[Q] After 4.1.2 update phone call screen stuck - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

After the latest 4.1.2 update i've had an unusual bug come up. When i'm in the middle of a phone call, my screen shows the (for lack of a better term...) chooser screen when you decide whether to accept the call, hang up, or reply with a text. I can't get rid of it and it overlay's the big red "End Call" button so to hang up I have to hit the home button, then pull down the notifications and select "hang up" from there.
Maybe there's a setting that i'm missing but i didn't change anything and the only thing that has changed on my phone is the 4.1.2 update. Does anyone have any idea's what's going on?
I unlocked and rooted my phone to get the Jelly Bean update about 3 months ago but other than that I haven't messed with it. Any help anyone can give would be great. I'm a big fan of xda.

You checked "Yes this is a question"
Guess where it belongs?

You might try wiping data in the phone apk.

Sorry Kenny, won't happen again. So you figure it's in the apk? Any idea what I should delete?

phone turns volume on (on its own)

title says it all. the phone is on sound profile: vibrate then it randomly vibrates then the sound profile becomes sound. i dont even touch it it just vibrates for half a sec and its changes the profile
idk what to do
Please tell us some more information about your phone. For example:
Which touchwiz or custom software are you running?
What network provider are you on?
Are you rooted?
Have you dropped the phone recently?
How long has this been going on?

It could be an app. I recommend you delete a few apps, test, and repeat and then report back to see which app. If you have some questionable apps, list just the names here and maybe I could point out a few that could be the issue.

[Resolved] Auto Haptic menu is missing in JB?

Just installed Spotify.. and it's damn annoying and battery consuming to have the phone vibrating in my pocket while listening to a song...
They say that it's Auto Haptic Feedback that's causing it... well that setting is gone in LJ7... Is there a way to bring back the menu option or at least completely disable auto haptic? Maybe a library or apk or something?
I tried simply disabling haptic feedback which I don't want to do, but even that didn't work, it still vibrates...
Annoying!!
Any ideas?
Fixed, see 4th post.

Could have sworn I was in the right section when I posted this... was in the middle of 50 other things at work, so who knows. Thanks.
Took a shot in the dark here, and it worked.
If anyone else is having this problem, here's what I did to fix it...
Backup Apps (Other than Settings)
Wipe Data/System
Install ICS (I'm on FreeGS3 so I just used an older version... 0.2.0 in this case)
Enable Auto Haptic
Install Spotify (I just restored it from the backup), verify the vibrate is on
Go into Auto Haptic, put a check in Spotify
Then back out and go back in, remove the check
Then back out and disable Auto Haptic
Verify the vibration is gone
Reboot to Recovery
Wipe Dalvik/Cache
Update to JB without wiping Data.
Restore Apps
Re-setup all settings
Drink Beer
I typically backup my settings as well, but this time I decided to go without it so that it wouldn't somehow re-enable it in the background.
Just an FYI if people have the same problem here.
Thanks for the question and info on the fix. I was able to duplicate the fix with my nandroid backup. I know there is a new elegant way to do this by manually editing the system. I'll do some homework and post back.
I reviewed portions of the secsettings.apk, and saw that much of the script for autohaptic was intact. Comparing files beween ics and jb made it clear that the removal of the autohaptic settings was a mistake.. I did another google search, and found that a recent widget was created to address the issue. The widget is a temporary fix to globally enable or disable autohaptic until they can fix the issue.

[Q] Why is my phone auto answering calls?

I'm running JB on a rooted but otherwise stock GS3 phone and for some reason it auto answers after the second or third ring. Doesn't matter if the phone is in my pocket or just sitting on my desk. I've dug through all the settings and cannot find any indication of being able to turn this "feature" off. Help please.....It wasn't doing this on ICS, it just started after the JB update.

Well, that got me closer then I was. I found the setting in that menu (Can't believe I didn't go there before) but the strange thing is the check box to "auto-answer" was unchecked. So I checked it then called my phone from my landline and it once again auto-answered as you would expect with the check box checked. I then un-checked the box and tried it once again and it now seems to be working properly.
Thanks for the assistance!

This may work, it may not. It worked for me.
Allow your phone to run the update. It will fail. Take your battery out, put it back in. The update may never come back. If it does come back, kennyglass123 created a .zip to fix that issue i believe. search around for it.
