OMG! I have been downloading and flashing every few nightly update for the cm10 official ROM. The last one woke my galaxy s3 att up! It is the fastest I have ever seen, also showing jellybean build 4.1.2 in about screen. The phone seems twice as fast, I have been playing with about a dozen ROMs in the last few weeks and this new nightly is by FAR the best performer I have seen.

I have man-crush for BuglessPete.
Best ROM EVAR.
This rom seems to have a great rep..and I've heard of it from owning previous devices but can't say I ever ran it. Can someone just break down the basics like why people love it so much or what stands out about it? Would be appreciated thanks

The boot animation is still the one from Cm9..
The Cm10 one should be merged in with a later nightly.
The download you pointed is for toro.
For maguro: http://get.cm/?device=maguro
Anyone else have super slow boot times? I did a fresh install and this one takes forever to boot as well.
Long first boot is totally usual.
If it's only the 1st then don't worry
Mine boots in about 60 /70s which i do not consider long
No not first boot all the time. My last one would take 2min+ and now the new nightly is over a min.
Is this generally regarded as as better or worse than the jellybro nightlies? I'm pretty new to custom ROMs!
Sent from my Nexus 7 using xda app-developers app
Anyone else noticing degraded camera picture quality? I'm seeing a significant drop in quality. Lots of noise in the resulting images.
Mine has been super fast, love it over stock jellybean

Thanks for this. I was using cm 9 nightlies for some time.
Firstly I tried a clean wipe with gapps. This caused a force close. Then rolled back and did a dirty flash without gapps. Had problems with sync etc. Last night did a full wipe with the correct gapps. Works like a dream.
However I cannot find Google now. I have tried gapps again but still not there. Any ideas were I can get it from?

Very fast and efficient, even the nightlies are extremely stable. No battery problems however it did randomly crash and reboot one a few times for no reason I assume it has or will be fixed in the future though

I know this is not specific to our device, but perhaps it may be in the future. Looks like CM is going to be releasing new monthly builds along with their usual nightlies and stable releases when available. Take a read.

I think they are great as long as they work. I spent days customizing everything but then I had to revert back to ics because of all the calling and freezing issues.

And I'm on Hellfire JB which is feeling stable and great to me. I remove some "bloat" (in my eyes it is) and I'm happy with it... what you need to do is test them all out for about a 2-3 days to test battery and then switch to a new one to see what it feels like and to test battery again. Over and over until you find what you like. Me personally I like AOKP but trying out new things while everything is moving so fast for these roms. Once you flash official CM10 a new AOKP is out and so on so its hard to base these roms and say which is best. Try them out and you will find what works best for you. Also this thread is frowned upon. Lol.

Simple to Root yes, Most roms are 4.1 based i believe.. Try The People's Rom.. Great overall performer with a few tweaks.

Easy to root yes I had this phone less then 4 hours and it was rooted. The only thing that took so long is I went out to dinner after buying it. Rooted both mine and the wife's and tested TPR (The Peoples Rom) and CM10 both are very ROCK solid. Not sure which one I am going to stick with but leaning on TPR.
To my knowledge the only ROM's currently out are 4.0.1 and 4.1.1 based. I don't believe any 4.2 ROM's are out, but you can check through the forums. Though, I'm pretty certain there isn't.
