How to use?
7Heavens Projekt Script:
Code:
Download the file below
Move it to your home folder
Open a Terminal and type "chmod 755 RunThis.sh"
Now type "./RunThis.sh"
Install and have fun
ARP:
Code:
Extract the zip file on your home folder (/home/yourusername/)
Open a terminal
Type:
cd ~/ARP
sudo chmod 755 ARP.sh (only first time)
./ARP.sh
Have fun ;)
AOSP ROM (Xoom)
Code:
To install it, install like any other ROM.
Unlock your bootloader
Install a recovery (personal preference: Team EOS CWM)
Root your device
Idea: You can try using LordAIOTool for that above
Open recovery (adb reboot recovery - when plugged to PC / Shut down, power on, after 2s press one time vol- button and cycle with it until achieve Android Recovery, then press vol+)
Factory Reset
Flash zip (remember to copy it to an external sdcard - I recommend doing it :D!
LordAIOTool (Windows)
Code:
Windows --> Download it from the link below
Unzip it on C:/ then open the folder LAIOT and execute LAIOT.bat either double clicking it or using cmd on it
If you want to use just one tool, open Tools folder and double click it, the names are very clear!!!
Question: Why to extract on C:/
Answer: Because if not, "Restore Backup Tool" will not work!
LordAIOTool (Linux)
Code:
Linux --> Download it from the link below
Extract on your ~/ (If you didn't understand - /home/youruserhere)
Open LAIOT folder
Double click "RunThisOnce.sh" select run in terminal, now it's installed
To run it, open a terminal and write LAIOT, it's opened!
Please report here the bugs!
XARI:
Code:
Extract the file anywhere
Chmod 755 the Installer file
Execute the Installer file
Type on Terminal: XARI
Have fun

No they don't, but you can download with goo.im, BTW, just another warning is that it doesn't come with root, so you'll have to do it, and install custom recovery too. I just compiled the ROM to make easier to ppl pick it and do whatever they wanted

The Rom won't install, status 7 error. I even tried editing the updater script but it didn't help. It is for wingray right?

So, I don't understand what is the problem... Even with mine, which is MZ601 worked... I will check for any problems, anyway, if I can't install too (I'm not sure if I uploaded the right zip, last time I checked was AOK) I will try with another zip I have here, else I will compile again the ROM. Thanks for the up ! Please spread the work about 7Heavens. And if you want send an email to [email protected] if you want to join the team, which is now composed by 3 members.

i was able to get the rom to flash using twrp!!! and i have to say, WOW. this is the best thing i have ever run on my xoom, exactly what i've been waiting for. the animations are smooth and everything is snappy. thanks so much for compiling and sharing this rom with us. the only issue i have noticed is there are cellular signal bars (with no signal of course, since the device is wifi only). other than that, perfect!
quick question though, the rom filename says "root" but i don't see any superuser apps installed. would i have to flash a superuser installer zip to get root?

Nice you liked it! And yes, you have to flash root.zip to root it, try using ARP, as LAIOT doesn't support JB yet
Spread the word! Thanks!

I just double checked all the links and they work on the desktop but I do get a error message if trying to access the website from my phone. But thanks to tdj's new changes, you can change the user agent in the stock browser now. So just set the user agent to chrome and try it then. Or just download it from a computer. Let me know if you still have issues!
Roger that. I clicked from xda on phone and my default browser is dolphin. Thanks for these.

Chrome is not an option in dolphin browser, I tried desktop and that didn't work either.
No, I meant I originally tried with Dolphin and failed. With Darkside 2.5 you can change user agent in stock browser to chrome but it still don't work. I downloaded via PC through the wicked slow host (5-6 KBps) and had to mount data and system in recovery to make it work. Looks good thanks!

Should I try a different host? TDJ used this for one of his darkside releases so I just picked it up from that. I get fine download speeds but if it's a major issue I'll relocate the files. I'll also make the mounting standard because it won't hurt and seems to be more universal
I used skyfire and zero issues downloading.

Yes! All mods work for 2.5. As some users have pointed out, you'll have to set your mobile browser to desktop or download them from a desktop.
Working great... using the Green HoneyComb and must say its pretty impressive... thanks!
Is there any way to keep the existing theme and have this just change the battery icon? After I did the mod, all my other icons went from the candy theme to gray.

