Hi All
I want to share you an Amazing and Perfect Cyanogenmod Updater App
CyanDelta Updater
Tired of download 200 MB everyday to get your latest CM nightly?
CyanDelta lets you update your CyanogenMod ROM by downloading just a small delta file (about 10 MB) instead of a big full zip file each time. With CyanDelta you can finally update your ROM in just some minutes even with a slow and expensive 2G or 3G connection!
CyanDelta is a perfect “CM Updater” and “ROM Manager” replacement, since it can notify you when new updates are available and it can also automatically install the new zips via recovery.
Main features:
✓ Security: all downloaded data is digitally signed by us to prevent manomissions.
✓ Recovery zip install: it can automatically reboot to recovery, install the ROM zip and other additional zips (kernel, modem...), wipe dalvik cache and reboot (requires root)
✓ Update notification: when a ROM update is available, CyanDelta will notify you!
✓ High efficiency deltas: it uses the RFC3284 VCDIFF algorithm and some magic to produce really small deltas.
✓ Supports TWRP and CWM-based recovery (but not the closed-source ClockworkMod, since it's locked down by its author to only work with ROM Manager). If you have an unsupported recovery just manually install the zips generated by CyanDelta.
✓ Supports all official CyanogenMod ROMs and devices listed in http://get.cm
============================================

I have recommend to flash the zip manually, you see the OP
Epic4g user had bootloop too if automatically flash
But I don't know for other devices, it bootloop or not
Try to flash zip again from recovery

Add the warning about Bootloop on OP
Maybe epic4g and galaxy s had bootloop if tap "Install Zip"
But I don't know about another devices, maybe it works to tap "Install Zip"
For safety, just flash Manually

Hey,
Great looking app, love the delta feature. A quick little question... if you leave the app to automatically check for updates, will it also automatically reboot to flash the rom after? It's not clear in the app itself and my device won't work like this (need to manually flash boot.img). At the moment I am just checking manually.
Would also love to see a "check on wi-fi only" type option, but otherwise great work.

great app
I have using this app on my Galaxy S with CM10 for a few days now. I update the zip and i install imedialty and no BOOTLOOP. I dont use "install zip" option.
Yesterday I decided to check how Install zip feature works on my Galaxy S with the cm10 20121021. So, I choosed installing external zip file after upgrading the main ROM. It was Semaphore kernel. Next I pushed sync, it synced, then pushed update button, it downloaded deltas, then reboot and updating from CWM automatically. All operations went smoothly, Semaphore kernel was installed right after the rom, then reboot, few minutes of semaphore logo show, then cm circle and that's it! No boot loops. Maybe I'm just simply lucky...

Currently running the the cm-10-20121024-NIGHTLY-i9300 for my Galaxy S3, heard about this fantastic app and figured I would give it a whirl. Installed, pointed it to the 24th Zip, it found the latest Nightly (27th) and downloaded accordingly - so far so good .
When I went to install though - using the Install Zip button (also gave it a SuperSU zip to install after) - it booted in CWM but failed shortly after (went to quick for me to read).
I then went ahead and installed manually like suggested - went off without a hitch. I just wanted to point out my experience, are you aware of the issue on the GS3 and fixing it, do you need me to provide any logs or anything to help?
Cheers!
I just updated the rom with the ''install zip" option and everything went smooth.

I am loving cyanogen, but I am definitely missing something when I flash google apps. I get to the installation, but when I try to install it always gets interrupted. I try to skip it, but I cannot get back to it later, opening market does not work. How am I supposed to come back to install gapps later?

