Need ROM recomendation.

Hello,
Im curently using latest LeeDrOiD , but im having issues with 720p video recording lagg si im looking for another ROM.
Thats probably because of my slow SD.
Atm. Im not planing to new one.
So im looking for another ROM :

I'm pretty sure another rom won't make your sd-card faster, so if that is the reason, what makes you think changing roms will help?

Errm im not looking to speed up my sd card
I just need ROM with 720p and sense working like on stock.

I dont think there are any GB roms at the moment that can give you smooth 720p recording. Actually i believe that the phone itself simply cant do it. I ve done a lot of testing with different roms but all of them had crappy 720 recording.
So I stick with cm7 nightlies, expecting the official release of GB and hoping for a better kernel and better drivers that may fix the problem.

Frankly, I think recommending ports which are notorious for their camera performance is silly. I think there was only one aosp rom which had acceptable playback, but no recording.

Stock sense gb 2.3.3 ROM , don't care bout quadrant , everything runs fine , sense 3.0 looks good and even 720p work's

InsertCoin is very nice, both nightly and stable work fine

If you like LeeDroid try 2.5 - From memory it has decent camera performance.

Errm I don't like gayphone clones , so miui -> not.
I'll wait for leedroid updates , till that I'll stay on current ROM.

Superb ROM - Once I'd managed to install it (only recently acquired a Desire from a Hero upgrade) it's been excellent.
I can't find fault: Bluetooth (inc car kit), camera, video, iPlayer, GPS, Speed etc etc all running nice and smooth.

[DEV Question] For devs who actually did it. Porting libs (Cam & BT)

Well I am no dev like most know. But I do (still) want to get a froyo ROM working with Cam and BT.
From what I know SFM and all the other GB sense roms run on the libs from the CM team.
What I like to know is what I need to do to get Choclate froyo a working Camera and maybe if possible Working BT like in those sense roms.
those only work awesome with my room radio system. the rest of sense roms doesnt. Well the audio works but the next and previous buttons on my radio just make me music stop for 1 sec and then it continue's and then after a while it will skip the times I pressed on the button. With those GB roms its instant.
Hope some could help me/us out here.

To my understanding so far v r gonna have to decompile the liboemcamera.so file which will show us the the function calls from libm.so then compare them to cm sources replace necessary functions,and find any parameters changed,basically i was trying this when working on rose but i ain't having luck wit zoom n wit my exams goin on not much time to understand it...fr a start I've been trying to figure this wit hex rays decompiler....although its way more complicated than this , it might give u a place to start....

True but its base different from chocolate sense alot core files simply can't b interchanged ,like v do in aosp roms....

Exactly, my next big project will be on Hero Latte or Tegro.

I like HeroLatte more then Choclate sense but the naggy thing about Herolatte is the fact it does not save basic settings when you reboot like was Wifi on, was BT on, BT name and that kind of stuff.
here are the libs
Clibs.zip are the libs from choclate froyo and the herolatte libs are from Herolatte with already a working cam.

Could u check fr a libm.so file too?

EDIT in here are 2 folders one of Choclatefroyo with the requested lib and one from Herolatte with the same lib.

Did you had to be sarcastic again??? And yes I want to get that rom working. cuss I have been running HeroLatte the whole day and its CRAP. Freezes here and there. some weird custom lockscreen and some other stuff I don't like Choclatefroyo just works XD Well mostly, not tested BT audio.

Did you try Tegro. Was my favorite sense froyo for long time, but camera is no go there.

@Lira download hex editor fr a start n try figuring out how to edit on it considering atleast ull b able to see my fav c language syntax
Compare to an aosp rom n try fixing lib files
Look only into liboemcamera.so fr starters,if no go try libm.so
Wish they gave us source code like aosp though,life would have been alot easier

tegro was sense eclair, not sense froyo. the phone it was ported from DID get updated to froyo and that is the os that herolatte was based upon, more or less, I think.

SKYPE FIX on custom ROMS?

hI, IS there a Skype fix for front & back video not showing? during Skype call? I'm running Bindroid & coredroid & ICS but no luck....I installed the previous hack skype version but it still wont work . thanks.

Probably because your running sense 3.5 and ics...try a stock rom or cm7

Skype video "works" on my cm9 builds, but the other person sees you with a strange green color.
So if you want to really use Skype, stick to the more stable roms.

so all sense 3.5 ROMS are not supported? I thought when they said Final build ROMS are bug free.

And I thought when developers issues the "Final ROM" its stable & bug free.
like bindroid & coredroid ...I like how they almost customize all the icons. But skype is my thing too.
I like your ICS cm9 but...it's the camcorder that's holding me back...I like taking videos .., Also I thought the Adreno 205 driver was out already? It should fix the camera right? thanks. Or is't the kernel?

The Rom I am using for several month now without any issues see below..
Skype works with either camera.. when I plug headphones in while Skype active it will use those..
No GSM .. but I do not need it anyways..
Ah oh .. yes it is 3.5.. with adreno drivers, but maybe not the latest one?!
Install also the amazon prime video app of the amazon fire.. with voodoo temp unroot works great.

Thank you Aerovan! Finally, you have confirmed the green Martian problem I've been having with Skype on AOKP . Happy to know that this is a known problem. Was worried that this was an issue with my phone.

