I am confused among those three ROMs, which is the best, to be used on daily bases, among those:
Virtuous Infinity 1.35 beta
TrickDroid 4.0.0
Sabsa Prime 8.5
?
thanks
I tested All of this 3 and all are very good, but in my mind Sabsa Prime is the best. Very Smooth, nearly No lag, just everything is working perfect and the battery Life is amazing. U have to Test it by urself but i think sabsa prime is the best!
Sent from my HTC Desire HD with Sabsa Prime.
Virtuous Infinity - Sense 4
Sabsa Prime - Sense 4.1
Trickdroid - Sense 4.1
They are all great Roms. But the best of 'em? That's up to the user themselves.......and what you tweak! Good Luck.
- hit my thanks button if i helped you -
Infinity - Full Sense 4
Sabsa Prime - Sense lite 4.1
Trickdroid - Full Sense 4.1
Find you flavor...
I've tested and used all three. IMHO Virtuous is laggy but runs sense 4.0 full.
TrickDroid v2 and 3 were great, good performance and an incredible tweak package. Have always a backup of v2 in my sd. Last v4 versión has some resizing issues and has more sense full parts.
Finally Sabsa performs very good and now almost perfect but runs sense 4 lite, more adecute to single core dhd.
Just give a try to every one and stay on your preferences.
Enjoy flashing.

Thats true, but sabsa is a less intensive rom because its a sense 4 lite build. Virtuous is still in beta so we have to be patient to see what they come up with;TrickDroid is amazing but I have noticed lags with it as well as some rendering issues from portrate to landscape but its a "full sense 4" build so I guess that expected.
Sabsa ---- smoothness and great (some sense 4 features are not availble)
Trickdroid ----- full sense exprience (lags and rendering issues at the moment)
Virtuous-----great in its current state but still in beta

virtuous
Virtuous is very fast and nice! But for me it was not stable :/
ViperDHD
Now the new ViperDHD seems to be very amazing! I cant say that much about it, because i have flashed it one hour before, but my first impression is: best ROM i ever had Now i just need to use my phone a bit more to find out bugs or things that i dont like
If you really want a Sense 4.0 ROM, go with the ViperDHD, it has the best customisability. And since it was made by Torxx and Team Venom, it's probably like TrickDroid, but better.
I use Sabsa Prime. I remove all social network programs, install virtuous_infinity-v1.35.0-ace_kernel_20120917 from HERE and now it's a best rom for me!:good:
viperDHD
yes, definitely, its a great rom, but, i dont know, it drains battery a lot. and performance seems to be little bit slow than sabsa 8.5.
I am currently using Sabsa Prime 8.5. I love it. I have not found any major bugs. The only thing I found not working was panorama and burst mode on the camera. You will find the most current thread in the Desire HD section since they are relatively the same phone. It is ICS 4.0.4 with Sense 4.1. It is fast and smooth. It is my daily driver.

I really cannot complain about trickdroid, but viperdhd is so laggy and overloaded

Who knows, it is possible to run Sabsa Prime 8.5 with TrickDroid tweaks?
I have read on some forums that's perfect rom: stable, fast from Sabsa with tweaks from TrickDroid.

Though it is possible (there's a thread in General about that combination) the TrickDroid dev feels that it's disrespectful and asked that it be taken down.
I've tried sabsa and trick droid. Out of the two of them I liked sabsa better. It seemed more complete. For example on trick droid long press the home button and the multitasking at the bottom was cut off. I didn't get that in sabsa everything fit on the screen as it should. Also for me sabsa has zero lag. Just my thoughts.

I like Sabsa Prime best, because it doesnt have any major bugs.
It simply works and that very well. The other ones all have minor issues that kept annoying me. But they are of course usable.

Hi everyone,
Any suggestions for ROMs to try out on my Desire?
I've run both cyanogen and MIUI and I like them both... but trying some more out would be fun too.
A link to any suggested ROMs would also be appreciated.
Oxygen 2.3.1 with GO Launcher EX. (GB 2.3.7)
http://forum.oxygen.im/viewforum.php?id=7
for trackball wakeup: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1063578
I'm Using Oxygen for a long time now.
even thought it isn't heavily customizeable as the CM7,
it has enough feature as setCPU, power widgets on top...
but! the main feature is speed. it's working extremely smooth, and latest gingerbread.
i love it.
I've used and tried a lot of roms for both AOSP and Sense. I do prefer AOSP. I used to use CM7 but I use MIUI now. Want keen on other AOSP roms.
Punched in..
At the moment I´m testing between Revolution 1.7 and Runny 3.x
Revolution seems stable, but sense 3.5 looks good.