Unfortunately it doesn't work that way since both mods replace the systemui.apk and framework-res.apk with their own versions. I'll look into releasing certain mods with the more popular themes but I can't promise anything since I'm new to manually making modifications to the files.
I have actually figured out how to incorporate the battery mods into any theme or mod! It's not quite as easy as flashing something in CWM, but all it requires is just having 7zip and adb and/or ES file explorer/Root explorer. Would people be interested enough for me to post the files and the process?
Yes. That would be great.
Sent from my SGH-T989 using xda premium
To use this battery mod in conjunction with other mods/themes for DW:
You will need:
1) 7zip
2) ADB***
3) A ROM/mod that already uses 1% battery increments (should not be a problem for any DW mods or themes)
***I'm currently looking into how to do this without ADB and just using built in file explorers. I'm not sure if it's possible so I've just gone ahead and posted this first but I've tried it a few ways and the transfer won't complete without freezing the phone. If anyone knows how to replace the framework-res.apk without using ADB, let me know!
Installation with ADB:
STEP 0: ALWAYS NANDROID FIRST
1) Boot your phone to recovery; go to Mounts and Storage; mount /system
2) Plug your phone into your computer; open up command prompt on your PC; type this line of code (this will pull the system file you need to modify to your desktop):
adb pull /system/framework/framework-res.apk c:\users\(YOURNAME)\desktop
3) Download the kit version of the battery mod you want to use
4) Extract (NOT OPEN) the images from the kit (right click on the .zip --> extract)
5) Right click on the framework-res.apk file you pulled and under "7-zip" click "Open archive" (NOT EXTRACT). You'll have a window of the contents of framework-res.apk
6) Follow this file path: res > drawable-hdpi
7) Now take all of the images that you extracted from your kit and drag and drop them into your 7-zip window. (At the confirmation window, hit "Yes")
8) Close out of the 7-zip window
9) Go back to the command prompt and type this:
cd c:\users\(YOURNAME)\desktop
10) Then type this:
adb push framework-res.apk /system/framework
11) Reboot! No need to clear cache/dalvik/fix permissions
*Replace (YOURNAME) with your windows username
*Pay attention to correct use of forward slash and backward slash (forward for linux/unix commands, backwards for windows commands)

Hey guys this is just a report of my GALAXY NEXUS thread
PLEASE CHECK FAQ IN POST 2.
Requests are closed at the moment, other people may fulfil your requests but i will not atm as i'm crazy busy. see post #2 for other notes.
they are metamorph/zipthemer (for JB) zips so please download the app and then open the zip and apply with metamorph!
please nandroid if you don't know 100% what you're doing or how to recover otherwise.
the other option is to pull your framework-res.apk in /system/framework/ to your computer and then if you get a bootloop you can always adb push it back.
Please don't steal my work, if you want to share it in another forum, ask me or just send them to this thread. please and thanks!
Special thanks to GideonX for hosting and giving me my site, @Stericson for his tutorials and teaching me how to do metamorph, @morfic for his awesome kernel, @rascarlo for his awesome rom and @SamsungClay for being such an inspiration to me.

- USE THE SEARCH FUNCTION.
- ALWAYS MAKE A NANDROID or have one on hand to fall back. I cannot stress this enough, especially if you are a newb and this is your first time flashing a theme / using metamorph
- alternatively, if you know what you're doing, just pull the framework-res.apk from /system/framework/ BEFORE you apply the theme and if you get a bootloop just push it back from recovery.
now.