Re-download the gapps.zip, put it on your SD card, go into cwm > flash gapps.zip > reboot.
It should work. If not, then extract the zip and copy the .apks one-by-one to your SD card, and push them to your system/app. Not sure if that would actually work, but it's possible.
Reflashing doesn't do anything I just tried it again. The only way to get it to try installing again is to wipe data, then I have to sign back in and I get interrupted again. There is a way to cancel it to come back later but when I hit cancel I can't figure out how to come back.
Sent from my SPH-D700 using XDA App
you're making sure to flash the gapps.zip from the cwm recovery, right? it has to be on the root of your sdcard, then boot into recovery and go to "install zip from sdcard" -> "choose zip" -> scroll to gapps.zip
Yep I am doing it that way, just tried again right now and nothing happens on reboot unless I do a factory reset. If I just knew how to come back to it later it would be ok

1. Clear data, dalvik, cache - rinse and repeat 3 times total.
2. Re-odin EH17 stock, found in the dev forum. Let the phone boot to startup.
3. Boot into CWM recovery, flash the GAPPS file.
4. Restart phone - check to see if the flash took.
5. Boot into CWM recovery, clear dalvik, cache 3 times, flash CM7 over EH17 stock...
Let me know if this process works for you.
May or may not work, it would solve the problem temporarily for me but would soon have problems. I shortly moved away from CM7 to Urban Metamorphosis.
OK, thanks I might give that a try, if it was just a temporary fix for you though it will probably only work for a while for me too. Doesn't anyone know how to postpone running it? It says to do so right when the app runs, but no one knows how to do it?
You don't need to flash the GAPPS pack - only if you want to use the market, sync contacts etc. and use voice/maps so on. If you continually cannot get past try ODIN'ing a different modem. EH06 worked much better for me over EH17.
I'm uing eh06 modem. Never went to eh17
Anyways, I downloaded all the gapps from the market one by one. I flashed the zip and they didn't show up so I did it the long way

Introduction:
Team Win Recovery Project 2.1, or twrp2 for short, is a custom recovery built with ease of use and customization in mind. We started from the ground up by taking AOSP recovery and loading it with the standard recovery options, then added a lot of our own features. It’s a fully touch driven user interface – no more volume rocker or power buttons to mash. The GUI is also fully XML driven and completely theme-able. You can change just about every aspect of the look and feel.

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Key Features:
Touchscreen driven with real buttons and drag-to-scroll
XML-based GUI that allows full customization of the layout – true theming!
Settings are saved to the sdcard and persist through reboots
Ability to choose which partitions to back up and which to restore
Ability to choose to compress backups – now with pigz (multi-core processor support for faster compression times)
What's new in 2.1:
Zip queuing as seen in TWRP 1.1.x is back
Slider control (swipe to confirm most actions aka swipe to wipe)
Lockscreen (with slider to unlock)
Basic file manager (copy, move, delete, and chmod any file)
Added support for devices with /data/media (most Honeycomb tablets, new ICS devices like Galaxy Nexus)
Displays sizes of each partition in the backup menu
Added listbox GUI element (currently used for listing time zones)
Updated stock XML layouts to be more consistent and easier to port to different resolutions
XML layout files are significantly smaller
Partitions available backup are more accurate for some devices
Removed unneeded error messages (/misc errors, unable to stat sd-ext, etc.)
Fixed a bug with blkid detection code
Fixed bug where a blank line was inserted between every line of text during zip installs
Fixed a bug during zip installs where an invalid zip would cause TWRP to get stuck in the zip install
Added setting for themers to toggle simulation mode to make theming easier
New devices added - Galaxy Nexus GSM & CDMA (preview only, manual install), Acer Iconia Tab A500, HTC Vivid, Motorola Defy
Added support for .jpg images in the theme engine
Changed images for stock tablet theme - makes tablet builds about 500KB smaller
Removed unneeded non-GUI images from GUI - makes all builds about 100KB smaller
In addition to the above new features, TWRP 2.1.0 now features a scripting engine that allows an app to send commands to the recovery for the recovery to perform during startup. We call this scripting engine OpenRecoveryScript. This engine will be put to use immediately in the GooManager app. GooManager will be able to install recoveries automatically for most supported devices. The app will also let you choose to install multiple zips from within Android, wipe cache & dalvik, and run a backup.

