Starburst ROM compatible with the Stock kernel W/clockwork mod? - Samsung Epic 4G Touch

I was wondering if I could flash starburst Rom and then flash the stock kernel w/clockwork instead of the Lostkernel (yes there is someone on the forums with recompiled stock kernel with clockwork), is starburst compatible with stock kernel? I am a little new to this, I have rooted EVO 4g and a Nexus s 4g but some of the issues with the Epic touch have kept me from trying out different roms and kernels. Thank you and sorry if this has been answered somewhere else, I could not find the answer.

Lol yes.......

There are 3 kernels right now,Twilight Zone, genocide,BakedSnack, your ROM of choice will come with one of them, and they are not all compatible with every ROM,read up.

Flashing kernels with synergy+godmode

Need advice on how to properly flash golden monkey 1.1 or freedom 0.2 on synergy+godmode. I saw a modified script zip to flash with synergy+ in the freedom thread that works with godmode but its for the 0.1 version. Will this work to flash all custom kernels running synergy+godmode? Just want to avoid any problems/conflicts/bootloops. Currently running mikG 2.41 with golden monkey 1.1. Thanks for any and all advice.

[Q] Stock kernel base with cwm?

Has anybody modified the stock kernel with cwm and oc yet? Or are we still waiting for zedomax to post v4?

I believe we are still waiting for a stock based kernel with CWM, Busybox, and Superuser that's overclockable. I, for one, can't wait to see it.

I know bubby has the capability. But he has been focused on his ROM since we pulled out the stock kernel from my phone.

CM7 nightly and Zedomax V3 root kernel.

I rooted using zedomax root method. My question is can I use CM7 with the zedomax kernel or do I need to revert back to the stock eg30 kernel?

Where are you going to get CM7 from?
We don't have cm7 yet. Unless your a tester Orsomething you would have to ask the cm7 team.

Lol something tells me he was just going to download CM7 from the I9100 or a random phone not knowing the difference. Someone that would be lucky enough to test a CM7 alpha would surely never post a question such as this.

Just reflash FreeGS3 without wiping. Since the stock kernel is included in the build, it should overwrite your custom kernel
