[Q] Need help with wallet on rooted VZW Galaxy Nexus TORO CM10 - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

Trying to add google wallet to my VZW Galaxy Nexus Toro. I've found an .apk that I could get to load (1.5-R79-v5.apk).
However, CM10-20121011-Experimental-toro-M2 does not have an option to turn on NFC. Looks like CM removed it.
Any solutions to this other than running a different ROM?
Has anyone had success running this on BAMF or AOKP? I've flashed those ROMS and been happy with both.
TIA

NFC is in the same place it's always been on M2. Settings>more

Not on my phone...now i'm more concerned...

Hmm that is really strange! It should be there. Maybe download again, check md5 sum, and clean flash.
---------- Post added at 02:18 PM ---------- Previous post was at 02:17 PM ----------

I think I saw this problem on another forum for a different Samsung phone.
When you say clean flash, you mean wipe cache partition & dalvik. Would you do a wipe data/factory reset? I'm talking about CWM of course.
Thanks!

clean flash means wipe data/cache

Personally I would wipe data/factory reset (and if restoring with TiBU only restore apps - NOT data), but you could try cache & dalvik first and see if that works for you. If you start experiencing random reboots then you may want to install again clean - as in factory reset. The reason I say you may want to wipe data is because I have experienced reboots when dirty flashing ROM upgrades so I usually always install clean now.. So if you recently dirty flashed M2, might want to consider a data wipe clean install, if NFC is missing maybe other things are too.

And what .apk are you getting to work on this? Am I using a good one?
Also, what GAPPS are you using?
I was using a package that never let me sync to google - I had grey bars instead of blue bars.
Thanks

I've tried wiping and flashing a bunch of times. Now I'm getting the old "secure element error".
UGH.
Probably gonna just forget it and try flashing another rom for fun.
Is there a way to fix this secure element issue?

The only posts I've seen that might work require restoring a nandroid of when Wallet last worked & then re-setting the app before flashing something else.

Play store installed apps error after data wipe

So I recently did a data wipe in order to upgrade to aokp b29. Before the whole process, my market worked fine, but now my installed apps are not appearing nor can I see that other tab (all apps? Or something... History?) because it gives an error as shown in the attached screenshot. My Installed tab just shows the apps I manually installed after restoring everything with titanium backup. I have about 310 apps on my phone and only the last 4 I installed yesterday show up. I have a suspicion that it was titanium backup that caused my play store account to bug out because I remember the market was fine after I booted up b29 for the first time but haven't used titanium backup yet, then after restoring all my apps + data, my play store became messed up. I tried using the market link doctor function on titanium backup to redo all the attached links to the market but that didn't help. Also tried clearing market data and cache, and restoring phone but obviously that didn't work either. Any suggestions? I was hoping that waiting for it to be fixed on its own would work but it's been like this for 4 days now, I would like to avoid another data wipe if it can be helped :x thanks.

I had a similar problem, you should wipe your device and start fresh. Don't restore any system data or apps.

By all means yes back them up but the only thing I'd recommend restoring is your SMS, music or pictures. Stuff that's not going to be potentially corrupt is safe. A good idea us to use a tool kit like http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1392310 and use the option to BOOT not flash cwm recovery and create a nandroid backup so if you aren't happy with the results at least you can return to your current state. A fresh install is best IMO just to make sure you don't install things which are broken

wtf ... i formatted data, cache, dalvik cache, flashed aokp b29 and gapps.. and bam.. the problem is still here.. exactly as it was before .. this is frustrating :/ .......
anyone know what on earth the problem could be ??? btw all my purchased apps are shown as never have been bought either, and when i try to rebuy something, i get an error with transaction email from Google.... the only way to install paid apps on my phone now is through the browser which still works fine ..but ..still... wth :/
There are TONS of people having this and similar problems - a quick search of the forums and the net in general will bear this out.
You can do whatever you like if it makes you feel good, but Google's going to have to fix this one themselves.
....................yea i know their store crashed but that was a week ago and they said its been fixed ...................
can anyone actually help plz, condescending remarks aside

Are you flashing roms that require a partitioned SD card? I haven't tried flashing any sense roms lately but I know that a lot of them require the sd card to be partitioned.
You also need to wipe more.
Boot, system, sd ext. And do all of the 3 times. I know ot takes more time, but it will give you a cleaner install of your new rom
Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk
there are also a few tools out there to help wipe.
look here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=785271
I wipe all but SDcard, and battery info in Amon Ra 3 times. then i flash the calkulins format all 3 times, then flash new rom. i have had minimal problems.
you also might update your radio. not sure if this will help with data, and it can break things if not done right. but its worth a try.
Guys I've Tried It All, In Everyones Order, Still No Data No 3G No Mobile Network, And I Think My Radio Is Up To Date

which sense 3.5 roms are you downloading? maybe they have a bug in the few you decided to try everyone ive ever used in my phone was too buggy for me.
Uhm,
Haha Lets See Here,
Ive Tried Prime XL, Prime XL V.4, Radiance 6.1.1 (Also RLSone, And 1.2.1), Warm-Two-Point-Three-3.5,
And The ALL Fail To Bring My Data Upp To Par,
Like, Should I Call Sprint And Have Them Re-Activate My Service??
have you tried bliss yet? i know data worked for me at least on that one. and have you tried any other roms besides 3.5 sense ones with a similar problem? and if it works on a stock rom, the Sprint can't do anything for you. It might be how you set it up. wiping is the main thing i can think of. how about you post pics or video compared stock and 3.5 so we can see the problem, including how you flash it.

