Nope, dont work for me stuck on sony logo ;(

Have you got an arc s or arc and have you a locked bl?

in cwm before installation
1. Wipe data/factory reset
2. wipe cache partition
3. go to mounts and storage menu and\
4. format /system
5. format/data
6. format cache
7. exit mounts and storage menu
6. go to advance
7. wipe dalvik cache
8. wipe battery stats
9. exit advance
10. install Jelly sandwich from sd card without rebooting

I have done all of this and i am also stuck at sony logo damn strange.

I gave up trying to install this and other roms due to always ending up stuck at the Sony logo. I tried all different methods of formating in cwm but none worked for me and being on a locked bootloader it's so time consuming to get back to a point where you can try again.

hahahaha so true , i have lost my afternoon trying to install this Rom. What is strange is that i had a working JSandwich (and old version).
I am tiered of going to stock then kernel for neo V then root explorar x-parts ...
But stock sucks so much compared to JS that i will probably try again in a few days.

I have locked bl in my arc s and it was never easy to install the latest versions of JS lol but if I did a full wipe ( data, cache, format /sytem, etc.) I would finally have the rom working. Probably the problem that your facing is related to your aroma combinations

Install JellySandwich 7.1 Friday Error

Hi everybod,
I was using JS 6.2 and try to install 7.1 for a changing. But when i try to install CWM 7.1 there was an error like "bad".(little android icon was down with an error on the background)
Then i roll back to 6.2
What was the problem. Isn't my Kernel or what any opinion?
I have Advanced Stock Kernel.
Thanks
shouldn't be your kernel. See if you installed with the right installation process

Yea i'm sure i'm doing the right installation. I install back to the Jelly Sandwich 6.2.
Is there any differences installing 7.1 and 6.2. I guess not.
-Install the kernel. (Already have Stokc Kernel)
-Put 7.1 setup into sd car.
-Reboot in recovery mode.
-Wipe data and cache
-Choose sd card and install(When i choose i got a broken android icon background and istallation aborted.)
-Then rollback to 6.2
I'm not sure what is wrong. anybody tried 7.1 on Lt15i?
I'm happy with 6.2 but why not more
Thanks.

10. install Jelly sandwich from sd card without rebooting
see if this works.
maybe!!
I am using jelly sandwich 7.0 in my lt15i with no problem.
Haven't tried 7.1 yet cause of it's battery drainage issue.TRY to install 7.0 first
using arc knight 3.5 kernel.

i'm not sure if this is relevant, though i'm guessing it is. have a look here

This is normal in my Xperia S (only a question)?

I have 6.1.A.2.45 version of ICS on my Xperia S and my question is that every time I start off the phone after I get a notice saying: Updating android: Optimizing # of applications ... This always happens to me each to start the phone. and it's annoying because it takes longer to start.
I have the phone rooted with CWM v2 for locked bootloaders
Its a bug, just factory reset if it bothers you.
Its a root, cwm or rom bug?
Sent from my LT26i using xda app-developers app
It depends on what have you flasged, moded lately. It is occurring at specific mods....
Hit Thanks if I helped

I noticed my phone did that when i "cleaned the dalvik cache" using titanium backup as the sony roms seem to create a 0kb file in the dalvik cache folder which tells the phone to to not rebuild the cache.

wait you optimizing them.........the system optimizes them on its own as if freshly installed
yeah it is annoying the more apps you have the more it takes times
I am noob at Linux distros but it seems like the prefetch file used in windows(cannt be sure about this )
you dont have to clear dalvink cache daily just do it when you find your phone laggy or heavy like you do with battery status when you find your battery life is not as it supposed to be

I have official stock ICS and kernel just rooted and installed cwm v2
and whenever i clean dalvik cache it re-optimizes application
there is a definition about dalvik cache on wiki search it on google since i still cannt post the link
so dont worry and this is not a bug this optimization is in all roms base on 4.x.x versions as far as i know
it is a bit annoying i know but cannt do anything about it i guess

If I flash back to the GB ROM that's available when I use EMMA (when I tried earlier it is the only "service" that came up). Then do the steps outlined here, will it work? [Q] [Xperia S] CM10 Installation problems

