pretty difficult to explain but uses logarithm to capture motion

I'm not totally sure but there are a few fitness apps on the market that have this functionality built in. I've never used any of them but remember seeing something about it. Maybe sports tracker (I think? Its the only one that comes to mind)

Port Windows Phone OS to S3

I hope I don't get flamed but I just wanna know if this is possible. There is a windows phone with the same specs as the S3 not released yet (forgot the name of it). and i would also like to know why it cannot be done if so.
Anything is possible. Is it likely someone will go through the trouble of trying to do this when you can just buy a WP8 device? Probably not.
Also, just because 2 phones use the same SoC doesn't mean they can run the same software without issue.

Thanks you for the response, definitely answered my question
One problem is that WP8 is not on open source like Android. Your phone needs a license to use it.

Not yet. It requires to use some samsung frameworks which we basically we don't have.
I was thinking about supporting devs and creating some kickstarter-like thing, so they could start developing it.
Anyone else with me?

It would be really neat to have the multiwindow feature.

this idea was already explored by cyanogenmod awhile ago with a feature called cornerstone by Onskreen ithink. this was before samsung did it. Cyanogenmod had to abandon it after a threat by Google to take away the privilege to use the play store. so basically what im saying is this is somewhat dangerous and taboo territory

ha kind of they were just worried about incompatibility issues with apps, since you could do it with any app from the app store unlike samsungs, and how google works hard to give app devs a good platform to build on blah blah blah. its a shame it was a really cool feature. for any dev willing to try this you could use some of the cornerstone stuff idk where to find it but it would be a place to start at least
heres a demo of cornerstone it was only for tablets but i think with a little work it could run on phones

[Q] Always on Google Now mic?

I know someone on XDA made an app that allowed this, but I can't find it for the life of me. Does anyone know the name of the app? Thanks.

I know that the new Moto-X phone will be "always listening" and Google Now can be activated anytime by voice. However, there is yet to be solid confirmation this will be rolled out to other devices. One reason most devices do not use this is probably the strain it puts on the battery, always having to process audio.
A lot of threads seem to discuss this - how to achieve this task. However, it appears the general consensus is that the battery would drain to quickly.
I'm sorry this didn't really answer your question, maybe in the coming weeks, once people get their hands on the Moto-X, the hardware to implement the hands free Google Now will be studied in an attempt to replicate.
EDIT: I found something! I found an app in the play store called Open Mic+. It is really new and seems to accomplish the task you are talking about. The performance seems to be iffy for now, as its still in beta, and reviewers say it drains battery, but it could be really cool.
There's an app on Google play store called Google Mic +, it's the only one I could find. Works pretty well actually.

I'm looking for someone who was able to do it too. I hope someone shows up here and share with us.
Moved to Q&A.
as in Chrome OS, or just Chrome the browser?
Chrome Browser can be installed from Playstore, but I think you are talking about Chrome OS, and as far as that goes...there has been no development on it.

Yeah but if you think about it the hardware on the latest phones are more then adequate for Chrome OS. If some developers could get together and make it work it would be awesome and I'd be willing to donate. Imagine a phone and a semi full os when plugging into a monitor.

That would be superb and great feature. Well we just wait for the developers to make a move.
I am also looking for this app. Can anyone develop this app for Note3. It is cool if any one can do this.
I think it has no devs here yet