HTC Dumlock -- Now flash kernels in recovery without S-off
TWRP 2 Instructions:
Install the build of TWRP using your method of choice, but you must actually flash TWRP to recovery. No fastboot booting it. We need it in recovery so that this build of TWRP will be flashed to your boot. This new build of TWRP has features in it to easily restore your original boot.
Reboot into recovery.
Make a backup of your phone.
Tap Advanced.
Tap HTC Dumlock. (If you don't see HTC Dumlock then you need to remove any custom TWRP theme that you might be using.)
Tap Install HTC Dumlock. This will install the app and binaries needed to make everything work nicely.
Reboot your device.
Find and open the HTC Dumlock app.
If/when prompted, give the app root (SuperUser) permissions.
Tap the Execute HTC Dumlock button.
Wait patiently for a couple of minutes. It takes a little while.
If your device doesn't reboot automatically, reboot it manually. Reboot it normally. DO NOT reboot it to recovery.
You should now be in your recovery, but your recovery is flashed into boot.
Tap Advanced.
Tap HTC Dumlock.
Tap Restore Original Boot.
Use your recovery like normal. Flash a new kernel. Restore a backup with a different kernel. Do whatever you please!
Consider donating!
Note, you must repeat steps 8 through 18 EVERY TIME you need to flash boot.

Can this be installed via terminal emulator by chance? I'm not too sure what the commands would be if so......

I'm not entirely sure who is building these, maybe they are just being automatically built by goo.im, but you can find new builds of TWRP2(latest one is 2.3.1.0 as of right now) over here: http://goo.im/devs/OpenRecovery/primoc. I've flashed 2.3.1.0 and it is working perfectly on my VM PrimoC.
I figured many people may not even know about these, seeing as the OP has not been updated in a while. Can you shed some light on this, JMZ?
I am sure you don't need GB27 but for the sake of continuity I am providing it.
First of all a huge thanks to Sextape for the GB27 release. Thanks to Calkulin for use of the install script. Thanks to Chainfire for SuperSU. Thanks to Mattix724 for the install instructions which I tweaked slightly.
Flash or Odin this to get Deodexed/Odexed stock GB27 with latest root (SuperSU), su binary and Busybox 1.20.2. These Do Not include a kernel. The Odin Tars include everything else.
There is a version for no data wipe and data wipe. Make sure you don't get them mixed up.
All of the zips wipe cache and dalvik for you so no need to do that separately.
I am not responsible for anything that happens to your phone. You do this at your own risk.
DO NOT FLASH THE DATA WIPE VERSIONS UNLESS YOU ARE USING A RECOVERY THAT SUCCESSFULLY WIPES DATA ON JELLY BEAN, LIKE GARWYNN'S
This is a Jelly Bean Rom. As I stated earlier it does not include a kernel. So if you are coming from a Rom that isn't Jelly Bean you need to first install a Touchwiz based safe kernel. Like Agat's source kernel. So copy the Jelly Bean kernel to your phone. Boot into your recovery. Flash the Jelly Bean kernel and then flash this Rom. Or if you are using Odin just Odin the Jelly Bean kernel and Rom back to back.

