Who wants to play guinea pig? [Kernel] - Galaxy Note II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have a kernel ready and sitting here with some neat features, and I have no device yet. If anybody is interested please PM me with your Gtalk addy. People who are familiar with my S3 kernel preferred so I don't have to explain all the features again. It's a direct port/same source continuation of the kernel.
Edit: the kernel is out, check the dev forum.

i can test it for you. send me a pm with a link

This thread has a very obnoxious feel to it, you might want to revise a little as to not piss off the cm team

no good could come from this.
If people would actually post useful information instead of complaining about the thread, plenty good can come from this. Here is an example:
Wifi fix if you are on the 11.24 build- 2 options

2)Unofficial, but is working for me, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1299621&page=300 post 2991.

I think we should roll with this, and as people post USEFUL information, you should monitor the responses and then list them in the OP, so it doesn't turn into another thread of 3000 posts. Just my opinion...

I don't see why it would. It could help cut down the nonsense over there. It really is ridiculous trying to find an answer over there because of all the wasted posts. As long as the OP logs useful posts in the OP I think this will be a good thing.

I was going to post this in the dev thread, but this seems like a better thread for general questions.
Once we get official CM7 support, will this mean...
a.)CM9 will work no problem
b.)some recoding will be required to get CM9 working
c.)the same gargantuan effort need to be made again

B or A. They said it'd be substantially easier

Im just saying c because nothing.can be promised. I.can.understand b because the kernel is almost the same. Not a because there will have ti be SOME recoding...
Sent from my epic that didn't have CIQ before it was cool
Many said we would never see gingerbread. Cm9 is a "when", and i have no problem waiting for the epic devs to work their magic on their own time. Ginger has been official for less than a month, and samsung themselves are already testing other waters for us! I love my OG epic.

Cross-post from CM-KANG thread: Audio Dock Redirection?
Does anyone know of a CM-compliant kernel that works with Galaxy Sound Redirector?
I would LOVE to use my fancy CM phone with the Samsung Car Dock - and I cannot without a simple modification to the kernel + Galaxy Sound Redirector.
The relevant kernel code.
I've been made to understand that the CM team in general does not support this modification; if Deca, et al do not wish to I understand - I just wish I knew of a ready-to-use kernel that does!
still not get the 3g data working
excuse me sir,
i've been installed the cm7, and still not get the 3g data working
i was using, the sleeperROM then i've backedup the apn, using apnbackup before turned into CM7.
then i restored the config, but still not work.
any guide, how to fix it?
thanks master.
sorry for my bad english

Frankenstein's FIFO2

Can somebody please upload the latest version of this rom for me or point me to a mirror? I can't post in the development part of xda because of lack of posts. Going to the download page only results in file not found so if the maker of this rom could reupload it or somebody else could it would be greatly appreciated. I would love to try this rom

I have a question for a Mod

So, I've gotten lots and lots of questions about where to find Thor's OC kernel, since it's not on xda. Is there a reason it's not on here? Or has nobody taken the time to post it? I have a DL link ready, but I didn't want to post it if it's against the rules.
Thanks guys!

Not a mod but its most likely that the dev is not a part of XDA for some reason or another. It would be a bad idea to post the link without the express permission of the developer

JellyBamThread?

I found a new version of JellyBam on Goo.im today - flashed it and it just amazing. I started searching to see if I could find a thread related to it - and I couldn't find anything.
Does anyone know who is responsible for this? I don't know how recent this version is - but I have not seen it before - and I use GOO.im quite a bit -
Here is the download from GOO.Im for JellyBam V 7.2 http://goo.im/devs/JellyBam/Samsung%20Galaxy%20Note%202%20LTE%20-%20t0lte/jellybam-v7.2.0_t0lte-STABLE.zip and from what I can see there is no reference to the Developer there - but it is a SWEET Rom!
Now, back to the original point of this question and the reason for this being posted in the QA thread - does anyone know who is responsible for this ROM?
JellyBam was banned from XDA.

WHOA - why ? Do you know?
I'm curious too! I've been running jelly beer for a while. I try other rooms but always go back. I've always been happy with the work and the speedy replies and updates. I know it's not really my business but I hate to see those rooms go.

From what I heard, Jellybam roms are banned from XDA for using other people's work without giving credit or getting permission from other developers. But dont quote me on this.

I heard something similar - but I don't know the facts - now I am curious, Is it just JellyBam? I noticed that ROOTBOX Thread was also closed. Is this somehow related? There might be others too -
I have never seen so many ROMS just dissappear in so short a period of time before.....strange....
Its all about reading and following the rules. Doesn't matter is your a new member, an RC, RT, RD, or mod. We all have to play by the same rules.