What Do U Mean Bro?

Please help... My wifi no longer works. I think I may have stuffed my phone..

Hi all,
I flashed crash and omega rom yesterday, but i didn't like them, so i reverted back to stick from a Cwm backup..
But now when I try to connect to wifi networks, it gives a error saying the signal is too weak (it really isn't, as all my other devices connect)
I have tried on a few different wifi networks, and none of them work.
I would rather not have to flash a stock rom with Odin again, as i dont trust mobile Odin, and I can't get on my pc at the moment.
Here is a screen shot of the error msg..

Hi,
Yes the md5 was fine.
I would rather not have to do a clean install, as i have all my game data on the internal sd card, and when I flash a new rom with Odin I loose all that data.
And when I try backing it up to the ext sd, and them copy it back afterwards, the games always seems to not notice the data is there, and try and re download.
But i guess I will just have to try doing a clean install tomorrow.
Thanks..
Cheers
Corey

This is PRECISELY the problem I have with ANY 4.1.2 ROM as listed in the thread I started about it: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2044249
Go into CWM and do a full wipe (cache, data, dalvik and I also do battery to make me feel better).
Then restore.
I personally can flash ANY 4.1.2 ROM (I have tried the earlier leaks and now Wannam 2.1 and ARHD 6.0 as well as stock Polish PLAY but I am confident Omega would do it too) and I instantly get your wifi issues.
I just go back into CWM and restore from my backup (no need to wipe as restore does a full job of wiping over) and as soon as I am back to my old 4.1.1 system (which happens to be ARHD 4.1) everything works fine again.

No Data connection but says in service

Alright this is driving me a bit nuts all the sudden my phone wont get any data connection unless i connect to WiFi but in phone status says i am in service but mobile network disconnected. i have reflashed rom twice now and flashed different modem was on GB28 then flashed FL14.
No idea what to do anymore Still new to this phone so dont really know what exactly im doing yet so any help would be greatly appreciated.

You can't use a JB modem with non tw. flash a ICS modem like FL24. You should read the OP of the rom thread your running. it says it there.

Sorry not sure what non TW stands for i didnt notice anywhere where it said not to use JB modem though
quote from cm thread:
Do NOT use a JB modem
Flash a safe recovery (if required)
Flash an ICS modem (if required)
Wipe everything except sdcards if coming from any ROM except CM10
Wipe cache and dalvik-cache and after boot wipe data on clock if flashing new version from previous installation of CM10
Wipe cache and dalvik-cache if flashing new version from previous installation of CM10.1
Flash ROM
Flash GAPPS (if new installation or coming from CM10)
Reboot
Change kernel governor and change back
???
Profit
non-tw means non-touchwiz or non-stock.

i actually did a wipe and fresh install of pacman and gapps and still same issue it wouldnt even go through sync process on startup since it couldn't connect to google server which worried me a bit so temporarily jumped ship to AOKP JB Magical Unicorn and seems to be working fine on that accept for horrible battery life even with Qcell but thats whole other deal.

[Q] VILLUMINATI ART Problems

About a week ago I installed the VILLUMINATI Unofficial version of Cyanogenmod 11, which gave me Android 4.4.1. I've had no problems with it so far until I tried to enable the ART runtime. I enabled it and it started up alright, but after the boot process gapps kept crashing. I tried looking through the thread and didn't see anything (unless I missed it), and tried re-downloading and re-flashing the gapps, but to no avail. I switched back to Dalvik runtime and everything went back to normal. I was hoping someone had a fix for this so I could save a little extra battery and make my phone run a bit faster with ART. Thanks for your time.
what gapps are you using?

The problem must be coming from the gapps you installed ...what gapps are you using? It might not have the google apps that are compatible with ART
Use the PA mini modular gapps...(sorry I can't give you the link since I don't have 10 posts -__- Lol)
I recommend this specific one because the full & google stock gapps has had a history of causing some issues..

The only way I was able to get ART to run without force closes, was to reboot to recovery as soon as you select the ART runtime. Then wipe both cache and dalvik cache. Then reboot. I had zero force closes this way.
Also remember ART is fairly new so some apps may not work correctly.

This did work for me, thank you! At first after reboot my power button would not turn off the screen, but it started working shortly after. I hope that isn't anything I should look in to.
Your welcome. Sometimes ART seems to work better. A few apps I had trouble getting to install. But they worked after a few reboots.