Hello.
I was running cm9 for a few months without problems. But since the update from Januari the 13th apps started crashing.. I then tried to completly reinstall (wipe everthing), but got stuck on bootloop. Then I thought lets try cm10, and also I get stock on the booting screen.
These are the steps I did.
Flashed LT26i_6.1.A.2.50_1257-5499_WORLD.ftf to go back to stock rom.
Went trough the wizard and all and let it settle down for a few minutes.
Shutdown.
Fastboot boot.img from FXP202-cm-10-20130110-UNOFFICIAL-nozomi.zip
Fastboot reboot
Enter recovery
Flash rom FXP202-cm-10-20130110-UNOFFICIAL-nozomi.zip
Flash gapps gapps-jb-20121011-signed.zip
Wipe cache
Wipe dalvik
Reboot system
But it never boots, I get stuck on bootscreen (same procedure I did with CM9, but also got stuck on bootscreen),
What am I doing wrong?
Try doing full wipe and reinstall CM 10 as you did previously

1. Fastboot boot.img
2. Fastboot reboot
3. Enter recovery
4. Factory reset
5. Wipe/format system, cache, data, dalvik
6. Install Rom zip
But then I get error and says installation aborted..

And take that cm-10-20130110-UNOFFICIAL is CM 10.2 for such reason look for JB Gapps For Android version 4.1.2
I flashed the Rom very well, also the kernel. my problem were the Gapps. I see there that you do not have the correct gapp zip for cm-10-20130110-UNOFFICIAL;This is CM 10.2 after installation and you need a 4.1.2 JB Gapps. Try and repeat the process.

I do have the correct gapps. This CM is android version 4.1.2. Here I downloaded the latest for CyanogenMod 10.0.x which is for android versions 4.1.x.
Anyway after a whole evening/night of flashing I finally managed to get it working via hei1125 cm10 version:
http://goo.im/devs/hei1125/nozomi
I dont know what I did to make it working again, but it does.. CM10 does look a lot nicer then CM9. Although I heard it has some bugs, which yet I still have to encounter..

Hello,
I have a problem updating my nozomi (xperia s) to the newest cm version. I always get error 7 - some symlinks failed and i cant install an update without factory reset / wipe user data. After this step i can install the zip, but without wipeing, always the same error.
When i'm installing updates on my girlfriend's urushi (xperia ray), everything works fine.
Any ideas?
Thanks

It's always recommend to wipe all (cache, davlink even system) then flash.
Be sure to mount system and then try.
And of course, check is you zip file o.k (maybe download again)
Even if you updating cm to new version it's best if you wipe.
I know that's lot of work, but only then you'll have good battery life, smooth and fast ROM and stability.

I had just the same problem today. I installed cm10 from recovery and did everything you did!!!!
What i did to solve this prblem is:
- Went into recovery.
- wiped cache and dalvik.
- flashed the latest CM10 (FXP215 to be precise) again!!
- flashed gapps again!!
- after flashing both zips I wiped dalvik and cache again.
- Than reboot.
If you keep getting into bootloops, keep doing these steps. Beliefe me man I had the exect same problam today and this solved it . Just dont panic or do something stupid and have alot of patients! :good:
But this is not a so called clean install. I use factory reset to have a clean install or just wipe data partition. After 1st boot I restore only some of my saved data with titanium backup.

check my signature for Arc to S guide... even if you are an Arc S owner...make a new fresh start...then after you flashed stock ics fw flash a nice JB ROM (X 4.5 or SJB 7.1 recommended) and see the difference... or wait a bit for me to launch my new ICS launcher with honami cam UI and other goodies

I guess you already did a clean install via CWM, wipe data > format/system > wipe cache > wipe dalvik cache > battery stats.
Also whenever I do install fixes via CWM I wipe cache/dalvik cache aswell, after each fix install.
What apps do you currently have installed?

Yes Bro!! That is always my procedure when flashing new ROMs!!! But after using my phone for one or two days, "dialler" starts to lag until it takes about 10min to respond :crying:
This happened with ALL ROMs I tried!!
I don't use much apps, but I'm using Link2SD for more internal memory!!!
Any clue??