anything AOSP based, that being cm10.1, aokp, rasbean, etcetc.
it will NOT work with the sony roms, or sense roms, or touchwiz roms so dont blame me if you try doing it with those roms.
i'm on paranoid and thats based of CM10 so it'll work right?!
YES IS WORKS NOW THANK YOU MOLES.
Will this theme work on any other phone?
YES! It will work on any phone as long as it is XHDPI (Gnex, SGS3, One X), or HDPI (SGS2, Desire, MyTouch4g, etcetc) if you're not sure just google your screen resolution. sorry MDPI isn't supported!
ONLY the files on my site or the ones that i post are supported. anything posted by anyone else may not support both xhdpi and hdpi.
i totally borked my phone and its in a bootloop QQ what do i do?
if you're running the proper rom and you followed all the instructions properly then pull the battery and reboot. it is normal for a random reboot to happen when you first apply it. metamorph talks all about it in its warning to you.
I did what you said but it still bootlooping... the world is over.
either nandroid or restore your framework from recovery. and then try redownloading the zip and reapplying. sometimes people get bad downloads... so dont fret.
i have followed all the previous steps and my lockring isn't applying... YOUR LOCKRINGS ARE BROKEN!
probably not, as 99% of them have been tried and tested. make sure you don't have a theme applied, if you do, use zipthemer to apply the lockring isntead.
ZOMG i've tried everything you said and it still wont work...my life is over
stop lying. all the rings work provided you've followed the instructions. otherwise send me your framework-res.apk and i'll look at it.
can i have this lockring design?
well first you need to provide a picture, and then even then its stillup to me whether or not i'm going to make it.
can i haz a weed one?
simple answer, no. I don't endorse drugs that are illegal in my country (Canada). But if you want a benadryl one, then sure.
if weed was legal in my current place of living, then i would, but until then. ;P
ZOMG YOU ARE SO SLOW AT FULFILLING REQUESTS AND YOU SHOULD BOW DOWN TO ME AND DO AS I SAY!! I CANT WAIT FOR YOU TO HAVE A LIFE AND DO IT ON YOUR TIME, LET ME MAKE MY RINGS MYSELF!
i'm not responsible if you eff up your phone cause you dont know what you're doing. but here is a brief but pretty concise explanation of how to do it.
if you download any of my zips, and unzip it, you'll find a folder with files, and an .xml file.
if you want to change the pics of the lockrings
- unzip with winrar or 7z or whatever
- go to framework-res/res/drawable-hdpi (or xhdpi if youre on a gs3)
- change your lockring .png's. They can be anything, but just make sure they are 162x162 px for hdpi and 216x216 px for xhdpi
- ic_lockscreen_handle_normal.png is the lockring when it is not pressed
- ic_lockscreen_handle_pressed.png is when you put your finger to drag it to your designated target.
- MAKE SURE YOU RENAME YOUR EDITED PNG's TO EXACTLY WHAT IS ABOVE OR ELSE IT WONT WORK (unless you want to play with xml)
- once you have fixed up all your images go back to the root folder where you unzipped the original zipfile.
- then open the xml and change accordingly to what it says.. pretty straightfoward
- now this is important for it to work with meta! : you can rename the xml to (your name here).xml, but it is IMPERATIVE that when you ZIP the file back together, you name the zip the EXACT same as the xml except ending in .zip
- so select your xml and your folder (framework-res) and then right click, and zip it with winrar or 7z. make SURE it is a ZIP file and that it is the EXACT SAME NAME AS THE XML and DO NOT COMPRESS IT!
- then when you have your zip, drag and drop it into your AndroidThemes folder on your internal SD or SD (assuming you're using metamorph) and then apply with MM or Zipthemer or ninjamorph etcetc!
**it will soft reboot or freeze or whatever, just pull the battery and boot normal. or use
Code:
adb reboot
and voila! there you have it, you've made your very own custom lockrings!
cheers! :highfive:
thats all for now, but this post will be updated when popular questions arise.

slim NavBar
StatBar (same dpi as Navbar symmetrical)
CWM flashable ZIP
use the ZIP to change DPI also
Plans:
Single Zip download and autorecognise device per rom
some requests features
Support MZ602 & Roms
TESTED ON:
- I USE WINGRAY... i can not test for MZ602 or MZ601 versions!
-CodenameAndroid v3.5.0(MZ604 Wingray: working) (OTHERS: N/A)
-CM10 nightlys(MZ604 Wingray: working) (OTHERS: N/A)
-EOS3 Nightly's(MZ604 | MZ601: working) (MZ602: N/A)
WARNING:
- PLEASE SELECT APPROPRATE "framework-res.apk" FOR YOUR ROM BUILD i.e. EOS3 use EOS3 link!
- PLEASE SELECT APPROPRIATE download for your HARDWARE BUILD (ie wingray stingray)
- DO NOT TRY on anything other than the above unless you know what you are doing
- STRONGLY reccomend you have at least 10MB space on /system partition, use a root explorer to check
(i usually execute "adb shell rm /system/media/video" to clear some space)
- I did everything using ADB on windows so try the adb methods if it does not work
- STEPS TO RECOVER FROM BOOTLOOP (win7, quickest methods first... only do the next step if the previous did not work)
A: using the original framework-res.apk
"adb shell mount -o remount,rw /system"
"adb push framework-res.apk /system/framework" (make sure you point to the framework-res.apk folder in your pc)
"adb reboot"
B: reflash CURRENT rom without wipe and reboot (also Gapps if not CM10)
INSTRUCTIONS:
(Repeat i am not responsible for bootloops etc but i will share my knowledge on fixing as far as i know)

