Stock Odin rooted Rom? - Sprint Samsung Galaxy S III

I there a rooted stock Odin flashable rom?
My pc broke and i need to revive my phone from Mobile Odin because all of the sudden my battery life went from 6hrs to 4hrs of screentime.I tried flashing different roms and no imrovement.I think Odin is my only answer.

This should be in the Q&A thread ull get more help in that thread. But I'm so confused on ur question r u asking for a good rom that has good battery life? Or a custom recovery? Or go back to stock unrooted?

Rooted Evo dead.
Rooted Evo shift dead.
Rooted Galaxy s3 alive and well!

He wants a ROM that can be pushed/flashed through ODIN, I think...
My question is do you have Mobile ODIN Lite, or Pro? If Pro, MO will root the ROM for you as it's being flashed....best money I've spent on an apk (along with the pro versions of several other XDA Developer developed apks)! If you're Lite, you may need to root after flashing the ROM I linked to, below (if you want the latest official TW build).

Did not work,i tried flahing rooted rom and only thing it flashed was stock recowery and got stuck on rom part.So now i have a phone with stock recovery and no pc.Is there any signed cwm or roms that can be flashed from stock recovery?

Did you read through all of the posts on the threads you went to? More often than not, someone else has experienced the same issue and a solution has already been found. You should not do anything on your phone until you are as prepared as possible in knowing what you'll do and what to expect - including the possible negative outcomes.
You obviously have access to the forums, so why not put ODIN on that PC and start over?

Not unless i get a pc and Odin or i can find signed flashable cwm or rom that i can flash in stock recovery.
Right now all i can get is stock recover(because rom did not flash) and download mode.
I have another unrooted S3 and rooted S2,i wonder if its possible to root a android phone from another android phone by terminal and by connecting two phones together with usb,can it be done?

I could see MAYBE being possible on an older/less secure phone where the superoneclick or zergrush exploit worked but in this case no way unless your kernel is insecure and looking at both roms you were linked to, yours is not.
altho u say u flashed the rooted one so u probably have root and just can't boot. How far do you get into the boot process. Cuz if i had to guess you flashed the Rom and didn't wipe data and you're hanging on the glowing Samsung logo. Some hope lies there. If im right, try wiping data in stock recovery. Either way what your attempting may just be possible so report back

[NO LONGER REQUIRED] Testers for dsixda's Android Kitchen (for Sprint GS3)

Hi guys,
I have recently added support for the Galaxy S3 for my Android ROM kitchen, and have confirmed that ROMs can successfully be built and flashed for the GS3 variants for AT&T, T-Mobile and International.
Since I don't have the Sprint device, I was wondering if some of you can confirm it works for the SPH-L710 (and also the C Spire SCH-L710).
Please follow the instructions below to use the kitchen for your GS3. These are T-Mobile instructions but should also work for the Sprint model:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1939420
Would be greatly appreciated!
No one wants to give this a shot? It should definitely work, since the file format of the Sprint S3 custom ROMs are similar to that of the other S3 variants.

Running this right now on a Linux box(Mint 13 Cin.). Will report back. Attempting to do the latest jelly bean leak.
How'd it go? Make sure you have latest version of kitchen.
Ran it and it wouldn't flash on my phone. Attempting to use my windows box just to see if it wasn't something that I did that made it not work.
Same thing happened on my other box. Keeps failing when it says updating cache. Says it expects an arguement of four but is only getting three.

Updating cache? What did you try to do to your rom? Did you start with a stock, unmodified rom? The error about the arguments has to do with the update-binary, but first I need to know what you are doing. Simplest thing to do is to just root it and then flash that.
I am definitely interested in this. I'll try to get it prepped if the gf relinquishes my pc to me =(. Wb dsixda. Saw your kitchen was on hiatus before. Now to cook up some custom roms for myself and friends.

I had the stock deodexed LIH update. It was in zip format. All I did was run it through the kitchen. (Make a working folder and the option 99 to build from working folder). I made no edits whatsoever. I used the interactive mode to build the rom. Both times, it failed on me with the same code. I can upload the update-binary from the one I built if that will help.