Looks interesting, I'll give it a try. I find MIUI very smooth too, and the battery life is also great.
I dont think you even need to guess what ROM I use
I'm using this sense 3.5 candy.
Stock GB by Neophyte. And I'm through with constant flashing. I had enough of that nice big cup of bugs.
SwiftKeyed from my HTC Desire using XDA App.
GingerVillain 3.3 (aosp), RT's 3.1 HAVS kernel, Go Launcher Ex.
Smooth, stable, no lags or fc's, good battery life, launcher is highly customizable. Keep trying Sense rom's (3.0 and 3.5) but always come back to this
Cyanogen 7.1 and I love it.
Insertcoin Sense 1.1.3..
...although I'm getting tempted by Sense 3.5 Roms.
I use Redux 2 . Clean, fast, stable.
Please use the Q&A Forum for questions Thanks
Moving to Q&A
AOSP ROMs are the best for me (IMHO, sense roms are too overloaded) and there it's currently rootSU's dGB rom which is the best for me. Smooth (smoothest AOSP ever used), clean (uses only 60 MB of /system), stable and very nice battery life with ManU 1.4 (kernel)vipermod (for lowering CPU voltage) and setcpu (for controlling cpu frequencies).
But maybe I will test redux in the near future, because it was my first AOSP rom and I liked it very much. However, dGB hasn't given me any reason to this yet.

I'm using this one as well, currently version 3.6. Fast and stable, only minor bugs, looking forward to 4.0 w/ wifi fixed! Wish it had Google CarMode preinstalled though, can't get it running. And hope the bootlogo gets changed, that jingle is annoying.

Any Sense ROM
I get 36 hours using it normally on any Sense ROM (2.1, 3.0 or 3.5)
etc. ncessuch
I have dont have the most experience but of the roms I have tried, I found MokeeOS to have the best battery life - about 36 hours with texts, facebook & email checking and maps use.
I have used the following ROMs
1. stock sense
2. MIUI-AU
3.MIUI-XJ
4. MIUI Mararge
5. MokeeOS
6. Jellybean pre-alfa
I like MokeeOS the best but really like some of Jelly Beans features even though not everything works

Hmmm, in general Sense ROMs are the most battery-draining of all, especially the 3 and 3.5 ones (just imagine that the stock Desire came with just a version of Sense 1.0).
Rule of thumb is that the more "stripped" the ROM, the better the battery life will be. Therefore any AOSP ROM will generate maximum battery life.
It depends, but you can try any of the miui ROMs, or if you prefer sense ROMs you can try aurora.
A AOSP like oxygen or CM based rom should be fine.
For CM based kernels use ManU HAVS BFS Kernel or CronMod Kernel. Both are great oh battery!
For oxygen use Thalamus kernel or mod8 (which is the same thing with Smartass cpu governor).

If you want overclock capabilities use that kernel and nofrills CPU control delete batterystats.bin at 100% then hold it on charger for an additional 20-30 minutes. I also face problem using the Chinese Pinyin input (nothing's come out when typing). This function also very important for me. I found that the HTC_IME.apk is around 4MB whereelse the HTC_IME.apk in my ARHD 7.0 is 10MB. So I think there must be something missing in the new ICS keyboard. I try to reflash and come out error "Unfortunately, HTC Sense Input has stopped". I hope this problem is solved and I am now restored to ARHD 7.0

Sabsa / trickdroid
Sabsa is good and they keep up with updates, I just tried trickdroid 4.0 which was really smooth as well. Trickdroid offers a tweak aroma installer which is barely functional but you can get some extras there too like brightness control by sliding notification bar.
Virtuous has a stable kernel that has been used in many roms. Try all three and see which one fits best

I didn't mention which was Full Sense or which was lite Sense. But you got a point on that part. I haven't personally tried out Trickdroid, but if you want a full Sense 4.1, then try that out too. Sabsa is a mix, but it runs flawlessly on my phone.

Sabsa Prime and ViperDHD
Sabsa Prime and ViperDHD are both very very smooth and fast roms. I tested Sabsa Prime over weeks and I was very happy with it. Now I changed to ViperDHD cause of the big tweaks which are very nice. I dont see any bugs for now, it seems to be the new best Sense rom
I've found that all Sense 4.0/4.1 ROMs have little quirks to them. ViperDHD is probably the best out right now. I gave it a try, but to me all Sense 4 ROMs have this blurry look to them (since they've been downscaled from higher res screen devices).

To fix the camera u've to flash this patch after the rom (will be integrated in the next release).
Hi all,
I'm currently looking for the fastest / best performing HTC Desire Rom.
As I'm playing Ingress, its really slow and closes very often. I was thinking flashing a Rom without Sense, as it would probably perform better.
I guess 2.3 is faster than the new built? Or is it the other way around?
Let me know if you have any suggestions, or if I should use a 2.3 no-sense Rom?

I would recommend AOKP VJ 4.2.2 Jelly Bean v2.1. In my eyes it is one of the fastest, smoothest and most stable CM 10.1 based ROMs at the moment. I appreciate that it constantly keeps the mem free above 100mb.
i'd say Mildwild roms are the fastest and most stable.
Been using them for a long time now....still very pleased with them.
They have a few small issues, but overall...the fastest roms available if u ask me.
Currently running MW9.5 Redux, but used MW8 before....i find MW8 a little bit faster and better...it's got a few more options than MW9.5
...hoping for and upgrade of the MW8 version....
Wanted to say thx for all your suggestions. I'm running 4.2.2 VJ CM 10.1 now, and its awesome.
Pretty fast, and i got plenty of RAM, so Ingress does not close when minimizing (not everytime at least)
Thx! :highfive:
