Stock touchwiz kernel LI3 I'm running on freegs3 v2.0
Anybody have a zip I can download or could u point me to the right thread for it I like it better then the custom one I flashed earlier.

Just reflash FreeGS3 without wiping. Since the stock kernel is included in the build, it should overwrite your custom kernel

I believe we are still waiting for a stock based kernel with CWM, Busybox, and Superuser that's overclockable. I, for one, can't wait to see it.

I know bubby has the capability. But he has been focused on his ROM since we pulled out the stock kernel from my phone.

I was wondering if I could flash starburst Rom and then flash the stock kernel w/clockwork instead of the Lostkernel (yes there is someone on the forums with recompiled stock kernel with clockwork), is starburst compatible with stock kernel? I am a little new to this, I have rooted EVO 4g and a Nexus s 4g but some of the issues with the Epic touch have kept me from trying out different roms and kernels. Thank you and sorry if this has been answered somewhere else, I could not find the answer.

I'm going to replace my T989's stock ROM with Jugg 5.0.
How do I go about replacing the stock Kernel with Mr. X's Synergy. Only reason I want that Kernel is to have the flashing capacitive buttons for notification purposes...
Do you recommend these two together? Is that possible (since the Kernel is based off Jugg)?
I know how to install the ROM...just not the Kernel.
Also, what is the purpose of replacing the "stock modem?"

You can flash the synergy rom just fine with jugs 5.0. Im using that setup right now. Wipe cache and dalvik and then flash synergy then reboot.

You pretty much just download a kernel with cwm built in and flash the .tar file with Odin.

I can't say im up to date on agats thread but i would use agats ff18 cwm from source. Its safe.
You can get this via sfhubs autoroot or via the kernel thread.

I know everyone likes different things but all I really want is a ICS streamlined Rom with all the bloat removed that everything works and is quick.
Any recommendations and instructions on how to get from where I am at now to the custom Rom?

If your stock ics kernel you can mobile Odin, Odin or flash a custom kernel, such as agats 5.4 kernel and then flash an ics rom. Or if your on a custom kernel, just flash the rom you want. All rom OPs have instructions. Obviously those who know me know what rom I will say, but we have tons of themes and mods for the "Goodness" rom. Pretty simple really. ok here is the thing i was running cm10 whit a lean kernel but i upgrade to jb stock last nite i want to now if i can root my s3 again and use lean kernel whit the stock jb rom whit flashing cm10 again or any other custom rom

i would say, just flash the stock rooted sammy jb from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1739426 then follow the rest of the instructions of installing a custom recovery and then installing your custom stuff.

I dont think you can flash leankernel to the stock JB.
I think the leankernel is for aosp roms like aokp and cm.
If you look at tasks kernels, he has a variation for stock roms and for aosp roms.
I'd be concerned that you end up with a soft brink if you tried to use leankernel on the stock JB... but if you try and it works let us know!

LeanKernel is NOT to work on stock roms.
