If you want overclock capabilities use that kernel and nofrills CPU control delete batterystats.bin at 100% then hold it on charger for an additional 20-30 minutes. Then reboot phone, there will be a new batterystats file made on next boot up. I have 1300mhz max , 445mhz minimum and battery lasts for almost a day and a half, with moderate use,

I also face problem using the Chinese Pinyin input (nothing's come out when typing). This function also very important for me. I found that the HTC_IME.apk is around 4MB whereelse the HTC_IME.apk in my ARHD 7.0 is 10MB. So I think there must be something missing in the new ICS keyboard. I try to reflash and come out error "Unfortunately, HTC Sense Input has stopped". I hope this problem is solved and I am now restored to ARHD 7.0
Sabsa Prime is a very great ROM with good battery lasting. :good:
Another bug is my WhatsApp sometimes doesn't notify me. Maybe something to do with the Radio.

I have just tried the one in the topic and i really like it. Camera works fine, there is so many options to customize it but the only thing is that GPS does not even start to get a fix, thought they say it works fine. What can be the the problem? I can't even ask them directly as the new member..

IceColdSandwich 7.3...so far...
I'm running LordClockan's IceColdSandwich 7.3 and I can get everything working. Using an AT&T Inspire 4G in the U.S. Camera works, for video I use VideocamIllusion, works great. It's got a small footprint (ROMs are less than 150M in size), is light, quick, snapy, and gets to the point whenever launching an app. Every Sense 3.5 ROM I've tried has been laggy in comparison (mind you, IMHO, Sense vs. AOKP is nowhere near a "fair fight"), and I always end up coming back to this AOKP-based piece of win!

Amen brother, I agree!
The only issue I seem to have with it is when I try to use the "AOKP-DesireHD-CobaltPort" theme with it in the 7.4 test 6 version...gives me a popup error right after booting up....but that's why it's a test version, I guess....7.3 Final is pretty much flawless for me though.

In the newest version (8.5) of IceColdSandwich the camera works great, and the camcorder works up to 480p. Everything else works perfectly, including wifi. If you experience low wifi signal, there is an included app (WifixManager) which enhances the wifi. Mine wifi works great even without 'engaging' the WifixManager.

Any Sense ROM
I get 36 hours using it normally on any Sense ROM (2.1, 3.0 or 3.5)
etc. ncessuch
I have dont have the most experience but of the roms I have tried, I found MokeeOS to have the best battery life - about 36 hours with texts, facebook & email checking and maps use.
I have used the following ROMs
1. stock sense
2. MIUI-AU
3.MIUI-XJ
4. MIUI Mararge
5. MokeeOS
6. Jellybean pre-alfa
I like MokeeOS the best but really like some of Jelly Beans features even though not everything works

Hmmm, in general Sense ROMs are the most battery-draining of all, especially the 3 and 3.5 ones (just imagine that the stock Desire came with just a version of Sense 1.0).
Rule of thumb is that the more "stripped" the ROM, the better the battery life will be. Therefore any AOSP ROM will generate maximum battery life.
It depends, but you can try any of the miui ROMs, or if you prefer sense ROMs you can try aurora.
A AOSP like oxygen or CM based rom should be fine.
For CM based kernels use ManU HAVS BFS Kernel or CronMod Kernel. Both are great oh battery!
For oxygen use Thalamus kernel or mod8 (which is the same thing with Smartass cpu governor).

[Q] Virtuous Infinity vs TrickDroid vs Sabsa Prime

I am confused among those three ROMs, which is the best, to be used on daily bases, among those:
Virtuous Infinity 1.35 beta
TrickDroid 4.0.0
Sabsa Prime 8.5
?
thanks
I tested All of this 3 and all are very good, but in my mind Sabsa Prime is the best. Very Smooth, nearly No lag, just everything is working perfect and the battery Life is amazing. U have to Test it by urself but i think sabsa prime is the best!
Sent from my HTC Desire HD with Sabsa Prime.
Virtuous Infinity - Sense 4
Sabsa Prime - Sense 4.1
Trickdroid - Sense 4.1
They are all great Roms. But the best of 'em? That's up to the user themselves.......and what you tweak! Good Luck.
- hit my thanks button if i helped you -
Infinity - Full Sense 4
Sabsa Prime - Sense lite 4.1
Trickdroid - Full Sense 4.1
Find you flavor...
I've tested and used all three. IMHO Virtuous is laggy but runs sense 4.0 full.
TrickDroid v2 and 3 were great, good performance and an incredible tweak package. Have always a backup of v2 in my sd. Last v4 versión has some resizing issues and has more sense full parts.
Finally Sabsa performs very good and now almost perfect but runs sense 4 lite, more adecute to single core dhd.
Just give a try to every one and stay on your preferences.
Enjoy flashing.

