Reflash your ROM?
Also are you sure it doesn't boot up? Or maybe it's just not showing the animation?

how am i supposed to flash it if i don't have the rom's original ZIP file on my phone anymore, i've deleted it since i don't need it again, i still have one on my computer BUT how do i insert it to my phone's storage, i can't access my phone's internal storage because my phone won't boot into android
after the google image, my phone doesn't show me anything just a black screen, but after 30 seconds i press the power button i can see the crt tv animation like if you lock your gnex, but my gnex doesnt show anything, i can only boot it into cwm or recovery, can't get into android
now im trying to flash google factory image through gnex toolkit, since you can flash google factory image using it, is it gonna work ?
but i think my phone isn't bricked, i can still boot it into cwm or recovery

If it has an SD card use an adapter I always keep one handy in such an occasion occurs

gnex doesn't have sd card slot, don't you remember ?

problem solved i was able to flash google factory image using gnex toolkit, that being said, all my data is lost now

That wasnt really necessasry. You could've transfered the ROM with adb push commands. I advice you to keep a version of your ROM on your SD card so you dont run into this problem again.
Swype'ed on my CM10 Galaxy Nexus

A factory reset will do too if you put it in /data/local.. At least you save your SDcard.

You could have created a update.zip file to change the bootanimation so the phone could boot normaly

[Q] Stuck at splash screen

My phone is stuck at my custom splash screen, and everytime I reboot into bootloader I can't get to recovery because it always asks me about the splash screen update. HELP! How can I get to recovery?
Turn phone off. Remove sd card. It won't scan since dres nothing to scan. Scroll to recovery, and select. While it's booting to recovery, replace sd card. And do whatever you need to do in recovery after your card is replaced. Hope this helps.

I learned that the hard way. I'll never keep a flashable zip in the root of the sdcard again.

I did the same thing, cuz it was when the MIUI update wouldn't boot up lol. So I thought I had killed my phone. I literally almost cried.

Can't boot into phone, seems no way to recover.

Hello I recently messed up my phone trying to get a custom rom onto my phone. (It is a l710 model)
I can boot into Clockwork Recovery and ODIN just fine, but I phone won't start up.
I used GS3 toolkit to root phone and it all worked fine, but then used clockwork to install custom rom.
I want to recover my phone but the only rom on the internal SD is the one that doesn't work.
I have a Nandroid backup I made using the galaxy s3 toolkit, its on the computer and sd card.
However I cannot restore using toolkit since it just waits for the phone to be on and in usb debugging mode to continue
Recovery says "Couldn't open directory" "No files found" when trying to restore backup.
I would try puting another rom on an sd card but it only browses internal storage (internal sd).
I went to mount external sd but didnt seem to help
Not sure if ODIN can do anything...
Don't know what else to try

I tried that but my phone just flashes samsung then the samsung galaxy s III and then turns off (or at least it appears to be off).
Is there a way to restore Nandroid backups with odin?

You can get adb/the toolkit to see the phone. Go into the device manager while your phone is plugged in and booted to recovery. You should see a device with a ! next to it should be your phone. If you manually install the driver the toolkit will see it. Have the toolkin boot you into download mode. If you have recovery Odin mode should be okay, u sure ur holdin "vol down, home, pwr"?
Thanks for your time.
I managed to get it working.
What I did was
1. using odin, reflash the insecure boot thing.
2. reinstall the rom through recovery
3. factory reset
and then is wasnt stuck in a boot loop anymore
after that I could access internal storeage sd.
I had this same issue. After using ODIN Rom would hang on boot animation. Would never boot all the way and I gave it close to 45 minutes. I also found the only way to resolve this issue was doing a factory reset after flashing through ODIN. Im using Vzw model so I guess it is happening cross platforms.

im not sure but i remember on my g2x you could hook up phone from recovery mode and mount it on the computer with sd card .. have you looked around in CWM? This is your fault to be honest you deserve this for not making a NAND back up. ALWAys MAKE A BACK UP! period. There is a reason why devs and everyone else stress' it so much.
Sert00 is right. Flash any [previously] working ROM on it. It will be a dirty flash and some stuff won't work, but you'll be able to backup your data. You'll reflash again later

Unfortunately, at least with these beta realeases of JB, usb mount via recovery almost never work.