No no... that's not the way I intended it. I linked a guide on the first post, please do not ignore the instructions. The kitchen will not work with someone else's zipped ROM - everyone uses their own methods. Start with an untouched stock ROM image and root it, then flash it.

Ok got it. Read the instructions wrong. Only have the LG8 in tar format that I will try. I flash this via odin when I have problems. Will report back.
Ran the odin files through the kitchen and the rom booted up just fine.

Welcome to android. Definitely got a good device for first android experience. Well now since you are rooted you will have to flash a custom recovery. You can download the goo.im app from the play store to get cwm recovery. That way you can flash anything to any partition within the phone. Now is that kernel for the t mobile s3? If its not, then I don't recommend flashing. Just flash what you find here. Ktoonsez makes great kernels. There are also stock over clocked ones and others as well. Once you have cwm OK installed then go ahead and download the kernel using your phone's browser. Then to boot into custom recovery, power off the device and when powering it back on press and hold the power and the volume down button. When the device vibrates once, you can then let go and and from there cwm should work and then flash file from .zip and look for your downloaded kernel and flash it

Do not flash anything to your phone that didn't come from this forum (TMo S3). In other words, don't flash that kernel you were talking about. There are certain exceptions, but just follow this rule: do not flash anything to your phone that didn't come from this forum (TMo S3).
you used http://http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1695238 this to root your phone? - that thread is for international S3 version

The rom which you want to flash, that version should match your mobile version. If you want to flash tmobile version of rom, you may hard brick your device.

type your mobile name and the carrier on which you are. and the name of the rom you want!
if you want some other unofficial roms, then make sure they are supported by your carrier device. ask the developer of that rom about this. plz click thanks insted of saying!
:laugh::good:
Basically take whatever ROM you want from the i9505 and flash it via CWM or any custom recovery, but NOT via Odin; this is due that Odin flashables usually include the i9505 modem... It won't brick your device, but you will be left without a signal.
Btw, make sure you flash a Samsung based T Mobile kernel (original, faux etc) AFTER flashing the ROM you want. Otherwise you could have a potential soft brick in your hands .
To wrap it up, it's :
1- Flash rom of choice via custom recover, not Odin
2- Flash T Mobile, Samsung based kernel via custom recovery.
3- Enjoy!

You can safely flash any of the Tmobile S4 Touchwiz Jellybean 4.2.2 cwm/twrp flashable custom roms.
The Wicked and the Darthstalker roms both work fine on the i9505 Galaxy S4 phone.
You can find both of these excellent custom roms in the "T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S 4 Android Development" threads.
Both of these roms are based on the latest M919UVUAMDL firmware.
If you want more information and details about these roms you can find it in their threads here in xda.
Always do a full wipe including Factory Reset, Wipe System, Wipe Cache and Wipe Dalvik Cache before flashing.
Be sure to make a nandroid backup before flashing any roms.
Good luck!

[Q] Updated stock ROM -- lost Wi-Fi!

I downloaded the cdma file for the SPH-L710 from Sammobile.com and flashed it with Mobile Odin. I now have 4.1.2 but my Wi-Fi radio won't turn on no matter what I do. The 4G is working and everything else is OK except my e-mail went from white background with black letters to black background with white letters. I can live with the e-mail like that but I need my Wi-Fi! Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I saw the stock MD4 (4.1.2) Touch Wiz but I was unsure if Touch Wiz is what I needed. I am on Sprint in the US and my phone is SPH-L710. With my Galaxy S1, I had Cyanogen Mod which I flashed nightly builds and then my phone died (black screen) after 2 years. I've had the S3 for a few months. I rooted it but did not modify anything so my flashing skills are rusty . Someone suggested Mobile Odin so that's what I used to flash the firmware.

I flashed it with Mobile Odin and now, I have 4.1.2 and Wi-Fi. Yay! This Senior Citizen is now happy :victory:
I would just flash freeza's customized kernel (like milky said). You can do it from custom recovery...
