTC One V

I heard recently that task killers are useless, however the HTC One V does not have very much ram. Personally I use Advanced Task killer but what alternatives do you guys suggest?

CM7 + Autokiller Memory Optimizer

Yay or naw? Does it affect battery life? Anyone see any difference with or without?
If the autokiller is a task manager you do not need it. Android since froyo has had great memory manager as compared to the earlier iterations. You might not know this but your ram usage is supposed to be high.
If you need to kill a task the "settings->applications->running services" can do that.

Nitro HD Task Manager/Killer??

Does the Nitro HD need a task manager or task killer like ATK?
I absolutely love my device and have no complaints on battery life, but I'll admit, there is a little lag at times.
Generally, I wouldn't use one mainly because I've never needed one on SGS2 devices or others. Because of the absence of the issue or a native install.
And I definitely don't want to annihilate the battery. I'm happy with a good 12-16hr day on it.
Easy to solve? Suggestions?
Please reply.

I'll tell you right now if your managing 12-16hr day on it if you use my rom you should get 15-20hrs a day and don't use task killers they mess up the device and make it die faster.
The only time I use a task killer is after I've used my camera. It supposedly helps keep the camera from continuing to draw power in the background. I'm not sure if it's true, but I don't want to find out the hard way...

Good Task manager for Andromadus Mimicry 1.5

What's a good task manager that works well, I've tried a few but haven't found something I like yet. Anyone got advice.

if your thinking of a task manager like a task killer dont use one, really a bad idea for android. if you must use something like watchdog so you dont blindly kill apps. even then when things are set up the way you like it and your sure all is well, i would suggest freezing watchdog as it sits in background itself and wastes cpu.
just do a little google search and youll see what im talking about
Ok, thanks. I'm still learning my way around this ROM and all its bells ans whistles. For some odd reason though I use up a lot of RAM. I have to go and kill apps manually.

Your definition of a lot may differ from mine, this Rom has a supercharger script built in, this along with androids ability to choose what apps to kill is the best way to go. You may have some bad apps that have memory leaks or wake locks. Use watchdog to spy on those and remove them if necessary

Yes this is normal. Android and sense do a very good job of managing tasks so don't worry about it.
You can check apps in the settings menu for any apps that are running constantly, its the running apps tab...
This is what you should keep an eye on.

Htc one x ram problem?

Plz any can tell me how i can boost my one x ram. It uses commonly use more then 800mb.

You can't increase ram but you can try this mod to solve your lags : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2145133
It's how android (linux) works. Caches apps to ram to speed things up. So a near full ram doesn't mean slowing down the phone. 1GB of ram is still good enough.