Phone stuck in boot loop

Hello guys,
So basically my phone shut down while I was using the app drawer. And it got into a boot loop. The phone is rooted, and it has Lean Kernel and Paranoid Android 3.6 installed on it. It tried to factory reset, wipe data, wipe cache, basically do everything in the recovery mode, but it still wouldn't boot. So then I formatted the sd card, and everything else there was to format. And now the phone is just stuck on the word Google. I understand (guess) that's because I've formatted the internal memory. How do I get to flash a rom to the phone now? The computer can't seem to get a connection via USB while the phone is stuck on the word Google. Thanks for your help

Just ran in to the exact same problem on my girlfriend's phone. Please help. It turns on and I can get into bootloader mode and recovery but when I go to reboot, it just stays on Google startup screen. I did the same things, formatting and such. The sd card is empty with nothing to flash. Help!
Ok, so I've managed to flash another rom. But it only shows me the boot animation and back to the Google logo...

I tried installing this kernel and this rom. But it still doesn't boot up. It seems that the kernel is installed on the phone, but the rom isn't, because the command line on the phone doesn't actually write Done or anything else, it just sits there for a while doing nothing.
why dont you flash back to stock using fastboot?
Been there and the "Nexus Root Toolkit" by WugFresh really came in handy. Used the software to go back to stock and since then no problem

Via fastboot flash the recovery first and restore from there
and then see..
it should boot up..
or
just flash a stock rom too then.

Ok, so I'm trying the Nexus Root Toolkit right now to get back to stock. But the log shows that archive does not contain:'boot.sig' , 'archive.sig', and 'system.sig'. The process was finished, and it says that stock was isntalled on the phone, but it still stuck in boot loop. It says in the CMD that it might be stuck in boot loop for 5-10 minutes, but it will eventually boot. But the phone still doesn't. And I've also tried to install each .img file through fastboot using this guide. But it still seems to be stuck in bootloop. I've been waiting for 5 minutes, but I'll keep it on for longer...
Update:
Ok, once it showed that :"apps are updating x out of y" and then it started looping again, and then another time it booted until the place where I could choose my language, aaaand it started looping again.

Well that is a progress
Try to update the recovery using Nexus Root Toolkit. Push the stock ROM using the advanced option and then flash the stock again using recovery. Wipe cache and dalvik cache then reboot.

try to lock your bootloader. if its still unlocked after you reboot your phone, your emmc chip is fried.
Having the bootloop. I've tried the Universal Nexus Tool for Linux and get no boot SIG and recovery SIG error.

I locked it with "fastboot oem lock" and after taking out the battery it says that the bootloader is locked. So I guess the emmc chip is fine?
By the way, is emmc memory related in anyway to the Lagfix(fstrim) app that I've got from Google Play to speed up my Nexus? Maybe the problem is somewhere there?
Also, If I'd locked the bootloader and took it to the Sprint store, would they try to fix it even though I had the phone for more than a year?
I've tried everything and still a bootloop. No matter if I recover to stock or flash a custom ROM.

Bootanimation.zip caused bootloop

Hi Guys, I've stuffed up my LG G3 with a boot animation for a phone with the same resolution. I replaced the stock boot image (hidden in data/) and rebooted, the animation plays great! over and over and over. The original bootanimation zip is still in that folder as bootanimation.zip.orig.
Is there any way of fixing this without reflashing? I'm currently using an Optus/Virgin Mobile branded LG G3.
Flash using normal flash not CSE. Should hopefully fix it. Don't replace boot image. If you want to change the boot animation you just need to replace the bootanimation.zip with the one you want.

Hi, Thanks for the speedy reply, can you elaborate on what you mean by "Normal flash"? As for the boot animation, dont worry, if I can recover my phone I wont be doing any tinkering again without fully understanding what I'm doing lol.
I'd also like to point out that I stupidly, didnt install a custom recovery before doing this. any help would be appreciated.
Using LG flash Tool, select the KDZ file you want to flash then select normal flash as in the picture.
Hope this helps.
Thank you, I will try that tonight.
Nah, didnt work. It cant even register that my phone is connected to the PC. even in download mode