Thats true, but sabsa is a less intensive rom because its a sense 4 lite build. Virtuous is still in beta so we have to be patient to see what they come up with;TrickDroid is amazing but I have noticed lags with it as well as some rendering issues from portrate to landscape but its a "full sense 4" build so I guess that expected.
Sabsa ---- smoothness and great (some sense 4 features are not availble)
Trickdroid ----- full sense exprience (lags and rendering issues at the moment)
Virtuous-----great in its current state but still in beta

Virtuous is very fast and nice! But for me it was not stable :/
ViperDHD
Now the new ViperDHD seems to be very amazing! I cant say that much about it, because i have flashed it one hour before, but my first impression is: best ROM i ever had Now i just need to use my phone a bit more to find out bugs or things that i dont like
If you really want a Sense 4.0 ROM, go with the ViperDHD, it has the best customisability. And since it was made by Torxx and Team Venom, it's probably like TrickDroid, but better.
I use Sabsa Prime. I remove all social network programs, install virtuous_infinity-v1.35.0-ace_kernel_20120917 from HERE and now it's a best rom for me!:good:
viperDHD
yes, definitely, its a great rom, but, i dont know, it drains battery a lot. and performance seems to be little bit slow than sabsa 8.5.
I am currently using Sabsa Prime 8.5. I love it. I have not found any major bugs. The only thing I found not working was panorama and burst mode on the camera. You will find the most current thread in the Desire HD section since they are relatively the same phone. It is ICS 4.0.4 with Sense 4.1. It is fast and smooth. It is my daily driver.

Though it is possible (there's a thread in General about that combination) the TrickDroid dev feels that it's disrespectful and asked that it be taken down.
I've tried sabsa and trick droid. Out of the two of them I liked sabsa better. It seemed more complete. For example on trick droid long press the home button and the multitasking at the bottom was cut off. I didn't get that in sabsa everything fit on the screen as it should. Also for me sabsa has zero lag. Just my thoughts.

I like Sabsa Prime best, because it doesnt have any major bugs.
It simply works and that very well. The other ones all have minor issues that kept annoying me. But they are of course usable.

Sabsa / trickdroid
Sabsa is good and they keep up with updates, I just tried trickdroid 4.0 which was really smooth as well. Trickdroid offers a tweak aroma installer which is barely functional but you can get some extras there too like brightness control by sliding notification bar.
Virtuous has a stable kernel that has been used in many roms. Try all three and see which one fits best

I didn't mention which was Full Sense or which was lite Sense. But you got a point on that part. I haven't personally tried out Trickdroid, but if you want a full Sense 4.1, then try that out too. Sabsa is a mix, but it runs flawlessly on my phone.

Sabsa Prime and ViperDHD
Sabsa Prime and ViperDHD are both very very smooth and fast roms. I tested Sabsa Prime over weeks and I was very happy with it. Now I changed to ViperDHD cause of the big tweaks which are very nice. I dont see any bugs for now, it seems to be the new best Sense rom
I've found that all Sense 4.0/4.1 ROMs have little quirks to them. ViperDHD is probably the best out right now. I gave it a try, but to me all Sense 4 ROMs have this blurry look to them (since they've been downscaled from higher res screen devices).

To fix the camera u've to flash this patch after the rom (will be integrated in the next release).

Cant install Suprimo Rom

It seems the install always fails for me. When the aroma istaller starts I pick all my options, then start the install. It's says formating this, formating that. The bar starts to move then stops. Then next lights up but get logs is greyed out. I restart and it just hangs at boot. Not the boot animation but the screen before it. I was thinking the kernel, but I've tried every sense kernel I have, no good. Is there something special I have to do? Its the same with v23 and it comes with a kernel. But can someone please say exactly what kernel version you are using? Everyone just keeps saying kiss but not which version. I've tried 10 kiss and same thing. Also I'm running mysense 3.5. Any benifit to run suprimo v30 over that? Thank you.

it did happened to me once but i used this rom long back at that time i was using kiss kernel (latest) but concidering if this is a kernel problem you can try the boot.img from the zip...
the thing which forced me to change mySense 3.5 was that it lagged a lot.. SuPrimo doesn't have full sense so SuPrimo should be smoother..
but you can try MyOneV rc 9.5 FX+ by ckpv5 it is way more awesome .. and is the best rom that i have used so far...
Hope this helps you..:fingers-crossed:

So come on no one knows? Why would suprimo fail to install? Shouldn't it work with any kiss/sense kernel if that's the prob? There's gotta be something I'm missing. I wish someone had of told me you cant use TWRP. Really hard to get help around here And yeah all the sense roms kill my battery without using it. I bought my phone for a camera and a GPS. And both of those don't work well at all in the CM's.
With CM9 works Camera and GPS verry good for me. And Accu drains only 2-4% per day without use. As Kernel i use HELLBOY-CM9-201302142348.
Does it have the sense camera? Cause all the cameras in any JB ROM I've tried took some pretty ugly pics. The sense camera is awesome. I tried it quickly but realized cm10 had way more
options and was newer so I deleted it. ) Weird how sense ROMs kill the battery like that. Running cm10 all day. Went fishing, used my gps, listened to the radio, made some calls at 56%. On sense it dies just sitting there.

Thanks. It does seem better. I wonder does it use the image chip? My main thing with the sense camera is how good moving shots are. No blur. I'll test pro capture in a car tommorow. Are there any known cameras that do use sense chip on jb?
