Repairs can be done on Portugal if it is a Euro device, a replacement can only be done in the country the device was bought. Contact the dealer/vendor in that case.
If it is no Euro device both repairs and as mentioned replacing the phone should be done in the country where you bought the phone.
Thank you for the answer.

I noticed that the price of the note 2 in Germany is cheaper, than in the UK.
Just wondering if there is any downside about buying one from Germany?
I assume I'll be able to get the phone configured into English.
Would I be able to flash UK firmware on to it, or wouldn't it matter?
I'd only get the n7100 as I don't care about lte just yet.
thanks.
Yes of course the european version of the phone is the same, you will just have to chose English when you first turn on the phone.

It might be cheaper, but you might need to pay import tax when it arrives, unless you're planning a physical visit.

Hi, new note 2 user here.
In Hong Kong you can check for your warranty on the shkad website. I tried to register mine today but says "Sorry! Your device is not from authorized distributors of Samsung Electronics HK Limited" Checked with the shop that I bought it from and they said they don't know why it doesn't register cuz the phone is made for the HK market.
The box that the phone came with shows the samsung hk website address.
Checked the CSC and its TGY which is a Hong Kong firmware. Tried to check the build number online but can't find any solid info
It even has the HK warranty card that came with it
What gives? Where do I get the warranty?

Just take it to Samsung Customer Service Centre and ask them to check for you.

Where you brought it ? I brought my Note 2 from Fortress also not authorized. Maybe it is for Synergy or Kentech distributor only !
Always register your warranty at Samsung Hk website --> samsung.com/hk/
Perhaps u entered the wrong code.
When I tried register it treks me the same thing. But I es registering using my imei number. Under the battery on the phone itself there is a serial number beneath the imei code. I register using the serial number and it works.
This is on sme samsumg Malaysia electronics though..

Thanks for the input guys. Called synergy and they told me that my unit maybe came from another distributor. Ill go tomorrow and check it with the service center. Hopefully I can confirm that I still have local warranty.

I haven't been able to register my N7015 HK version here in the states.
You don't need to register online for warranty.
You will have to bring your purchase invoice and your phone to HK Samsung CS for service.
If in doubt, I advice you bring your phone and the invoice to Samsung CS check first, they will verify your phone.

Hi,
I recently purchased a SGS4 mini at Amazon in the U.S. It's an international version (GT-i9195). I was wondering if I have Samsung warranty on this phone. At the Samsung (US) support page I can't pick the GT-i9195 model. According to the manual and the firmware I assume it's a Hungarian model.
Does anyone know where I can claim warranty if it's actually needed? Please distinguish between the cases of living in the U.S. and in Germany (but the phone still purchased in the U.S.). Is it possible to claim warranty nowhere, in both countries or just in one of them?
Thanks.
Alright... So basically... I was on holidays in Dubai over the last few weeks. And, over there, I was lucky enough to buy a note 7 SM-N930FD, from an official Samsung store. I had bought the phone on the 28th of august.. before the recall. Now I'm back home, in the UK, reading about the note 7 recall and have absolutely no idea how to proceed. I don't want to send my note 7 back to Dubai because I'll have no phone in the meantime and it just seems like a lengthy process. Is there a way that I can maybe get my device exchanged here in the UK? Or what are my other options?

Samsung UK are being pressed to replace the handsets with local variants. If you don't mind a UK variant you should have no problems. (Initially Samsung refused to swap at all!)
A few have said that Samsung service providers are exploring swapping out for the same model but I can't see that working. Most companies of the world only swap out a device for the local variant available in the country you're doing the exchange.
contact Samsung is your best bet......
accept the local variant, thats all
The fastest way is to directly contact a Samsung
Its easy tho, I purchased note 7 from Kuwait now I am in India (my home country). Here, Samsung delayed sale of note 7 that means till now no official launch of note 7 nor they have started any recall (obvious, they haven't sell single note 7 here). Now my question is how should I go for replacement? Help

Thanks, fortunately one of my friend went Kuwait today so I send my phone with him. :victory:
Got a call from Samsung UK. Basically stated they can swap the dual sim phone for the one sold in europe so single sim - coral blue or black.
Asked about getting the dual sim as replacement and they said I would have to sort it out with the region the phone is bought from - so Qatar in my case.
Might just get the UK version with its two year warranty
