Feel much better now

So I have been a little worried that I wouldn't be able to get a touch from a local Sprint store. I didn't reserve one and didn't pre order one. I can't get to a store early so I showed up about 5 minutes ago. I was very pleased to see I was the only one here! Now lets hope they actually have the phone

I sent my fiance to get one for me while I was at work and she said that no one was at our store, and then they refused to sell her one because I wasn't there

I too am waiting at the sprint store. Here's to hoping they have one.

That's just stupid ... i buy stuff all the time and put it on the account ... my parents are never in the store ... and i just give them my dad's name ...

Waiting here in Mass too and also by myself! I got here at 9 they open at 10. For the Evo I got here at 5:30am and I was 2nd! By 7am there were about 25 people! I think cuz the Evo was the very first "game changer".

WOW. I guess im going to go to sleep and try in the afternoon. I am not going to sit there and wait till 9am. Hope my local store doesnt sell out when I finally wake up. I knew I should of gone to bed at midnight so I could wake up at 8am and get there in time.

Worst part about it is that she has done 3 times in the past 2 years and just now they won't let her

Guess where I am sending this from? You got it. Five people showed up and I was the only one getting the touch. I was pretty shocked. It is going to take some getting used to but I love it so far.

It's because they advertised the evo...there has been no promotions for this phone except blogs and forums...most people don't read this stuff

Im starting to think that the people inside the store is probably the sprint employees thats getting trained on the phone only because no one has walked out with a phone yet and the doors are locked. They probably getting trained on the iphone...who knows.
If thats the case, then im the only one here as well.

Would you buy it again?

Ok guys, here's my "delimma". I have an upgrade available to me. I've been wanting a gs2 since it came out in Europe. I had every intention of getting this within the first week it came out on tmo. BUT, reading about all the issues with lines on the screen, resolution, etc, I'm skeptical. It's basically going to be this phone or I'll cancel my line (I'm on a family line). I havent had a chance to play with one in person yet. So, in the meantime, I'm trying to gather opinions on the phone.
With all that being said, if you had a chance to relive Wednesday or whatever day you bought the gs2, would you buy it again?

Definitely. My Iphone 4 got stolen two days ago, and yesterday I picked up this phone. Didn't even consider a 4S. Done with Apple and ready to get back into xda and the root world Tmo's 4G is amazing too.

i try to buy Samsung phones only. Samsung phones are slim and lightweight!
the lighter the phone, the more comfortable holding in hand!

yup! I love the phone. More so then the G2X.

I would for sure. I think it's the best phone on T-Mobile and T-Mobile is the cheapest out of the major wireless providers for me.

I am eligible for an upgrade to my iPhone 3GS from AT&T. Picked up a Galaxy S II and ported my number over to TMO. Almost everything about this phone is better than my old iPhone. Couldn't be happier. Oh, and I'm paying less for my plan, too!

Yep, I can relate to some. I tried the epic 4g touch version on sprint. If I could swap the internals with that it would be more awesome. As it stands though, once root is here and I can tether I'll be stoked. As of right now I'm happy with it. It feels solid and has a professional look and feel to it.

How did you manage that? I tried tethering today and the T-Mobile page showed up saying I had to get a tethering plan.

I'm going to give it a try again. The SGS2 was the phone I wanted from the git go. Sounds like the ones with the least amount of problems are the 9/28 boxes.
I'm going to give it one more chance tomorrow after I get off of work and I'll keep it over the weekend. I honestly really want to love the SGS2.

I just used easytether on the market and tethered.

I would by it again times 10. It's an awesome phone.