Installation Instructions:
CWM zip method.
*Menus may vary between recoveries. The instructions below apply to Agat's recovery but may be the same or similar as other recoveries..
1. Download the ROM zip to your phone.
2. Reboot to recovery, use a known safe recovery such as Agat's source built, or the CWM EL26 directboot.
3. Put your phone in recovery mode (Shut it off, wait for lights to all go out, then hold Vup+Power).
3. Select install zip from sdcard.
4. Select choose zip from sdcard if your zip file is on the external sdcard or select choose zip from internal sdcard if you downloaded the zip right to your phone.
5. Select the zip, If you downloaded directly to your phone it is in the Download folder. Otherwise, it is wherever you put it.
6. Select Yes.
7. Wait for a moment while it installs.
8. Reboot.
9. Profit.
Odin tar method.
1. Download the tar to your computer.
2. Put your phone in download mode (Shut it off, wait for lights to all go out, then hold Vdown+Power and follow the instructions).
3. Connect the phone to the computer (You should see Odin put a Com4 or something like that in the ID:COM box. The actual number is NOT important what is important is that something popped up there when you connected your device, meaning ODIN can see it).
4. Using a Windows based computer, open Odin.
5. Make sure that only Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time is selected.
6. Click PDA.
7. Select the tar file.
8. Click start.
9. Wait while the ROM is being flashed.
10. The device will reboot and you are now running the new ROM.
11. Profit.
12. If the phone locks up, give it plenty of time if you think you waited long enough wait longer, for any reason take the battery and sdcard out and let it sit for an hour. Put it back together and try again.
Mobile Odin method.
1. Download the tar.
2. Open Mobile Odin.
3. Select Open file...
4. Check the partitions, you should have a Kernel and a System.
4A. Mobile Odin Pro users, you can choose whether or not to inject SuperSU and Mobile Odin as well as enable EverRoot, this its already rooted so no need to EverRoot.
5. Select Flash firmware, follow the prompts.
6. Your device will reboot and begin flashing the ROM.
7. Profit.
Reserved for me
Oh something new.

Is this based off of the leaked GA27, or the official release?
What is the difference between odexed and deodexed?

Leaked and there is no difference.
Don't take offense but you can Google the answer to the other question.

Yeah, i realized i could Google it, and did.
Also, There isn't any difference at all? I thought there were a few small differences.
Odexed starts up faster but with deodexed there are a ton more options for customization

Crawj: I'm a little unsure about the comment in the OP about not flashing the data wipe versions until we get a working kernel that allows factory reset. Right now I'm using SXTP-Agat's 0.3.1 kernel. Would that one be acceptable?
Thanks

No. To my knowledge, there are no GB27 kernels that will allow data wipe, except for stock. So if you need to factory reset I would first do it from the stock kernel. Then install the custom kernel and proceed. I know Garwynn is actively and aggressively working on a solution.
Garwynn's newest kernels have fixed the data wipe issues. You can now use those zips if you like.

As stupid as this sounds - Anyone have any issues with this ROM crashing and then becoming unbootable? I decided to go to stock root with this kernel a few weeks ago - middle of using it it froze, rebooted, and then got stuck on the Samsung GS2 Boot screen, never making it to the Sprint 4g boot animation. I thought it was something I did - so I reflashed and all was fine. This was with running agats recovery kernel. I also loaded this on a friends S2 and after about 2 weeks or so, same issue occurred. Was wondering if maybe I missed a step or if this was a known issue or something. I was pretty impressed with the speed, battery life, and stability of this rom except for this weird issue.

When that happens go into recovery and wipe cache and dalvik cache. This should be your first go tio thing if something isn't running right or seems off, or if things are running slow. It works wonders if you do it every couple days. JB caches everything and doesn't always wipe caches when it should.
Hi guys, I've been trying to flash the new Hyperdrive RLS11 on my AT&T Galaxy s3 and no matter what I do, my phone says cant open and aborts the installation. I can never get the Aroma installer to start. I do factory reset, wipe cache, dalvik, and format system, but it fails every time. Any ideas?
Could be a bad download. You could try grabbing it again. Also, is your recovery up to date?

I downloaded it from 3 different of his mirrors none of which worked. Im of the latest version of Clockwork mod. could it be the new update from 6.0.3 to 6.0.3.1 on clockwork? or should i use something other than clockwork
you should use twrp.. check the md5 of your download after you download it for accuracy. try that.. if it doesnt work u can always flash cwm again
Flash in twrp. Get twrp by downloading goo manager app and selecting install open recovery
Also are you grtiing a status 7 error?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using xda premium
For whatever reasons, sometimes when flashing in cwm or twrp, you will have issues and installing the other custom recovery will allow you to flash the desired ROM. you obviously then have the option to return to the custom recovery you were previously running either because you prefer it or all your backups were made in it.
Alright thanks ill try it tonight, hopefully it works

