I saw them in other devices and want everyone here that dont see other forums to have it
You can select multi-apps from all apps list and remove them
Take it here http://d-h.st/UTo
When installing if on ics(not sure about jb) to rename it to Phonesky.apk and set permissions rw-r--r-- copy it over with a root explorer then reboot. Then you'll have 3.9.16 google play

I installed it like a regular app and it went through.

I'm on mikifroyo and wanted to get rid of some apps like Facebook news Twitter all that. I know its probably easy but can someone help? Thanks

Just lookup "Root Uninstaller" in the Market. It let me finally get rid of the NASCAR app.
Isn't it just a matter of removing the apk from the /system/app folder? I'm sure there's more to it, so hopefully someone more in the know can chime in.
My recommendation- Use Titanium Backup to do it. It's easy as can be and you can also back up the app before deleting it just in case you want it back.
If you have root explorer you can go to /system/app and set it to RW as opposed to RO and delete the apks of what you don't want....

how do I extract the rom in my evo, so I can do more mod on my pc?
Sent from my pimp out evo using xda premium
You can just take the apk's that you want to mod out and mod them that way I'm not much of a themer to help you with that.
To remove apps that you don't want or anything you don't want you can use a file manager with root like es or root explorer and just delete them.
You can also just do this to the ROM before you flash it using 7zip or something similar.

I was able to remove apps with scrip manager, but to add apps that I want like the new htc music from sense 3.5 "they call it listen" I couldn't add it. I used app manager to install it, but it would say, app did not install 8(

I'm not real good with that stuff but I on don't think you can have 2 htc music apks at the same time also if its not for that ROM I would think it might need to be signed the right way not sure on that.
But you can try putting it in system/app then change permissions to rw-r-r then reboot .
Make sure you have a backup messing with things like that.

Hey guys I can't seen to find where these two apps are installed so I can delete them.
Anyone can point me in the right direction? Thanks

They are all in /system/apps. Use any file explorer app that has root access and remove them. Titanium backup does this too..

I deleted all the stock apps that I didn't want from system/app but those two I couldn't find in there. Any particular name that they go by other than the obvious name?
Sent from my SGH-T989 using xda premium
That, I don't know. I use titanium backup to delete because it has them listed as you would see them in the drawer. Plus, with its icon to make it easy to recognize.

In case you didnt figure this out - the name of the app is LiveSource.apk /system/app/LiveSource.apk (411 & More) and Name ID is "ECID" something
So... I'm not really sure how to do this.. but I bought a 64 Gig Extra micro SD Card.. it works perfect..
When i download my google play music for offline.. i don't really have a choice to save it to the SD card.. i mean.. what's the point here?
As far as i know the only real app that I can use my EXT SD card for right now is the camera which auto saves to it.. other then that i can save Rom's and Zip's on it.. but i mean who cares.. I was really hoping to have my music saved on there.. =/
Guess ill have to manually copy the files over and not even use the google play music app?
If you manually copy the files to the extsd then the Google Play app will see them. Thats what I did and it now shows all my music as available for offline play. I'm not sure if it will put new stuff there though.

Does it do this seamlessly or is it duplicating things though? i.e. is it showing your collection twice, the online version and the offline version? I would think it would because it's looking in a different place for its offline cache.
I have been wondering the same thing. My entire collection is in google play, if I manually copy a bunch over to my SD card will it show up twice?
Mine only shows each song once. No duplicates.

The google play music app shoulld work the same as the "Music" app, except now it has like 20k songs that can be streamed (in high quality too which is awesome).
So yes, as PMentior said, it shouldn't show dupes, even if you have the music uploaded.
I've noticed that 3rd party equalizer apps don't seem to work on music that is stored on the device. Are any of you guys seeing this same behavior? Seems to only happen with stock roms. AOKP seemed to work fine. Oh..in case you are curious, yes, I have changed the sound setting to point to the 3rd party app.

There is a place in the settings of the app where you can check a box that says something like "show offline music only".

Yesterday I created a symlink in /data/data/com.google.android.music that points to my sdcard at /mnt/extSdCard/android/data/com.google.android.music and it works perfectly. No issues so far.

Do you think you could give us a little walkthrough on how to do that. I'm very interested in trying it

I'm actually having issues now. Since the data is on the external SD card, which doesn't get mounted for a few seconds after boot, the app doesn't show up in the app drawer. I have to do a hot reboot to make it show up.
However, anyone still interested:
**STD Disclaimer** You accept all necessary risks and have created a nandroid backup like a good user.
In a file explorer capable of root:
1. go to /data/data and copy the folder com.google.android.music to /mnt/extSdCard/Android/data/
2. Now you should have com.google.android.music on your external sdcard.
3. go back to /data/data and rename the "com.google.android.music" folder to "com.google.android.music.bak" as a backup just in case.
4. In terminal emulator type (or a root adb shell):
Code:
su
ln -s /mnt/extSdCard/Android/data/com.google.android.music /data/data/com.google.android.music
5. You might need to reboot and/or hot-reboot for music to work.
6. if you want to revert these changes, just go to /data/data and delete the "com.google.android.music" symlink and rename "com.google.android.music.bak" back to "com.google.android.music"
*note*
if your Play Music app is installed as a system app, then replace the beginning of the paths with /system/data instead of /data/data
If someone can come up with a better method I am completely open to hearing it.
I've looked up how to replace system apps and read multiple guides, but I haven't found what I'm looking for specifically. I want to remove the stock Google apps and replace them with alternatives. For example, I want quickpic instead of the gallery.
I've rooted my phone making it writable. I've flashed my phone enough times to know I need to read. I'm currently running Reloaded .500 RLS.
I've moved the quickpic apk to /system/app and changed the permissions and then I moved the gallery to /data/app and uninstalled it, but when I reboot the app is installed but force closes upon opening. What should I do? Also, should I change the name of the apk to the system app for association purposes because I want the replacement apps to be associated with the functions off the Google apps. Like when in messages when I click on "attach" I want to be able to click "picture from camera" which I can't right now even though I renamed the replacement app Camera.apk. Definitely need some help. Tia!

Get Titanium Backup from the market, uninstall the system apps and install your apps choosing "integrate into rom" or something similar
