Urgent help needed

Well it seems my Play has finally died.
Woke up this morning and my touchscreen wouldnt respond so I reflashed the ROM Im using (MIUI v4).
Now, for some reason, it wont make it past CWM no matter what kernel I flash.
So I used Flashtool to go back to a stock ftf and it freezes at the SE logo. However, when connected with PC Companion it gets to the lockscreen but the touchscreen wont work :S
Im at a loss completely :S
Any help would be great
Woo man.. That sounds srious. Its like the phne touchscreen has been disable. Did u try flashing a kernel with full touch recovery n see if its touch-able?? Just a suggestion. Its really weird how that happen, really. It shouldn't matter if u plug ur phone to pc or not. If the screen boot it should respon with any touch u make. Weird...

I tried the CWM with touch support and it doesnt respond at all. When I flash a ROM it wont make it past CWM so it seems like Ive got 2 problems. Well, if I flash a stock ftf file it sticks at the first Sony Ericsson logo as well so flashing back to stock isnt a solution either
EDIT: I appear to have life CM9 has booted to the main splash screen. However, touch input is still gone

Meaning the touchscreen is completely dead or it dosen't boot up the system completely?? This is hard. If the screen is touch-able u obviously wont hav any problem. Did u try any othert .ftf besides the 1 u already hav?? Just curious...

No man....don't say that. You have been a big help here, especially to me. I wonder what you did to that screen and if it happened from a rom flash or what.

I flashed an MIUI ICS rom and the following morning it was locked up. Now certain kernels wont go past CWM.
FXP kernels seem to work for me though but the touchscreen doesnt work. Some of the stock firmwares wont even boot but even if they do, the touchscreen doesnt work. Ive wiped data/cache/dalvik so many times but I havent a clue whats happened :S
Im still gonna stick around the Play section though
This has been the only phone issue thats ever had me stumped completely
Did u did a factory reset also before flashing anything?
Can you enter the service menu by dialing *#*#7378423#*#* in phone dialer?? Then you can test the touchscreen, hard keys, proximity, ALS, and almost all other functions. I'm not sure if its the same numbers for all versions of Play or just AT&T's version. If not google service menu+android or something. Or maybe its something that can fixed with computer by the guys who unlock fix Sony phones.(Jinx13 & alejandrissimo-*probably misspelled)

Sure. U can test the touchscreen on that menu. If u can get to it. The code r the same for all xperia phone, i guess.

Got to that menu and its still not responding to touch.
Sold the phone for scrap today. I had no warranty due to unlocking the bootloader via the Sony Unlock site so sending it for repair was out of the question. Moving on to HTC at the weekend. Gonna get the Explorer I think it was

HTC One X BSOD

Hey guys, as the title stated, my HOX now has the BSOD . Installed Cyanogenmod then the classic screen flicker, and now the screen won't turn on. My warranty expired already, so I was hoping if you guys could point me in the right direction, what should I do now, and if I do have to replace the motherboard, where can I get it? Thanks!
can you still access your recovery or bootloader?

Yes, I still have access to it, common of BSOD One Xs. Does anybody know which part is at fault? The LCD screen, motherboard or anything?
As you can still access recovery, Have you tried a different rom since the problem started?

I can't access my phones memory at the moment, cause I can't see the screen and I think there is a bug on the ROM I am on, so I'm trying to relock the phone and then flash the RUU soon. But I was wondering if anyone with the same experience managed to solve it?
best if you could bring it to htc's service center and have it checked.

Warranty expired.
Managed to bring it back to life again, sort of. Turns out the CPU/GPU had poor contacts with the motherboard, so pushing a bit under the camera brought it back for a while.
More info here if anybody needs. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1859339&page=11

Are you on full stock (locked bootloader) ? Is the screen replaced recently ?
If it's all stock then use your warranty!

Full wiped?
Probably a hardware issue?? Send it for warranty... Go full stock before sending it though...

yes full wiped. warranty is out. i just want to know if it's a hardware issue
because it dont seem to be a software one
If you have tried different ROMs and you even get this in recovery as well... So I guess it might be a hardware problem after all...

phone wont vibrate.

My phone just suddenly stopped vibrate! It was working 5 minutes ago and it just stopped. No matter what I do, keyboard, vibrate mode, vibration test, etc nothing works. I suppose this is a hardware issue. I'm running cm14.1 with team m8 kernel. If this is a hardware issue, would anyone please tell me how to fix this.
does it vibrate on reboot ?
restore to stock or flash another rom and see how it's going

No it does not vibrate on reboot. Neither does it vibrate in twrp. BTW it was working in the morning and without me doing anything, it just suddenly stopped working. I don't this this is a rom problem.

i don't think it's a rom bug
twrp doesn't vibrate on reactions, neither on rebooting ( on splash screen ) is not related to the rom
do you disassemble it ?
try to run the RUU and see how it's going

That's exactly what I said. And no I've never dissembled the phone. I also don't think RUU can fix it because I don't think this is a software problem. Do you know how to safely replace the vibrate module

Hello everyone
Few days ago my phone suddenly power off and when I power on again android doesn't boot. Phone stay on LG logo. I try other mod. Download mod is OK but I can't enter to recovery mod. Now I have some questions?
1- is possible I flash stock ROM on my phone and it fix?
2- is this problem is hardware's issue?

The g4 has a known and publicly released bootloop issue. Read into it. You may find its your issue.

My issue isn't bootloop. But thanks

That most definitely is a boot issue and is generally lumped in with the phone constantly rebooting, i.e. boot looping. My G4 is currently being repaired for the same thing.

Most likely.

I think you are wrong on that. that is exactly what the bootloop issue is. And yes its hardware related. Every g4 is a ticking timebomb

You are right about that. It is the well know g4 boot loop from a faulty hardware. The best he can do is to have it repaired or if he wants to try and mess with it there is a thread to troubleshoot that in this same forum but dunno what g4 version does he have.