Some ROm's are picky or you have a bad download. Issues with downloading that rom seem quite common. I tend to lean more towards android file host than anything.
i'm i nthe same situation for the past 2 days i have been trying to install it , i had the problem that after flash and reboot it will reboot back to recovery , today that seems not to be happening anymore now i'm getting stuck on boot animation and i have tried every step fix anytihng you can think of and no luck , i'm running now thw rls 10 with no problems but this rls 11 is driving me crazy i'm doing a redownload se if that helps in anyway
I used twrp and it worked fine! Thanks guys

Similar problem
Hey guys
I've gone through all the steps as instructed, but can't install HD RSL15 successfully. I downloaded the installation file from a mac which then automatically unzips the folder. Zipped it back up with 7zip and threw it on the phone. I went through all the prescribed steps using TWRP 2.6 and AndroidUnite's video on youtube (How To Install TWRP Recovery And Flash Custom ROM) as example . This is the 2nd time Ive downloaded the file and I switched over from CWM based on this thread's recommendations.
When it comes to installing the ROM the window ends up looking like this:
Checking for MD5 file...
Skipping MD5 check: no MD5 file found.
Error flashing zip...
Updating partition files...
FAILED
Have I done something wrong during the previous steps (flashing, installing recovery) or does it have something to do with the method of zipping the files (tried fastest and store as compression options, doing store makes the file unreadable by the phone during recovery mode)? Please help

Flashed per instructions with Philz 6.07.9.
GPS works great after fix.
Hotspot works great.
I was getting a lot of reboots when I first flashed, but I wiped caches and installed the Shift Kernel, and that seemed to have that fixed it for a while. But now I'm getting constant reboots. When it boots, as soon as the screen times out and dims, it reboots. Perhaps I changes some setting, or restored something with Titanium that I wasn't supposed to...
If I power off the phone with the power plugged in, I get the battery icon, and I need to pull the battery in order to reset the phone. But it also does this on the LiquidSmooth 5.01.
Otherwise, it looks great (love the boot animation) and looking forward to its maturity.

To try to help with the reboots, i have read in other 5.0 Roms when you first turn it on you need to turn on Wi-Fi before the screens goes black. You should be fine after that and can then turn off the Wi-Fi.
root
how do i get root on this? this one seems alot better then liquid smooth lollipop.but cant root?

Having some issues with the lollipop Roms. Hope I can ask here since this is my fav. Keep having dialer force close. Tried reflashing, clearing cache etc. Was working when I first flashed but then when I flashed aicp it started. Also my sprint connection shows ! a lot of the time. What could be the reason for this? On CDMA+LTE/evdo

Just noticed I don't have root myself. Tried installing SuperSU and it said I don't have su binary installed. In philz I notice it says do u want to root when leaving recovery. I will try that to see if it kicks into play.
Edit: Tried going into philz settings and re rooting. It says install SuperSU from market. Did that and it freezes showing nothing but black screen. Maybe this is causing my other issues.

Same here with root, tried with recovery and super Su freezes.super user did nothing.I tried with Dr ketans kit and that didn't work either.after I tried all the root methods the signal started showing ! And stayed that way til I reinstalled. But not having root is my main issue.

Thanks. The link worked. Any idea why I can't use phone dialer? Force closes every time I try to use. I can't call out. Can receive calls though.

Yes it was working until I flashed aicp. Wanted to try that one but once I restored broken it happened.

The total format of internal and reinstall did not work.
I notice when you have the ! for service, this is when the phone app crashes when trying to make a call.
Not sure if this is a fix but I got mine working (service and making calls).
*Settings - More (wireless&networks) - Cellular Networks
Make sure preferred network is CDMA+LTE/EVDO
Click on Carrier Settings (I clicked the bottom one at first then tried the middle one and both worked).
*When you click on Carrier Settings it will force close. But, if you notice, the service icon goes blank and then reappears.
I waited a few seconds and LTE was active.
I tried to make a call and I did not get a force close. Went through fine.
If it doesn't work right away, try this a few times. This could be a fix or I just lucked out.