I just released a version for the latest MZ601 UMTS Everest EOS3 nightly give it a try. i edit the build.prop for the dpi, and its Bools.xml to change enable navbar, and then dimens.xml for the size of statusbar/navbar hope it helps!
Can you give me a short tutorial on how to try this using my stingray to push it? I tried using root explorer but it rebooted and bootlooped...possibly a permissions issue. Not sure if fixing permissions in Recovery would fix it or not. I don't know the correct terms to enter in terminal emulator to push it that way either. Thanks! I've been hoping for a mod like this!! I use CNA 3.5.0

Hey i'm just on my way out atm, but currently this will only work for the Mz601 and MZ604 stingray is MZ602 i can do a mod for it tonight and release it will only work if i use the exact framework-res and build.prop from your device. otherwise u will have bootloop! quick tutorial is:
pull framework res
decompile framework res
edit bools.xml and dimens.cml
recompile
(add meta-inf and android-manifest from original framework res to new framework res)
push back to device (adb or flashable zip - with root explorer u need to set permissions and owners to root)
then change dpi to 180 or above
Don't you have a better way to share the files? I don't want to create an account and log in to some random website to download the zips.

Ok thanks! You're more experienced, so I'll wait for yours, lol. But I did do a test for ya! I flashed CM10 9/20 Nightly for Stingray, booted up, then flashed your zip for the Wingray 9/19 nightly....and it WORKED!! Although it had no data being it's for Wingray, and the notification pulldown seemed a little laggy, but other than that it worked great, and is exactly what I'm looking for! Hopefully you make a zip for CM10, and CNA cause I'm not sure which I'm gonna stay on, lol....Patiently waiting on AOKP JB for Stingray, and your mod for that! Lol
Lol no problem u are on mz601 right? I there is a data version for CNA V1.1 that should let u have data if using cna ill dload latest aokp and cm10 for mz601 tonight and if u test that be awesome!!

Ran into some issues with the AOSP 4.1.2 base. Those will be resolved for next weeks build though.

There are no options to disable this on MIUI
As for Gapps.. They are installed for the most part. If you run into any issues with TTS, flash the newest version.

Just noticed that. Looks like I'm missing some methods that weren't present in 4.1.1
I'll have a fix up tonight.

**Requests are closed at the moment, other people may fulfil your requests but i will not atm as i'm crazy busy. see post #2 for other notes.
they are metamorph/zipthemer (for JB) zips so please download the app and then open the zip and apply with metamorph!
please nandroid if you don't know 100% what you're doing or how to recover otherwise.
the other option is to pull your framework-res.apk in /system/framework/ to your computer and then if you get a bootloop you can always adb push it back.
Please don't steal my work, if you want to share it in another forum, ask me or just send them to this thread. please and thanks!

Commonly asked Questions or reoccuring comments
- USE THE SEARCH FUNCTION.
- ALWAYS MAKE A NANDROID or have one on hand to fall back. I cannot stress this enough, especially if you are a newb and this is your first time flashing a theme / using metamorph
- alternatively, if you know what you're doing, just pull the framework-res.apk from /system/framework/ BEFORE you apply the theme and if you get a bootloop just push it back from recovery.
now.
HOW DO I INSTALL THIS???
- First, USE ZIPTHEMER
- download the file to /sdcard/Zipthemer
- go open Zipthemer
- BEFORE ADDING THEMES UPDATE EDIFY
-> hit menu
-> update edify
-> browse...
-> browse to your rom's zip and click on it
-> it will return to the previous menu and then hit configure
-> EDIFY IS NOW CONFIGURED
- then it +Theme and navigate to the folder with the ring
- then change the name of the output if you like
- then click "Build It" and then make a back up.
- reboot into recovery and flash
- reboot
- ?????
- PROFIT!
OMG THESE ARE AWESOME WHAT ROMS DOES IT WORK ON?
anything AOSP based, that being cm10.1, aokp, rasbean, etcetc.
it will NOT work with the sony roms, or sense roms, or touchwiz roms so dont blame me if you try doing it with those roms.
i'm on paranoid and thats based of CM10 so it'll work right?!

Assuming you don't F up the normal steps you take to flash it you can just make an undo-zip instead of the backup?