Happy to say I took back the amaze and looked.at two 9/28's in a back room watching a dark movie off the SD with the lights off. no lines at all even with zero brightness

Well me and my and my girlfriend both bought white epics back in december off craigslist for 350. I preordered the s3 and my gf decided to wait til see.how much of an upgrade it truly is before buying one. Well someone offered her a great deal on an evo lte so she gave it a shot. 1 day later she went back to her epic. Well i figured next week craigslist will be flooded with S2s and will go for less so i took the evo bc i know ill get 400 easy. I through the galaxy on craigslist for 350 and within an hour it was gone lol. This evos ok but the galaxy is better to me and my epic wasnt even rooted. Im a miss the s2 and cant wait for my s3. People always rant about the iphone holding its value i think this epic is just as good

The Galaxy S line has been a win from the start in my opinion. I kind of want to own every one just because I'm sold on the brand. It's always slightly ahead of its time. The software and hardware are deceptively durable (ie, always been able to port almost anything and nearly unbrickable if used properly.) It's like owning a Rolex. And I'm sure if you don't treat a Rolex well it'll break to your disappointment, as well. Also, Odin is a God in the Samsung world. Enjoy the fun. I test drove the SGS3 and it's gorgeous. I doubt anyone will be disappointed.

I picked up an EVO LTE on launch day and while in the store one of the employees offered me $250.00 for my Epic Touch. I went back the following Friday and sold it to her.
I was surprised i got that much for it.
A few weeks before that i sold my original Epic 4G for 100 bucks.
Now im left with my EVO 3D as a back up to my LTE.
I do think the Galaxy S devices hold their re-sale value pretty well.

I figured it would be kool to see all in one place all the devs/people that jumped ship and got a note 2 for Christmas

That really was a remarkable deal for this phone. Too bad I didn't need a new contract at the time. Still they had it for only $199 for upgrades. Anyway it was on backorder at the time (and I HATE waiting for backorder) so I just went to Sprint and bought it full price. The good news is they gave me $90 for my old E4GT that I got for a penny on AMZN wireless so it's all a wash

My ladyfriend got me one for xmas about 2 weeks ago, loving the hell out of it. Came most recently from the E4GT forums, made quite a few friends there, hope to do the same here.

Lol couldn't wait so I ended up getting one off ebay for $550. Very worthwhile upgrade compared to the s3 in my opinion.

I also came from E4GT. I was hated there and I fully expect to be hated here, lol

Also from the E4GT. Loving this phone so far. Fast, smooth, and unrivaled battery life. With the screen size, I'm not sure how much I will be using my nexus7 now.

Actually still rocking my E4GT on another line... just figured if I have to move off my MVNO and onto Sprint that I might as well do it on a good deal. Didn't think I'd find one better before June.

not too much going on for sprint note 2.... i check out the other carriers note2's n get jealous.........looked into would it would take to port stuff but seems difficult/time consuming for me..........im hoping someone comes out with a tool to easy mod things from carrier to carrier........ordered tectiles n i should get em next week......ive checked out every rom but the aosp stuff cuz i dont see it being much better.......hopefully this forum will explode soon

I know I didn't hesitate to grab one today!

Yea, looks like AT&T made a mistake and fixed it last night. There was a really short time frame. That's why I posted the screen shot as well to show what I saw at the time I got it ordered. I was hoping to help a couple folks out and get the deal before AT&T caught it.....

Wasn't a mistake. Att does has done this for the refurb note 2's twice already. Cheapest refurb it ever went was 99cents.
This deal started 2 days ago and was posted in slickdeals.net. Just so happened all the refurbs sold out already.

If you're near Fairfax VA or Columbus Oh those two Microcenters are the first ones selling ATT phones. They have the S4 and One for $99 and Note 2 for $149. Bought my One there while I was visiting friends. (Then went on to trade my One straight up for 2 Note 2's )

I'm in Cali but thanks for the info. I'm going to try and call Costco and buy it at wholesale price instead of upgrading ($280- don't know if Costco sells without contract)

Nah....nothing like that....It's just my being sceptical of ATT at any point. Let alone the offering of a deal like this.

As far as I know, Costco will not sell without contract. That changed a few years back.