I say just drop Skype if you like ICS and want to use video chat.
Google + works fine.

Qiss rom review (Imp)

i found very strange that where all the desire jb roms on xda are unstable and camera and video playbck is not working,amazingly this taiwenese qiss rom there is no video flickering error and camera is working like a charm.its 99% stable too.i request to developers here plz if u can contact these guyz and find out the solution in xda roms also?????????
And also video recording is working at 25-30 fps.And this rom does not crash at all even then it is only a beta release

yup using it daily! and it is damn stable! everything works .. only thing missing is a2sd script support(only on ICS.. scripts working fine on JB version)

Problem is that they aren't releasing any source code. We can't do much without it. You're welcome to spam the f out of them

Giving it a try now, I think keep on bothering them to release source is the best thing to do, they have to at some point in accordance with opensource licenses

As I have read they have stop for developing on the qiss room for every device.

I have sent them an email a week ago. No response. Maybe if more people ask, they may release some source code or give some help.

ok no worry... i tried it on ICS and indeed it does not work .. i am using link2sd(on market) for now and working fine.
how stable is JB version? last time i tried i got sms notification issues and camera sometimes does not start as i get force close on gallery; was using m2sd

Well i am using the jb version from quite some time and its more than stable ,camera and video working like a charm no fc.well i can say these qiss rom people are genius....
I use int2ext4+ from crony

Anyone managed to get daemon controller working on the qiss rom? I tried but cpu scheduling settings dont persist... This could help with the battery drain..

haven't tried daemon controller but i am using jelly bean version and the battery is pretty amazing! i can get more than 2days with light use and with moderate use(wifi all day and some gaming(temple run lol)), i am on 1d 20h 49min and it is still 21%!
On ICS, battery was much weaker (but was still decent)

Cant install Suprimo Rom

It seems the install always fails for me. When the aroma istaller starts I pick all my options, then start the install. It's says formating this, formating that. The bar starts to move then stops. Then next lights up but get logs is greyed out. I restart and it just hangs at boot. Not the boot animation but the screen before it. I was thinking the kernel, but I've tried every sense kernel I have, no good. Is there something special I have to do? Its the same with v23 and it comes with a kernel. But can someone please say exactly what kernel version you are using? Everyone just keeps saying kiss but not which version. I've tried 10 kiss and same thing. Also I'm running mysense 3.5. Any benifit to run suprimo v30 over that? Thank you.

it did happened to me once but i used this rom long back at that time i was using kiss kernel (latest) but concidering if this is a kernel problem you can try the boot.img from the zip...
the thing which forced me to change mySense 3.5 was that it lagged a lot.. SuPrimo doesn't have full sense so SuPrimo should be smoother..
but you can try MyOneV rc 9.5 FX+ by ckpv5 it is way more awesome .. and is the best rom that i have used so far...

Suprimo v30 dosent have a boot file with it. I have myone, but for me mysense seems better for what I do. I removed myone due to lags xD. I have tried every kiss version I could find. It's driving me nuts. Thanks.

you say MySense has less lags than MyOneV..?? that's really strange buddy...

Yeah. For me anyway. Games run better and my GPS seems quicker and more accurate. I just got my phone a week ago. I've tried 30 Roma in that time. Mysense and CM10 seem the best so far. What are you running?

As you see buddy in my signature i run MyOneV rc 9.5 FX+ according to me this is best rom for everyday use i also tried mySense .the only problem was that it felt too laggy fr me..at times even pressing the app drawer button would give me a feel of lag...MyOne V is free from alll this...

So come on no one knows? Why would suprimo fail to install? Shouldn't it work with any kiss/sense kernel if that's the prob? There's gotta be something I'm missing. Do I have to do anything different? If not, again please what exact version of kiss is confirmed working? I really like all the install options.

Dude u are right if the Rom is working on other devices its should work on ur primou also...
There can be however another possibility at the Rom didn't download properly so some files are missing try extracting the whole
Rom on your pc .....if it does not extrac/or gives any kind of error then
U will have to dl the Rom again...
But I will also try installing this Rom and will let u know what happens...:fingers-crossed:

Yeah I figured it out. It was because I was using TWRP. CWM worked NP.

I have CM9 running. Is verry smoth and have the best Batterylife for me. :good:
And yes, SuPrimu cant install per TWRP, you must use CWM.

I wish someone had of told me you cant use TWRP. Really hard to get help around here And yeah all the sense roms kill my battery without using it. I bought my phone for a camera and a GPS. And both of those don't work well at all in the CM's.

With CM9 works Camera and GPS verry good for me. And Accu drains only 2-4% per day without use. As Kernel i use HELLBOY-CM9-201302142348.

Does it have the sense camera? Cause all the cameras in any JB ROM I've tried took some pretty ugly pics. The sense camera is awesome. I tried it quickly but realized cm10 had way more
options and was newer so I deleted it. ) Weird how sense ROMs kill the battery like that. Running cm10 all day. Went fishing, used my gps, listened to the radio, made some calls at 56%. On sense it dies just sitting there.

On CM Roms i use ProCapture.

Thanks. It does seem better. I wonder does it use the image chip? My main thing with the sense camera is how good moving shots are. No blur. I'll test pro capture in a car tommorow. Are there any known cameras that do use sense chip on jb?
