And are the quality of those screen protector really good? What company is the best?
I personally have an itouch and I really like the invisible shield's screen protector cause I think it feels smooth and stuff...
So I was wondering if there was a captivate screen protector like what invisible shield makes, or if invisible shield makes them for the captivate.

I have a Boxwave protector on my Captivate. You really can't even tell it's on there, it's 100% clear. I have to tell people that there is a screen protector on my phone, and then they accuse me of lying until I point out the edges.
honestly how many screen protector threads do we need?

Hi! I just purchased a Galaxy Nexus from eBay and was wondering if I needed a Screen Protector. Does the screen get scratched easily or is it resistant to scratches (like SGS II) ?
Also anyone has dropped this phone and broke it ? (Dont know if I need a case)
depends on how risk averse you are.
Yes, there have been some cases (on here if you search about) where people have managed to scratch the screen.
I'd recommend getting a screen protector just to be on the safe side.
Thanks Just curious does the phone come with a screen prtector with it or should I purchase one ?
You must purchase one separately.
Check out the Accessories sub forum if you need help deciding which is best for you.
I use XO Skins and I couldn't be happier with it!!
I've had a screen protector on my nexus since I first got it from expansys in the mail. Somehow I have managed to hairline scratch the screen anyway there is only one small scratch I think it might have been in the application of my Zagg screen protector there was a tiny bit of something in between the screen protector and the screen and it caused the scratch, you can only see it if there is no protector on the screen and you hold it up to the light just right. In any case I would recommend a screen protector of some kind, it's frustrating to have your screen scratched up. I've had iphones and android devices with gorilla glass and I have had these minor surface scratches on all of them, get a screen protector it's worth it.
Thanks I have decided to get a screen protector...still not sure about the case.
Regarding a custom rom, any recommendations to which ones are the best ? (Didnt want to create another thread just for this)
Thanks

I am currently using AOKP13, make sure you install the correct one for your device (I suppose you have a GSM device since you are in Malta):
AOKP13 for GSM: http://rootzwiki.com/topic/11455-rom-android-open-kang-project-maguro-build-13/
AOKP13 for CDMA: http://rootzwiki.com/topic/12451-rom-android-open-kang-project-toro-build-13/
and this kernel: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1367341
And I am very very pleased with the performance and battery life.
However there are many ROMs and kernels to choose from, all with different opinions so you may need to try out a few before settling down
I have the Case Mate barely there case and I love it. I have trued many of the Roms and I absolutely love IML74K 4.0.3 Build 6. Its the closest to stock and is insanely fast. I install 3m rock guard (durashield) at work on cars. I use a Roland 64" vinyl cutter and I was wondering if anyone had access to a database for phones so I don't have to cut free hand. Please let me know and if someone can supply me with designs then I will be more than happy to give you some 3m cutouts for you phone(s). Cheers!

stay away from xo skins...junk! I installed one the way the directions said, screen had all kinds of little tiny bubble in spots that would not come out with the squegee. Not to mention it scuffs really easy. Worst 13.00 I ever spent!
I just ordered the screen protector too late it appears. Despite babying this phone like no othr i have acquired a very slight small hairline scratch. Somerhing i managed to never do for 2 years on my Droid Eris. The screen is very sensitive to scratches despite what some would show you online with a set of keys.
Founf these of Play.com .... anyone tried them ?
http://www.play.com/Mobiles/Mobile/...msung+Galaxy+Nexus+}+&cpage=2&urlrefer=search
I dont want any rubbery feeling on the screen or orange peel effect so I am not really sure which one to choose :/
I saw this link on Xgears tempered glass screen cover on Droid-Life.com and I was wondering if any of your proud G-Nex owners have one on their phone. And a possible opinion about it if you can. Thanks!
They just shipped out today, people should be receiving them in the next few days.
There's a thread talking about these screen protectors. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1777825
I ordered 2 as soon as I saw them. Keep tabs on the thread I posted above as that will have the most up to date info for you.
The other thread is for "any" protector that feels close to glass... so maybe this thread is a good idea, whoever gets one first can post their review here and it can be the Xgear Fantom thread for xda. OR we'll make yet another one with that in the title for clarity. Whatever
This thread's purpose is to help new Note 10.1 users find a screen protector that's sure to work well with S-Pen
The mods could make this a sticky for the convenience of new Note 10.1 users.

Sand scratches our screens very easily. Sand is everywhere, and can collect anywhere. It's basically just quartz, and when it sticks to something and rubs the screen, it ruins it.

