Hey People,
I bought Tasker from the play market a few days ago, and set some basic tasks (WiFi on at home, all volumes off at work, etc etc)
It tool me a while to set it up, been searching the net for tutorials, etc. I am a noob
If you don't mind, could you please share some of your Tasker profiles for the Galaxy S3
Thanks
PS; I hope this is in the right forum

Hello guys
So blade doesn't support flash (what a pity) and i tried to download tinyshark but it didnt work for obvious reasons as it requires flash. So i am wondering if there is any substitution for tinyshark(as long as the music is free) that doesn't require flash? if so please write here! thx!
No need, simply download flash for armv6 and Tinyshark will work. Can't post a link to it as I haven't posted enough on this forum sorry, do a search and it should come up.

Could anyone please test JReader Google Reader app (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1782777, https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jyvee.jreader) and let me know if you get any issues on Galaxy S2 (layout, style, crashes)?
Thank you in advance!

Nice app...
Syncs the feeds properly...
didn't quite like the list view, and on click which displays only a preview and on second click the article is marked as read....need to check settings to change this behavior....to display previw in list view and open article on click.
need to get used to the bottom icons in the list view... they look all too similar....

Hi, click shouldn't mark items as read. Items are marked read on image button click only (the top rightmost one in item's expanded view).
I agree about action bar icons, will try to think of something new
Thank you for your suggestions!
At night time I often have the phone under my pillow so I can listen to music quietly, instead of leaving it on the nightstand.
I figured using the volume keys might be a sensible approach, but then realized that would just change the volume.
I was wondering if anyone has figured a way (either through an app or Tasker) to change tracks without turning the screen on and touching the phone?
I think the Nottach mod has a feature to change tracks by holding the volume buttons.

Thank you for the info.
I was hoping for an app (or Tasker profile) instead of changing my ROM as right now, I am quite happy with rooted stock.

Is there any way I can control and schedule Extreme Power Saving Mode from the automation app TASKER?
Try DU Battery Saver.
WOW
Where was I ... 1.5 million Stars and I never heard of this app ... Thanks mate.
Does DU Battery Saver give you access to Extreme Power saver through Tasker?
I would love to use Tasker to schedule the mode on and off.
Was thinking of using it as a "efficiency control", certain hours in the day the phone stays "phone", without all distractions =)
Thank you.

I don't believe there's any way to "easily" do that, but I believe there is a way. Possibly, you could launch the settings app in Tasker, and then use a script to automatically click the menu selections in order to enable it. I haven't used these methods myself, but I did watch this Youtube tutorial on it a little while back. Maybe it will be of some help.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0NiOoSZz3oA
Edit: I should mention that it starts out with a lesson on voice activation, but it doesn't take long before he starts discussing the script process.
Edit 2: Just realized this is a month old thread. >:|
i have managed to do it on the M7 using llama . Also works with tasker

Hi, I'm almost certain that this has come up before but I don't find the search in the mobile app very accessible/useful. But here it goes:
I have set up an avatar but I don't seem to see it in the app or on the web page (well I don't see any avatars there). Has this been deprecated or is the another reason?

Looks like you don't have one, go here(https://forum.xda-developers.com/profile.php?do=editavatar) and get an avatar, use set custom avatar > choose file > set the pic you wanna see as your avatar > hit save changes, good to go.