I was thinking about a Spigen Screen protector. I think that the clear one for the GNote 10.1 is actually called Spigen Ultra Crystal (and not "Ultra Clear").
There's also a "Matte" version that is called Ultra Fine (Anti-Fingerprint)
I've read good reviews about the latter one here but I haven't bought it (yet).
Spigen page for the GNote 10.1 is here
Most Official accessories SUCK.
Learned it the hard way with the Asus Transformer TF101. The official case was twice the price, and a QUARTER of the quality of the AFTER MARKET cases.

Be careful with the Matte ones, many complain about scratchiness of the S-Pen on such surfaces.
Update us on how it turns out for you.
I got the acase screen protector. I love it! Leaves no scratches from spen and it feels better then glass. Let me know if you want pictures or maybe even a video.

Yes, please do tell of your experience in any way you can.
I'll post your review link in the OP.
The re-designed Ghost Armor screen protectors work perfectly. Have had one on mine for over a week now. I am drawing on my Note daily and there are no scratches on the protector at all. I got the full body shield so it was a little expensive, but I just like their product and have it on all of my devices. I've seen a few posts here mention that Ghost Armor on the original Note phone was no good and scratched easily. If you decide to go with Ghost Armor, make sure it is the NEW version if you're ordering from a kiosk. I also waited the painstakingly long 48 hours before using a pen on the screen.
clearplex
I used the clearplex screen protector and they are very nice. They boast that they are like zagg invi shield and protects the screen from breaks and stuff. They use the same material they use for car windshields. They have excellent customer service because I had a problem installing it because of my own mistake and i called them and they happily sent me a new one. (They have a 1 year warranty on the protector.) $19 is a very cheap price.
It feels like glass, looks like glass. And installation is very easy, you dont have to worry about the air bubbles that normal screen protectors have. i give it 9/10. -1 point because it takes a few days before the streaking fades away and you had to use the squeegee to maintain the bond for a few days. Other than that, I am pretty happy with this

I never got ghost armor before and am considering it. Can they put it on at the kiosk the same day you come in or do you need to leave your device there?
Could the people who post recommendations please write a bit about how and what they use the tab for! This will be helpful for users in similar scenario to decide which one to go for that suits their specific use needs.
For example;
Screen protector name, price and possible link -
Device main use -
Pros -
Cons-
Etc,
Klau1 could then collate this info into the first post with links etc.

Did you get the clear one or the matte one?

I got the clear one...you'll love it! Sorry I haven't had time to post a review yet, but trust me its the best screen protector I've ever had. I put mine on in the bathroom with shower on and didnt really take my time but it still turned out beautiful.

As long as they have the protector there at the kiosk they can put it on the same day you go in. It took about 45 minutes for them to install mine because after they put it on they place it in a heat box to help it dry faster. If they don't have the protector they will order it and call you when it's in. I had to do that once and it took about 7 days to get there since my kiosk only gets shipments once a week.

I agree, a lot of the posts here just mention that the screen protector is "good". But neglects to describe the S-PEN experience with it.
The S-PEN functionality is the purpose of this thread so it's important to comment on that, before I can post it to the OP.
Anyone have any tempered glass screen protectors on their 7 Pro?
The pre installed protector is finally giving way and I'm peeling it off today.
Anyone any experience of the Skinomi TechSkin?

Listen to this person. It's worth the cash. The only brand I'm using for now on . Every device will use this that I buy..
Why make an entire new thread, when there's one dedicated to screen protectors, including opinions on the Skinomi...

I was very impressed with the Whitestone Dome screen protector, but after a month it started to show "webbing".
Done a second install and sure enough the same issue happened again.
Not sure why as i followed instructions precisely.
I have tried various tempered glass screen protector for one plus 7 pro and most of them didn't last long. Finally go a durable one from aliexpress. It is quiet cheap too and is good even with a case on. Just sharing it here so that it would be really helpful for so many peeps out there searching for a good tempered glass. Try to apply the tempered carefully and let it settle overnight. Do not use a case for atleast a day so that it is intact with the phone. Package Reached me in 15 days to India with all the mentioned items. Checkout the below link

I'm with you here. No need to spend premium on Whitestone. This uv glueable version is perfect :good:
UV Tempered Glass for OnePlus 7 Pro
I have installed 2 of these. 1 broke when I dropped my phone. The old one did not leave any residue on the screen and came right off. This glass sits flush with the oem cases, just perfect :victory: I ordered with the aliexpress standard shipping and the package came to Finland in 8 business days. I have pictures of the glass in the other screenprotector thread.
